  2. The black & red one belonged to the late Bob Thiemer,I believe. I think he was the one who restored it.

  6. That outfit runs a bunch of Cruise-Liners.As seen in this PeterMack photo......
  7. I learned last night a buddy of mine,Bill Bedell had passed away on Wednesday, from a heart attack at 64 years old. Did not know Bill real well, but we did talk from time to time on the photographic posting site, flickr,by e-mail,and I met him in person at a truck show in Richland Center,Wis. last October. Bill had 2680 pictures on his Photostream of trucks, trains, landscapes,Great Lakes ships, etc! He had worked for the Wisconsin D.O.T.. He had bought and operated the 3rd Super-Liner that was delivered by Milwaukee Mack in August of 1979. I had posted pictures that Bill had taken, on this from time to time.he was ever so gracious in letting me do that.He enjoyed knowing that so many people were enjoying his works. A genuine nice guy. I suggest you check out his great truck photograpy on flickr. His great collection represented over 50 years of trucking photography! He had posted on Hank's for awhile, but moved to flickr. I have included this picture of his Super-Liner, in front of Milwaukee Mack. R.I.P. Bill Al
  8. hatcity, There was an ad for Ryder featuring a Cruise-Liner that was on the cover of the BULLDOG in the late '70's. Never did see the commercial itself, but it had to do with abunch of guys, picking up the truck and carrying it while cheering (like the way the players pick up their winning coach). I'll see if I can find that cover and post it. Al

Why,you ask?..........Cause it looks good on paper !!! Just wait 'til these commies tell you that you can't run old trucks anymore. Its happening in Cullyfornia, already! Its only a matter of time, sad to say. Remember, they're from the government, they're here to help.......NOT!! sorry,my .02

That could be, Ron. Couldn't remember if they were made by Signal-Stat or K-D. I know KW used above the headlights on the W900's too. I think they're collectors items now! Al

Ah, ok Mike. Not as rare as I thought. I guess the ones I noticed usually had the bullet or the old style flat housing/amber lens type lights on them. The shock-proof lights were very popular with the fleets, as I recall.
  14. "Hey,who told that Diamond-T he could park here,BULLDOGS only,bud" LOL!! Nice picture,Jake.

Also noticed the K-D (I think) "shock-proof" cab lights. Kind of rare on an F-model. Fleet spec, for sure. And missing about 6 feet of frame rail between the fuel tanks and the front drive axle(for running the west)!
  16. Wastin' no time on that project,Streched Out! Looks good!
  17. Thanks Jim & Ron for posting the info on the Smith "Huskydynes" ! LOL! I had read (then forgotten,go figure!) the story! Jim, I would imagine you couldn't park the mixed breed next to the true Huskies in Cortland! And rightly so,those Brocks deserve their day in the sun for sure!

Those look pretty decent from here, anyway. Must have got "smuggled in" from the east. A rarity to see spokes in Wyoming,I would imagine. Nice find,Jake! I wonder if the Rifleman is keeping watch over them with a loaded Winchester?
  19. I always thought it would be cool to put a 360 or 361 together with a Mack powertrain (at least engine/trans) & put one of each dogs up on that grille shell? I don't know, sacrilegious Ernie or GG2 ?
  20. I hear ya mackmb212. No need to be sorry. Its that intial shock thing, you know? Seems like a chunk of change (which it is) to lay down. But then again,an old "perforated" MB cab will cost you a bunch to fix too! This one looks like its missing the grille, headlight panels, steering column & wheel. I guess you can't have everything! Al
  21. Big 'ol 8V-71 under the hood to boot! Nice rig,for sure!
  22. Nice,Mark! I always liked that cab better than the newer style for some reason. That one of my cousins was sold after that picture was taken in the mid '90's!.Thing was in nice shape. I didn't have the $3500.00 at the time....SHIT!
