  1. Sounds odd to me can't think of any overnight issues off the top of my head.......unless he pissed of a yard gnome them things are mean.
  2. Yep, I was one of those DOD contractors a while back I have some friends that are looking for other jobs now before they get dropped.
  3. HA,HA,HA, did anyone else notice the cutouts in the area above the "shop" door for the stacks? that is awesome, I have wondered about one of those things for me till I have money to build a real shop, now I know how to do it! I think that is great, some american ingeneuity comes to the rescue.
  4. Ha, now he gets to pay dues like me, only he may get something for em, I dont.
  5. You should send Cat a pic and tell em you need info on proper labelling and they can get pics for their use if they help ya out, someone round here did an old Cat crawler and they got him the paint and decals for it then when he was done they came and took pics for some of their literature.
  6. Im gonna say it went over, ive seen several that never scratched the tanks or wheels, heck I saw one dump truck that didnt hurt the hood or exhaust just got the very top right cocrner of the cab and killed the dump bed.
  7. Naa, whichever rear corner has the least resistance will spin first when unlocked.
  8. That sucks, not just a superliner but a dual exhaust, dual breather, E9, 12spd truck too! I would have been tickled with that one even on spokes, makes it look hard core.
  9. He's talking budget, I bet there are some govt entities that have a smaller budget than his vacations.
  10. Thanks, some clubs/ organizations have rules about that stuff and if I'm driving over 800 miles I'm gonna know ahead of time. I already have to go the long way thru KY since MD is a no no state for guns.
  11. 2000 great Dane will be spring brake, Bendix valves? Could be meritor but I doubt it, like babymack said might be the abs valve or control module, is the abs light on on the trailer? Also have you greased and adjusted em lately, if they get dry they go slow right up till they get stuck and you have to replace cam bushings.
  12. No its expensive as hell and all our gradalls are electronically controlled rexroth valving, not real easy to diagnose.
  13. What budget? Just spending whatever whenever isn't a budget.
  14. Has anyone else ever listened to or read this crap coming out of d.c. and been reminded of Metallica's King Nothing? Go read the lyrics and tell me it doesn't fit I dare ya!
  15. Oilgear was the pump issue with us we got a bunch of rexroth replacement stuff, not sure about some of those rexroth valves they look a little sketchy to me.
  16. Yeah, in a train it decreases stopping distance by a few hundred feet depending on speed and weight and application time by 20-40 seconds at the rear of a 7500'+ train. Another big plus is they eliminate broken knuckles due to slack action when braking, which eliminates stopping in emergency on the mainline holding up traffic.
  17. We had a bunch of gear pump failures about a year ago, basically you opened the case and drained the metallic oil sludge, no real parts to speak of left just little metal flakes.
  18. What's the issue, I've removed hydraulic pumps in 3-4 pieces from rr equipment.
  19. WOW! I just realized how far off subject we went here, oops!
  20. Yep still a triple valve, it was a loose reference about the charging system. The newer electronic train brakes NS, Amtrak and others are testing have a steady 90psi trainline and an electrical connection on each loco and car. The whole train has to be equipped the same, an electronically controlled brake valve that is actuated by an electrical signal from the locomotive thru the train. I don't think it will catch on since older cars don't work with the system, it would be cost prohibitive to run only certain cars in certain trains, NS actually ordered whole unit coal trains with the system to try it out.
  21. I really should not have watched that video, Im madder than I was before, not good!!!!!!!!!! What happened to the constitution? What happened to Probable cause? what happened to the rights granted byt the second amendment? This is not a good time for our country.
  22. I guess Ill have to play an innocent bystander in town when they go flying by and cover me with dust! Damn I just got my truck washed too! I could always play the hapless truck driver coming thru town that ends up getting robbed by Staxx, and the Duke boys come to the rescue!
  23. Ron, I would actually love to talk old trucks with you, it seems you are a wealth of info and thats how I learned wht I know now is listening to those smarter than me, or those that have just been there and done that!
  24. Nope, not you Ron, I like to make sure Im legal before I go somewhere, I have carried legally for 13 years now and since TN permits are reciprocal with most states Im ok most of the time but you never know. I know PA is reciprocal and from what I can find online, legal carry in Magungie parks is allowed but some groups frown on it and if my second amendment rights are infringed I dont participate. I wont go to Outback restaurant anymore since they posted no weapons, theres actually a list on TGO.com of carry prohibited locations that most of the TGO members will not do any business with. Im just funny like that, I have some things I just wont bend on and the constitution is one of them, thats why Im all for buying from Watts Mack they actually sell Gun lubes, I bought a set last time I made an order and if I need other Mack parts Ill see if I can order from them first, and my local dealer second since they are not posted but I have been questioned while there by management (Bill, Staxx) why I need to carry. I actually wont go to any events in my hometown parks because of their no guns in parks rule, having a sign at the entrance to a park that says no guns allowed means two different things, to the legal gun owner it means I have to take my gun home first, to the theif it means I wont get shot here if I rob someone! Thats the part aout gun control liberals in Washington just dont get, more gun laws just means law abiding gun owners cant defend themselves from the theives that are already commiting a crime so why would they care if they use a stole gun in a robbery!
  25. Ha, I pushed that old Heil dump trailer back one day and it went about 50yds down into the back yard, with neighbors watching it was pretty embarassing!
