  1. It would make it on a lowboy for sure.
  2. I got the wrong idea I guess the torque numbers sent me right to an E7. The 2v 350 was substantially lower on torque but should fit and with a hobby application I doubt the intercooler would be a necessity just watch the egt's. The tip turbine setup should fit in a b with some help mainly piping. An air to water aftercooler might work ok also again on a hobby truck. Seems I remember seeing a yellow B model at mid America several years back with an ETECH in it, although it was non intercooled and modified to fit, looked neat though.
  3. Um again I say, if you don't want it copied and then pasted........big secret.....don't put it on the internet. I mean when I put pics of me in my gf's thong on here I knew what would happen!

    Kids today

Ha, I remember the first cell phone in our family it was about the size of a briefcase. The first hand held cell was that giant Motorola that weighed about 5 lbs. I had a pager till I was 21 then I got a fancy Nokia cell phone that lasted about 4 hours on a charge and had enough memory for 50 numbers as I recall. Oh and it had 1 ringtone, that's it. I remember pay phones and atlas's well I still don't trust a GPS I was taught the old way, before you leave use the atlas and plan your route. I remember playing pong on my Atari too, we got a Nintendo and thought duck hunt was the best thing ever made, now the games on my phone confuse me what happened to having 4 buttons and a directional?
  5. If you use all the parts its over engineered, use half it'll work fine they purposely over do these things.
  6. Um that's a new one on me, I can't say I remember seeing that line on my 84.
  7. Disconnect the cable from the clutch arm and pedal and operate it by hand, there should be some resistance but not much if you can move it by hand its ok. Make sure the clutch fork bushings and throwout bearing are greased and moving freely. Remove the inspection plate when you grease the throwout bearing and make sure the tube isn't cut and grease makes it to the bearing. What kind of clutch did you put in it? My 04 had a stiff clutch too, but i didn't use it unless I was taking off.
  8. How many times has this come up in the last few months, we may need to send out a group email of the schematic.
  9. An 03 ETECH doesn't have an injection pump aneroid valve it runs unit pumps from the ecm and high pressure fuel rail.
  10. Leaking oil at which connection point? By my count there are 6 on a turbo, exhaust in, out, intake air in, out and oil in, out. So where is the turbo leaking oil? Why are you running it with no oil pressure? You can take a cheap gauge from auto zone and screw the sender into the head or block and check it to make sure the factory gauge or sender aren't bad. If you have oil coming out of any of the air connections yes it will cause smoke.
  11. Its probably bent valves or push rods, probably ran it hard and the seats popped out and bent the valves or push rods. That is the major E9 flaw, if you rebuild the heads let Dale Francis push the seats in harder than stock. I know there are a few on here that can vouch for Dale Francis's work on E9's.
  12. Good info on the building and the possible stack cutouts, Belmore made those rock chip guards for under the headlights of a Superliner. They said they fit 78-93 but most of us know that's not true just 85 up unless you trim em down bout 3/4".
  13. Shouldn't be air assist on an 05, might be a bent cable, best guess is lack of grease on the clutch fork and a heavy aftermarket clutch.
  14. What was wrong with the rest of it I need some heads and valve covers, intakes, front cover, pump, pretty much whatever E9 parts you got I'll ponder on. I'll take an old power assy. Piston/rod/sleeve for my desk even.
  15. Nope a 350 would be an E6 or E7, E7 to get that torque. E7 is a 12 liter 728ci 6 cyl, very dependable engine but it won't fit where a 673 does.
  16. Why you got one for sale?
  17. Ha and I thought I had too much time on my hands!
  18. Well these are getting sprayed Mack Power Gray, or Aluminum if they were galvanized.
  19. Wait it wasnt Archie Bunker it was Ralph from the the Honeymooners "One of these days Alice, Bang-Zoom straight to the moon" Its been a while since I have sen either I got em mixed up.
  20. Did isn't the whole issue, the govt is too big and has dug it's hands too far into everything it can its now too difficult for a lot of companies to make money. Sooner or later (sooner) it will all come crashing down and then when there are another 10 million out of work and starving, will the govt still be writing checks? That's about 5 million in income tax revenue gone, 450 million in corporate taxes gone, more people than ever on government assistance or unemployment. I don't know sure don't look good in the next 3-5 years, they can keep sending out checks but there isn't anything to back the checks now its all debt. Can anyone safely say they can provide for their family for 5 years without income of any kind? I can't do it for myself let alone a family. When the money that has been spent catches up to the money they have left it will outweigh that amount several times over and when the grocery stores don't get paid for all those WIC voucher sales they will go out of business adding more to the ranks of unemployed govt dependant Americans. At what point does it all fall apart, we have been running with a growing debt for so long nobody remembers a time when we were debt free, how long till the rest of the world says no more. I just wonder, when we are starving in the streets hungry and cold will the rest of the world go into debt to send us aid in their C-17 and C-5 transports? What's that you say nobody has a C-5 and no other country in the world hands out aid like we do? Huh wonder what it will take to learn this lesson and I wonder how many of us will live thru it, no I HOPE most of us live thru it. I'm sorry for the rant but it's time to realize we are at the brink of something unprecedented in the history of the world, the closest thing in our time was the collapse of the USSR and yes it CAN happen to anyone once you get so complacent you can't see the forest for the trees.
  21. You know Archie bunker may have hit Alice so hard her earrings made it to mars!
  22. Think about it like this, new steers will run $600-$1000 depending on what you get, caps will run $400-700 depending. Now picture blowing a steer tire, if you keep it on the road you'll still need another tire, hood, headlight, bumper, mudflap, battery box maybe even a fuel tank. Now is it worth it?
  23. Our boy is growing up, I'm so happy! LOL! Happy birthday Vinny don't get too crazy tonight
  24. Ok I'm gonna go back factory with my intake pipes, however I can't find one picture in all my crap to tell me what color the steel charge air pipes on an 85 RW with an E9 need to be. Help!
  25. I do not like caps but I'm going to recap my drive tires on the rw since they are all matching cases with no defects and I don't use it commercially. Here in TN you won't pass a DOT with a cap on a steer, and I have heard of a truck getting shut down in Manchester for caps on the steer. I would never do it period, its not that much more money to get a set of Roadmaster RM 180 steer tires they aren't the best but they'll work and last a long time on a hobby truck.
