  2. The Army had a few CL heavy haul trucks, the NG had two here in Smyrna and Nashville TN they had 2 DM800's too the DM800s were white with black fenders and E9 500's the CL's are black have Cummins Signature 600's with 18spd underdrive trans and all were on 12R24 tires they pulled fontaine tri axle lowboys with tandem axle geeps front and rear they used them to move tanks, the DM800's got shipped off the CL's are still here. I found a pic of one of the DM800's but I cant find any of the Cl's I know I have em Ill keep looking I had one with an abrams behind the CL on the interstate

    funny pic

OK, OK, now keep it down there driver, you all know that "truck driving schools" and thats loosly quoted dont teach you how to drive a truck, they teach you how to pass a test and thats it, the rest is up to you.
  7. Yeah one of those hoses need to go to tank not back to the same manifold.
  8. should be a tru flow 501 on the E9 truck, they get old and pump slow when the rings get worn down, its easiest to just replace the compressor than to try to rebuild it.
  9. Hmm so which one do you get your "special" present from, your wife or your doctor? happy b day
  10. Yeah theres an MH sitting in the weeds dont let him hold out on you, I have been trying to get him to take me to it for months.
  11. http://www.discountramps.com/step-deck-load-leveler-ramps.htm look at the 18" wide 2 bunk kit 4th down it is the one I would be after you get your ramps and load levelers all in one.
  12. you wont be able to pick up the home built steel ramps, I have a set for a car trailer here that are wayyy to heavy but the longer ramps seemed like a great idea at the time, I second the Discount Ramps financing idea I have had to do things like that before and you will be a lot better off in the long run for sure I would go with the 4 piece 16' set with the pedestals for the center theyt double as load levelers and if you are loading a tractor or anything short or good clearance you can just use two.
  13. No comment!
  14. And you "play" it well im sure! Lol!
  15. Staxx, Class? why would he teach or something, I think the engineers call him form the factory to get the trucks running!
  16. How bout a Duramax diesel, they make tons of power when done right........
  17. Discount ramps used to make some for another company to sell under their name and they marked them up about 20% but they were identical, they have the best prices I have seen anywhere and they make a quality product just make sure you get enough ramp dont buy a 5000lb ramp for a 10000lb job aluminum doesnt bend like steel it just breaks especially in winter.
  18. its got plenty of gear if they moved the fifth wheel up and stopped actin like fools it would drive just fine, some people do stupid things to make interesting videos and dont care what they break in the process. I am willing to bet that that truck has enough gear to take your foot off of the clutch and start that thing moving loaded without touching the throttle, but it doesnt make the front end go that high, if you pay atttention its barely creeping and at idle in one part of the video with the front end in the air looks to be in gear you can see it lurch up. You can do the same thing in a dump truck if you dont know how to spread rock or just like to play.
  19. CONGRATULATIONS to STAXX on winning technician of the year at Mack of Nashville........again, I don't think anybody else has won since he started there.
  20. oh shit moment, I was making a turn in Nashville traffic from one high traffic road to another I was going straight towards traffic across the intersection.
  21. Take a picture of the fittings the hoses connect to on the engine and post it here please, if you are getting water to the core but it won't flow back to the engine there is something closed or blocking I doubt its making pressure and stopping it, you would have a pressurized coolant tank and lots of stuff coming from the crankcase vent tube.
  22. now you know that the US paid for those trucks, sent them to TN to get wrecker bodies then gave them to IQ when I was there they had internationals and we were supposed to get international maxxpro mrap wreckers, thy never came they went to Afghanistan instead so we were stuck with the old shit.
  23. Is this a sleeper truck? If so the lines may be run in series and the sleeper control valve could cause this issue.
  24. Thats what it looked like to me too, reminds me of the Granite and the program we finally got in it, I guess I got that program! It sure ran good for a 427, I could out pull a C-15 cat 475 and every Mack around here.
  25. I think I put in one of my other posts to check the quick release valves right? Im too lazy to go back and look, check the QR valves to make sure your brakes arent hanging and check to make sure the application pressure reaches all the chambers(take the service lines off the brake chambers and make sure there is equal air flow to all the chambers. I have actually seen a line that was pinched in a frame behind another piece that was replaced that caused one brake to act a fool. I think other than that the hub bearings are the next big thing have you checked the torque on all the hub nuts to ensure they are equal? spun them in the air by hand to make sure none of them are tighter than the others?
