  1. Hey weasel, dump trucks only stay clean for so long!
  2. Ha ha,oh yeah Mike.Forgot about Stacks
  3. You can also watch some Movin' On episodes on Hulu. They're in pretty decent shape too.not all scratchy like Mike said.
  4. I don't know Weasel, have you looked in some of the truck cabs lately? I think BJ & the Bear was about the dumbest show ever on T.V. Going from Will & Sonny to that was just a big step backward.
  5. I enjoy this forum also. We have a good bunch of people that seem to get along and help each other out, when ever possible. The icing on the cake is actually getting to meet some of these arslips people at the shows. I have learned a lot on here myself.........hell,yesterday I couldn't spell truck driver, and today I are one! (proud of it, too) Al
  6. Copied this off the back of an early F model brochure (that was a copy from the museum). No date on it but it has to be early '62,I would imagine.Seems that by the time this was printed, the 205hp was upgraded to a blistering 211hp! Get in,shut up,and hold on!! LOL!!
  7. Welome,Ron.............."Just jump in where ya can,and hang on"!! Al
  8. Ahh yes Mark, the V.I.T. 200's! Pete also had the "Freedom Edition" 359 & 352 models.Had the brochure, but gave it to a guy who was still running a 359 with the ORIGINAL paint on it! I figured anybody who takes kind of care of his truck, deserves it! He was very grateful. Al
  9. That was the SC/ Rambler,Ron. For a Kenosha Kadillac, I thought they were cool!
  10. What are you saying,Matt? Maybe a little perfume on the pig? LOL!! Like others have said, you can ask what you want. Depends on just how long you want to sit on it!
  11. What we're doing with these trucks (showing them, parades, etc) is the easiest they've ever had it. I like the reliability and simplicity that was built into these workhorses. I believe strongly in "If ain't broke, don't fix it". Braggin' rights are for the dragstrip (or a certain black Superliner who thinks he's at one !). Don't get me wrong,I like to watch the tests of these trucks pullin' at the county fairs, you just won't see mine out there (not enough ponies) .
  12. Larry, My BCR has an END-673D (200hp stock) with a turbo & oil cooler put on it from the original owner. With the compression ratio of 15.81:1,it should be like 225hp.The fuel is turned up a notch and now has a 237's turbo on it.Bobtail I'm in the 9-10 mpg range.Pulling my little lowboy I lose 1-1.5 mpg. She leaves a slight trail of black smoke nearly all the time. If it did not have a turbo on it when I bought it,I probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble, especially if it was already running good. My next B (when I get to it) will have an END-673 (n/a) in it. Al
  13. .....HHHHMMMMM? Maybe the extra 7hp,was with the "hop-up" kit! I always heard they ran good. Not so with the 711. But then again, thats hearsay.I don't own either one of those motors.
  14. Don't know how accurate it is but there is a picture in the ICOGNOGRAFIX 1st B model archive book that shows a water cooled Schwitzer turbo in a '55 B-753LS.
  15. Or maybe the only one at that time.Other FD's probably jumped on the bandwagon after that (hopefully)!
  16. Gabor Trucking out of Detroit Lakes,Minn. also had some nice RS 600's (later Value-Liners) with Mercury sleepers. They too, were sharp looking.
  17. Never knew of him,Bob. Sounds like our kind of people, though. Sad to see our heroes go. At least you have a bunch of good memories listening to him. Sorry. Al
  18. The END673P was 187hp,wasn't it? I think the early ENDT 673 was 205hp.
  19. .................."Hey,do you mind.......I'm tryin' to get a little shut-eye back here"........
  20. Nice work,220! They took it to the right guy!
  21. A little "dog tracking" going on,Vinny?
  22. Nice pics,Brian. When MEYER bought out the BRADY Group, they inherited a bunch of different mixers. There was a few that were the same, but they had many different configurations.MEYER seemed to always spec the spread axles, while most of BRADY's were the closed tandems. The spread axles allowed for 36,000lbs.,while the closed stayed at 34,000lbs, in Illinois.
  23. I see it now,Joe D.! Yeah,711 not 673C,5 (?) X 4 (Spicer) not TRQ,Budds not spokes.......AH FOGETABOUTIT!!
