  3. Don't think I'll make it this year. Going out to Colorado to see my son, this summer.Going to try to get to Trucktoberfest or Lititz anyway! Have fun guys!!
  4. Good luck, O.D. !
  5. I took and posted that picture a while back,Chuck P. My cousin bought that B-42 in the early '90's. That truck had been redone then worked, but had a large hole in the side of its 401! The rest was in decent shape. He eventually repainted(not with stars & stripes) & put an EN540 in it. It sold at a Richie Bros. auction for what he had in parts. He almost cried.
  6. Good eye there maxidyne 237 on the old 1/2 dog on the door! Before this,I had only noticed them on early RL/RS Macks & MB's!
  7. Speakin' of Chitty jobs,Jim. Took this off a dumpster at Iowa State University, where my youngest daughter goes. Thought it was a fitting name for a garbage outfit!
  8. I didn't do a frame up on the BCR,Weasel. The cab stayed right on the frame during the whole process. The guy replaced the floor and rear cab sill (in and out),and mounts, while supporting the cab with a plate attached to the glad hand mounting pad on both sides. Turned out great and the doors shut real nice! Seen a job that didn't turn out as nice as mine though, too. I went that route because of the first B I started on.Took the cab off & it never made it back on the truck(easier said than done). Just something to think about. My .02!
  9. Welcome, joemac !
  10. Some trucks on another (usually smaller) truck chassis, look like real "hack jobs". This one looks decent.I agree on those metric wheels BAD DOG.The steel wheels UPS is using these days (Accuride,I believe),don't exactly look right to me either. If it works for their owners,I got no problem with that either.
  11. There was probably one of those(alum. container) intact somewhere until the last scrap boom,Paul! Hope I'm wrong, but it could happen!
  12. Yep, the truck did start out with VT903 Cummins as I understand it.But had to change it to an NTC-350 because of troubles (go figure). I believe the current owner said it now has a BC 400 under the hood.
  13. I think you should just donate it to Vinny's College Fund. After all," A young trucker's mind,is a terrible thing to waste" LOL!!
  14. Taken from an early '68 BULLDOG.This dealer might have started the paint scheme that was close to one used on the 300-Series trucks. What do you think?
  15. You have my word on it! LOL!!
  16. 10-4 on the In Tandem!...................................."My brakes are no damn good!!" Will yells as almost wipes out a stalled Dodge van, while feverishly pulling on the johnny bar!
  17. Yuck is right, weasel Take care and get some of that corn in a jar..........it always worked for Granny!!
