  1. Way to go Greg. Not all show trucks have a red oval on them. Al
  2. I agree,James. If that's the worst thing about that R model, get out the tools! Al
  3. Not a fan of the "trash can lids" myself. To each his own,I guess. Just not on mine! Al
  4. Welcome Richard! You've come to the right place! Al
  5. Yes I do mackey. They were on a BULLDOG magazine cover with a gold/white R model in the '70's . They later had some Cruise-Liners too. A driver that worked where I did in '79,would run lowboy for us during the construction season, then run for Artim during the winter. Al
  6. Again, nice pics Jim. I have plans of doing the same bumper/push plate as the red one, on my '88. Al
  7. Have friends that use ATF in a garden sprayer. Like hatcity says,"you'll have plenty of drippings". These guys park on the gravel for a few days, before going back on the concrete. Have to do that myself. Picked up a '09 Tahoe that was from New Mexico. Here comes winter and all its corrosive chemicals. Great! Al
  8. Is that crossover pipe (intake side) an original? Just asking,I guess I have never really seen the engine room on an H-67 that is turbocharged before. Thanks for posting the pictures. Always liked the H's,also. Al
  9. Does anybody know, was that dry air cleaner (on the B), a factory option or a retrofit? I have seen a couple, but that's all. Al
  10. Celli Trucking Co (Chicago area) ran several R773's. None exist today (as far as I know). Pal's Cartage,Gretna,Edmier, and several other Chicago based outfits ran them back in the day. Like Superdog said, the low serial number and the fact that it looks pretty much intact is reason for saving that truck. True it may not be the most desirable R-700 in existence, but certainly one of the most rarest of the breed anymore (next to Mikes 903 powered R-700). As for the "who wants one"banter, you sound like a modern day truck salesman! Al Rhino...............Good Day!
  11. The can was originally built for Coca-Cola to advertise their Full Throttle energy drink. I found it on Manders Diesel's website. I told my buddy Dave that he really needed this, and low and behold he and Manders agreed on a price. He then had some work done to the "can" itself before having it wrapped with the label of his favorite beverage. It's a big hit at all the local shows. Al
  12. Different. Almost like when the CH was introduced.........some 28 years ago already! Al
  13. I think it was already done, Trent. She smokes like a freight train! Al
  14. Thanks,Keith. Technology wasn't the big problem as was the $$$$! Had to buy the stack (186.00),the internal muffler (122.00),a 45° elbow and 5"-4" reducer and other misc. supplies another $100.00 or so. The original muffler/exhaust system was so rotted,I had no choice. Really happy with the results. Has a quiet, deep tone to it. It would be perfect for the limited space application's, like on a dump truck. A lot less bulk, without the need for setting the box further back. Could have used this setup on my RD. Got the stack and internal muffler from 4 State Trucks. Al
  15. That is the world's largest Old Style (brand name) Beer can on wheels,Jim. Owned by a good friend of mine. He likes to pull it with his '61 B-61. Al
  16. Added a 5" X 6' stack with a Dynaflex internal muffler for that clean look. Pretty darn quiet too. A buddy found the guard at a garage sale for $10.00! It's O E M MACK (take off, looks like Pinnacle) All
  17. One of those sat out at Maggio's in Rockford for years. Don't know what ever happened to it. It was rough from just being left outside for a long time. Always wondered "why a 903 ?". But after learning how many 903's the government had in operation at the time,It answered my question! Al
  18. That's a beauty,Jim. Said it once,I'll say it again,I just wish they would have galvanized F model cabs! Al
  19. That is the thing that made me think it was the same truck,Jim. The 1st pic has a tail on it too. Unless it's a coincidence,I don't know? Al
  20. Yet another picture of the same truck ends up on ebay! Al
  21. A survivor. Nice. Al
  22. Sorry James. Missed your question by only a couple of years! McHenry Ready-Mix (later Enterprise Ready Mix) was gobbled up by MEYER in 1988. Some of the trucks still wore the green/yellow dress for a few years after the buyout. Al
  23. Nice looking MH,underdog .West has been around for a while, hasn't it? Al
  24. Probably from PAI anyway,Bill. Genuine - I don't know. Al
