  1. On another note the blonde is now my wallpaper on the desktop!
  2. OK Im not doing that anymore I have tried to keep from the extremely risque pics until now so now I go back to fully clothed pics from now on. I leave the rest to OD!
  3. like i said give it time! Ill trade my Superliner today for the blonde with the old Russian military truck!
  4. here ya go OD, and all the rest, dont go over your data allowance looking at this site.....http://stacksncracks.com/
  5. MMMMMMMMMMMM....... I do love them Urkrainian chicks
  6. I think my buddy Davids truck is on this pic somewhere..........
  7. GIVE HIM A COUPLE MORE YEARS! I didnt give a rats ass about a truck for a few years there, hell depending on the view I dont care now!
  8. Thats why you get the "Camelback Hop" in tight corners with an empty truck, the speed differential from the front inside to the rear outside is enough to make it start to lock, it "thinks" your spinning because of the difference in speed, thats why it happens more turning left than right, power goes to left front and right rear first when locked due to driveline torque.
  9. I have an idea just need to do some measuring, well see how it "measures up", I used to have a 4B cummins and an S10 I was gonna play with and ended up selling both before I got the energy up for that one. Ill just say this idea has a heavier than pickup truck axle and leave it at that. Staxx is Mikes motor still on the stand down at Mack?
  10. Freightrain, Baby Mack is correct on the air over air trailers brakes only work with air in the trailer reservoir, once the trailer tanks leak off the brakes are gone till you charge the system again. As you charge the system the brakes first set then release it takes longer for them to release to move the trailer than a spring brake trailer that t's and both charges the tank and releases the spring brakes since you have to charge the tank first to release the park brakes. The valves are a pain as they get older and I actually had a to wait a week to get one for an old Heil dump trailer I had a few years back everyone was out of stock. Freightrain the air over air brakes actually work very similarly to your namesake (freight train) brakes, on a train you have one train line that goes from the fron to the bak it charges the tanks on all cars in the train to 90psi then holds 90, as you make a brake set in the locomotive you are actually releasing air from the trainline and the pressure drop allows air from the reservoir on the cars to route to the brake chamber and set the brakes, the more you release the harder the set. If you have ever heard a locomotive set the brakes it lets air bleed off thru a valve under the engineers side of the cab, bad thing about train brakes once you drop the trainline too far by using the brakes too much you lose your brakes until you re charge the trainline releasing the brakes till you get back to 90psi. This has caused several runaways on hills over the years out west, the engineer makes a brake set, then another, then another not paying attention to his air usage and runs the train out, then all you have is locomotive brakes and dynamic brakes, which is a whole nother monster (I work for CSX, roadway equipment mechanic).
  11. Doug I got a quick question for ya, I have a TN handgun carry permit and PA honors such, what about the atca or the show grounds are they any restrictions for carry permit holders?
  12. To better answer your question its the other way around, relay on air, not on spring.
  13. They didn't use a relay valve on any of my old trailers with spring brakes and I can't remember any of the trailers at Howard baer having them either, on air over air all the ones i have dealt with have the same valve.
  14. Damn prices went down a little a 1909 -1982 penny is worth about 2.4-3 cents right now they were higher last year when I took a batch in, I think I got 5 cents each it adds up fast for sure, then there are the early quarters and nickles too but you don't see many. I just hauled off me pickle jar of change last month I normally put it all in then go back for quarters as needed so it was light on them but it counted at $327 so it was ok.
  15. Definitely get the old copper pennies out, they are worth a lot more, like several times over look it up in a Google search.
  16. Is this a spring brake trailer or an air over air? (Spring parking brakes or no) there is a different valve on an air over air brake system that will activate slowly when they get crusty inside. When were the brakes greased last? I know I'll catch hell for that one but I have this issue constantly with our backhoe trailers and 9 out of 10 times we can grease it and fix the issue the other 1 its the brake valve on am air over air. An air over air(no spring brake) will be slower to activate than a spring brake trailer due to relay valving on spring brakes it normally direct activation on a trailer.
  17. Trtxl 1070 or 1070b? How much?
  18. Autocar was a name on someone elses sheet metal and frame, there were very few actual Autocar cabs out here fora short time, Autocars, were normally built for heavy work and could be built well for the job but Mack was all Mack from the front to the back, one place to go for service, one place to go for parts, one name on all the boxes, and its hard to beat an older all Mack chassis in heavy work.
  19. Ha not a LUV but I may have a LUV diesel soon I am waiting on a friend to bring it over here when he moves, might just use the engine transs for another project the body is scrap right now but it runs. I cannot divulge the project I have in mind right now I have to get a few other things together to see if its possible but Ill keep you all posted if I get to work.
  20. Different is good, OD is different, perhaps even "special" and were ok with him!
  21. I'm looking for engine dimensions for the early Mack diesels End or Endt 6-whatever, length, width, height, weight, you know basic project research info. I have a crazy idea involving an old Chevy!
  22. Automatics have come a long way, almost 90% of refuse, concrete trucks, municipal trucks and buses are Allison automatics. I remember the first one we had in a bus it was a pos but now with a 3000series 5 spd they last the entire 15 year life of a 90 passenger 40' long school bus here, as long as you do the required maintenance that is. I know we change the external spin on trans filter every service and change the fluid and internal filters every other year and have 0 issues with MT643's and pts3000 series, the2500's are touchy they don't like that much weight (90 pass blue bird is around 34000 loaded). I am still not extremely impressed with the Mack/Volvo auto, the single countershaft is a fairly weak design and from what Staxx has told me when one thing goes the whole this is a boat anchor. I like the features of the M drive and the gear ratio steps are great with a low rpm high torque rise engine, I just think for longevity's sake I would stick with a manual OTR. That's also the reason I don't think an M drive will hold up to a heavy application like a dump truck, look at the internals compared to a T310 or 8LL its just not as strong. I was completely against automatics for years but the last few years have proved me wrong they are the way to go for an on/off road application and if those that always seem to have issues weren't beating them to death and running them to failure before doing maintenance they would last for them too. I have learned a lot watching the trucking industry in the last 10 years, lots has changed and if you are willing to try the new things most of the time they work out. The Industry spends millions in r&d for these products give em a shot, do your own research and go in with an open mind and you may be surprised what happens, I was Ok off my soapbox for a while!
  23. Rl700l wouldn't that be an aluminum frame truck? Looks like a nice one, I paid more for my truck it'd probably worth it they're getting scarce hopefully someone will get it back on the road before it goes too far or gets scrapped.
