    Wow! I'm stumped, also???? Looks like a Woodward Hyd. Governor on the 673P (or is it a 711???). So much for the turbo (613) also....... Could be a cab-over motor, that was swapped in. Their numbers were stamped in the back top of the block (if your not having any luck on the accessory drive location).Hmmmmmm??????

    Joe D.,I couldn't quite remember the whole name but thought it had something to do with "Hula" anyway! Knew the one you were talkin' about,as it was a favorite of mine also.     Don't they know they have to consult US(BMT) before changing anything pertaining to and it's image that the logo portrays? It does look like it's either taking a dump or like "screw it,I'm just gonna sit here and wait like a good dog" ............Well like all the other changes we're not happy with, I'll just ignore it and think about the good old ...........Al

    A simpler time Joe,for sure. I sure miss those kind of "family" run dealerships. Now the dealers are 1 of a dozen stores owned by an investment group .................

    Alright then,I stand corrected. I argued with a couple guys (veteran drivers) years ago that told me Cummins rated their horsepower at the flywheel,while rated theirs at the wheel and that was why a 237 could kick a 290 Cummins' ass. I told them no, it was the amount of torque at low RPM that was responsible for that (and superior engineering)! Not to mention the was a better truck! This was some 35 years ago,when I wore a younger man's clothes! I really didn't care,I knew what I was going to buy when the time came around.

    I thought used to rate hp as bhp that meant "Brake Horse Power",while others used the flywheel hp rating . I used to hear it from the naysayers a lot!

    Should still be gold,220. In '78 a chrome bulldog would have meant Thermodyne,Scania, or vendor power. 237 (ENDT-675) + 6 speed=a gold ......

    Last I heard,Roger Hanefeld's yellow B-73 was still around,but looking a little rough. The top 2 in your pics,Bob Brown had a hand in the green one-the blue/white one he had just finished when I visited his yard in early '86. Whoever he sold it to out east,put the Merc. bunk on it.
