Head bolt torque-225 ft/lbs Main bearing torque(12 point)-350 ft/lbs Also says "main bearing buttress screw"-100 ft/lbs& "mainbearing buttress screw cover screw" (long & short)-80 ft/lbs. Big end bolt ? (Could you specify) Hope this helps.

  8. I would love to see some of the guys I work with, shift a duplex or even the 6 speed trans' shown in our off-road trucks, today! Still wish they'd get me one!
  9. That '76 looks like an Adams Transit truck,Did you get it right from Del,Mike?
  10. All I can say is WOW! I had thought maybe the guy from E. St. Louis,Ill.,that used to advertise in OVERDRIVE did the interior. Very cool footage.Nice that the guy thought of filming it for all us to see 40 years later! Thanks 2stack for posting it!
  11. The old-timers used to call 'em Bi-Focal Internationals (fits)! There was a story in WOT awhile back, where Dallas Daggett (Daggett Truck Lines) said when they hooked one up to a van trailer,it looked like a "loaf of bread pushing an ant"!
  12. And the B-21 (I think) firetruck had the Hall-Scott also,Rick! Al
  13. I seen a different grab handle that was on the early DMM's,too. Here's a shot of one on a Vinny U model as seen at Gerhart's last fall.
  14. Seems to me there was alot of R-700's around here with 8V-71's in 'em,also.Celli Trucking Co. was one outfit that had some.
  15. And the unions are to blame for the failures in our manufacturing, transportation, construction, service industries..........BULLSHIT!!
  16. Page 175 in the newer edition anyway,Matt. Its just a short version of the story.I do have another more in depth write up on it,must be in a BULLDOG magazine or something.
  17. Chicago area R model of the day goes to: Manning Concrete..I don't know, this poor RB looks neglected. How can they beat up a fairly late model truck like that? Hell, its not even in Nigeria(yet)!.....Maybe its looking forward to the boat ride?
  18. (all out of likes,Ben) Al
