  1. Ouch, sorry to hear that! I've had nothing but good dealings with them. Not saying everyone has,I guess.
  2. Mark, I was sent by the Department of Agriculture to test the firmness of melons in the Austin,Texas area.I wasn't quite sure about the rest of them in this particular establishment,so I am going to make a return trip! I will let you know when the next "field trip" is! Everyone here said I should have taken that fish off of my head(?).What in the hell were they looking at? Al
  3. I'm not extremely fond of all "duded" up BULLDOGS,but it doesn't look any worse than an International Lone Star (yuck)
  4. Looks good! I'll watch for you on Rt. 31(Algonquin),north of Virginia Rd.,I'll be running around in circles with my 40 ton Deere (east side of the road-Meyer Mat'l)
  5. James, were they B-63's? There was a picture of a lineup of B models taken in front of a stone pile at Algonquin (Yd. 5). I just thought they were B-61's.Guess I never really thought about it.I go back to work on Monday,I am going to ask around the whereabouts of that picture.Interesting!!
  6. They sell used trucks, new Mitsubishi/Fuso trucks. They did sell new Mid-Liners, when that line was available.Eugene tried for many years to open a full dealership, but territories prevented him from doing so.Mack had a factory branch nearby that they closed in '81.He wanted to replace it with a dealership of his own,but said no way, they already had dealers in the area(closest was 25 miles to the north). He does a good Genuine parts & service business, though!
  7. Its probably on its way to Morning Sun,Ia.!!
  8. Couldn't get there this year.Had "business" in Round Rock,Texas! Sorry, didn't miss the trucks at all!!
  9. I use Continental Western (Tri-State) out of Minn.Very reasonable.

  21. Nice trucks,Mike! Interesting powertrain in the CH.Wonder if its an EM-6 or 7? Either way,it's TOUGH! I remember Weyerhauser had a similiar green on their R's,but that one looks metallic.Nice!
  22. James, Eugene's son Carlo (named after his grandfather) runs Celli Truck Center with his father.I don't know the size of the Palumbo fleet.I would say that Celli and their spin-off companies, would have out numbered them, back in the day.Not so anymore, though. As storkmack said, there is still a few Celli (now Cement Transport Co.) RB's out there.
