  1. There was one of those at N.I. Mack a few years back.Had an awesome panel of switches and valves for all the equipment (as plows do). There was one switch marked "BLAST" next to the auger and spinner control. I thought now there's something to have to get rid of those unruly 4 wheelers tailgating your ass!
  2. No kidding Matt! I've known too many that "slip the clutch" like its a damn Toyota (and I do mean damn Toyota) pick up,WTF!
  3. ........Even a Taco Bell.......for today's trucker (being sarcastic).....
  4. Yeah,Mike,I did miss it! I'll go back in the archives, thanks!
  5. LCL Transit,Green Bay,Wis. ran Macks for years. The reorganized LCL Bulk Transport, still runs Mack. There is a couple of their older R model pictures on Hank's,but I'm not even going to start that round of B.S.! However, recently departed Bill Bedell had taken a nice shot of an early FS/FL that could have been an O/O truck (they had several at one time) painted in their old colors.Enjoy ( OK, I lied!)
  6. You spose that pic the Kansas farmer put up,was that very driver that loaded the RD? That pic of him on the shithouse floor was taken just before he woke up and said"aw shit,I told that feller I would be over to pick up his dump truck a half hour ago"
  7. Staxx, You've got to be kidding us,right? What kind of bonehead would have even thought that RD was light enough for that little trailer? A "steering wheel holder" at it's finest! What a Maroon! I bet he told the shipper,"I'll get it on there, you just stand back and watch me"........ Al
  8. Here's a picture that should never have been taken.......I mean, we couldn't find a to do this job, that day? Blasphemy !! Anyway it is a Hendrickson hauling a so I felt it should be posted. Interesting haul, if anything I guess! I didn't find any switchers this size in my Montville book. Anybody know which model it is? Or was it simply something used by Mack at a plant (hence the Mack lettering). Somebody here will know the answer. Al
  9. R-410 or something isn't it? MoPar 413 under fiberglass!
  10. Oh yeah 84,a on the hood of a brand X truck is flattering. But a under the hood, now that's just plain impressive!
  11. How about Stanley Young's KB 12 with a "Pedigree Powertrain"................
  12. Hamburger down!
  13. Good for you Vision 386 Congrats on the achievement, Mark!
  14. Welcome,Justin............Put yer boots on,it gets a little deep around here!

  16. ......."If the wimmin' don't find ya handsome,at least they'll find ya handy"......................R. Green
  17. This guy's not sleepy............he's always on the lookout.......(Lmackattack's guard dog " ")......keeping an eye on the BCR!
  18. Had a wheel like that on the '79 when I bought it,Jim. My cousin wanted it because he was a "plus" size, and didn't like the black stripe on his shirt everyday! I found an old FS cabover at a boneyard, and bought the,you guessed it,the WHITE steering wheel and installed it in my R!
  19. That kind of "selfie" is prohibited, Yardo!
  20. I like the Cat ad that boasted of a fleets mpg as 5.1! When all this emission crap came hit the industry hard in 2006, fleets were lucky to get that, wiping out all gains in fuel economy that took 30 years to achieve! I like the inspired roof vent on the Safeway IH 4300 and the Cat 3406 "economy" ratings, designed to work with a 6-speed trans. Hmmmm????? The had both of these for years before the other guys!
  21. My cousin Jerry discovered this photo while picking up some parts at Olson Trailer & Body in Green Bay,Wis. He drives for this company currently. His father,a brother, and I worked there also. The company did not have this picture.Olson installed the dump bodies on these B-42's,and were more than happy to reprint the pic for Jerry. In their new office,Bacco Construction had this picture enlarged and placed in the lobby!
  22. Thanks for the info,Jim. I remember some of their older Macks being in TnT magazine a few years later as they were selling them off. Maybe after they closed their doors.
  23. Cool,Mark! Seen some guys over the years that made them out of another visor or something. I think you may have started something! Al
  24. Out of likes,Marcel! But that F Model is cool.......not to mention the places you travelled with it,man!
