  1. Looks like the guy in the bibs,is wondering the same thing,Mark! I think that's current ATHS president,John Vanetta's truck.......................Al Really like that A model........Sharp!
  2. It's on YouTube too,Jake! "60's Mack B model diesel pulling out-ATHS May 2009" .................Al
  3. Yep,there was one just like that parked behind Northern Illinois Mack about 10-12 years ago.I had forgot all about! HMMMM?? Now you got me wonderin'
  4. Vinny's goin' to want it!
  5. Yep, that used to be Slider's truck,Now it belongs to Dan Kennett Excavating of Woodstock.
  6. As I remember,it was a BCR on the chassis of a B-81 (PeterMack&2stacksuperdog-good eyes) & hood side panels off an steel hood RD with tastefully shop-built fenders.I think Todd Steffenhagen was chief engineer/builder on this project.
  7. OH NO! Say isn't so!
  8. Welcome Dan.Nice Binder! Day cabs of that model are rare from what I've seen.
  9. That Value-Liner might be Randy Powell from Powell's Sand & Gravel of Big Foot.Been awhile since I've seen it.
  10. Nice truck,Marcel! She's a beauty,fer sure!
  11. Thanks,Scott!
  12. Yeah,I think the bulk of them were like you said Mike, dumps & roll offs.Heavy duty chassis. I didn't even consider one for my application.I didn't like the shorter wheelbase (= shorter bridge-less gross weight/payload) for the same empty weight as my RD.No brainer. But some salesmen sold a few RB chassis around here.
  13. I think Dan Lodesky Trucking of Gurnee,Il. started the RB tractor "trend" in this area. His right-hand man,the late, great Elmer VanHaake,"shaved" hundreds if not thousands of pounds off of the stock R model by going to the RB lightweight spec tractor. After having success with his specs,N.I. Mack was selling bunches of those RB's.Many are still earning their owners some money,as you can see.
  14. Nice pictures there,Vinman!
  15. Top shelf,Scott! NICE!
  16. That black one looks to be at the entry way into the Macungie plant (before Vinny stole the sign, and forced them to put the new logo one up)
  17. I had always thought about doing that, Mark.I am a round headlight guy myself! LOL! I think PennDot had ordered a boatload of slope-nosed RD's with round headlights in 'em a few years back.
  18. Their B was in the Mack Museum during the Macungie show.It was parked next to Heavy Hauler's Proctor B-81.
  19. Not a fan of wedge brakes at all,either.................YUCK! Al
