  1. Interesting truck for sure,Paul. I was at Ft. Sill in '82.I never seen the truck, though. Was too busy......."LEFT.......LEFT......LEFT RIGHT"! Al
  2. I would venture to say it is a Canadian-Built Superdog. Those were the only ones I remember that had stacks behind the bunk and those load lights on the the bunk are a dead giveaway,eh! Al
  3. Nice truck, blackdog. Just got a new bumper like that for my '88 R. Al
  4. Who needs a lift in their shop, with talent like that? That's the 3rd pic in the last couple of years I have seen where guys have done that. I'm sure there were more but like the drivers, they too were undocumented. Al
  5. The truck on the Overdrive cover was an RS700 and was prior to both the Super-Liner and Value-Liner. Especially in 1970. I want to say the RS/RL 600's didn't become Value-Liner's until the Super-Liner was introduced in late '77 (?). Al
  6. Axle had been in business since like the 40's anyway. Have an old brochure I got from Mr. Stark that showed tandem conversion kits for single axle trucks(maybe where the Axle name comes in?) I know my old boss bought a brand new Galion dump trailer from them in '63,before they built their own. He ordered a new Axle trailer in late '68. From what I understand,Nagel bought the name and everything that went with it. Al
  7. I never heard of them putting one together. Heard there was enough materials to do that with when they bought Axle, but never built one to sell anyway. Might have done some extensive rebuilding of their own trailers ? I know a good friend of mine tried to convince Bruce to build them again, but he didn't sound too interested. Al
  8. Could have been an Axle Equipment post card, mackey! Al
  9. Yes. Hayward. From like1966 to 1981,Mack built the RS/RL,FS/FL,Cruise-Liner,SuperLliner,Value-Liner trucks there. Al
  10. I remember a truck with similar specs being on the cover of American Trucker magazine. I'll have to dìg it up. Al
  11. That IS good,Trent. Al
  12. Man oh man! Glad you're ok,Staxx! Hope you get back on track! Best of luck. Al
  13. Looks too nice to part out,James. Hope he wasn't offended by my "trash can lid" comment ? Al
  14. What,no Michelin man on roof? Vat is he tinking? Al
  15. You suppose 2 out of the 3 of them are outside the truck, just because there wasn't room for all 3 inside the cab? Just sayin'.............Al
  16. Happy Birthday,Les! Take the Super-Liner out for a cruise! Enjoy,Al
  17. Something I remember seeing as a kid Hobert.................Al
  18. Green is my color,so they all look good to me! Was the WS,a former Garrett unit? Nice! Al
  19. Thanks mackey for thinking of me and ranchhopper, but we already have trucks. I was thinking of you for this one! But as AZB755V8 says, sounds like we're all a little bit too late on this one. Al
  20. While checking out ebay the other day, found a speedometer for an '85 Mack. What the '85 Mack it came out of,turned out to be a Magnum Superdog looking pretty much intact. It is at Spalding Truck Parts in Washington state. The pics "pixel out" quickly, so it's hard to get a good look at it. It looks like the aluminum frame rails, may have been the issue for it's present location. Seems a shame to part it out. Lots of good stuff here. Al
  21. At least it has a smile on it's face! It kind of looks like something off of Disney's "Cars" or maybe "MACK-sumum Overdrive"! LOL! Al
  22. A brute, for sure! It would take a lot to tear that one up. Al
  23. Not a fan of simulators since I seen 2 trucks on the side of the road with missing rear wheels(simulator equipped). I agree with the fact, that you can't see your lug nuts when these things are used. Like BillyT says," give me real Daytons or Budds". One of my biggest fears has always been losing a wheel. Al
  24. A friend of mine bought (and has since sold) one of the R models Kreitz had. Doug Maney found it for him. Very straight and original before he put a new dress on it. Al
