  1. The B-57's were setup like a B-53 chassis,only a shorter BBC.The B-53 used a Rockwell front axle which used a different hub,as I imagine the B-57 used also.

  7. Notice the way these 700's sat up high, just like the RS/RL 700's.I think they built this style until '83.If I remember right, Ryder and Roadway also ran Cummins powered R-700's like this.I heard through the grapevine,Storkmack has added one to his collection.Any truth to this,Brad?

  12. Wow! New one on me,Mark! I had no idea they had painted them like that from the factory.I did pull a grey (maybe faded white) steering wheel off of a '55 B-60 my cousin and I cut up for parts.,but that interior was the traditional green metallic. Al
  13. R model didn't get a tan dash until mid-73.
  14. I used to drive that truck around the yard at Bacco Constuction Co. in Iron Mountain,Mich. after graduating high school in '79,Mark.I used to service it then put it back on line with the rest of the trucks. It was fun for me because you could really get it rolling with those 3 speed eaton rears.........bang,bang,bang..shift..bang,bang,bang!!!
  15. My cousin had a 361-238 Detriot,5 speed Fuller-3 speed Eaton tandems on Neway Air.Was a real sweatheart.Should have bought the thing when he sold it for $3500.00 in the late '90's. Here is a pic when it was new in '72..................... Bill Bedell Photo
