  2. Did those "greens" come by the dime bag, or the kilo? lol
  3. So how many RW's does this make Superdog?
  4. Did anybody else notice the GMC General with the pipe hanging out the side of the hood in post #27, looks like an air scoop on top of the hood too!
  5. Vinny when in doubt just look under the front fender, if you see ehxaust manifolds hanging out over the frame its an E9, nice looking truck thanks for the pic.
  6. Depends on when you went to school, looks like were about a generation off, lol!
  7. Thats a low blow man!
  8. You will never be the same again till you get yours to the drag strip now.
  9. I would be interested in it if the rears are what I'm looking for, gear ratio? Mack? Pm please, thanks.
  10. They are around $40 a pair depends on length I got two sets of each so I had em here you never know what I might buy. I did notice the shipping is almost as much as the flaps, I about choked but I wanted em I knew they would look good and they are good 1/2" thick rubber flaps not those cheap plastic ones.
  11. Well good luck, I hate to say it but jacking it up and running the tires at speed won't show you anything, the tires will wobble all over the place and bounce like crazy in the air the only was to run one at speed like that is on rollers like a dyno.
  12. I will for a while Im broke! All I want to do is stretch it out a little to get some room between the sleeper and trailer and other than that it will look pretty much the same, I might pull the horns off the roof and add a few cab lights I always liked that look and I havent seen an R like it yet.Cab lights like I did to this Granite.....
  13. On the AMBAC V pump you take the 6 bolts out of the top of the governor cover and the fuel rack stop is right on top just move it toward the front of the engine a little at a time and try it out. If you pull the air line off the puff limiter (put a plug in the hole) you will definitely see a difference getting up to speed, I cant remember what I took out of that one years back I had to leave part in there for it to work right Ill have to pop my cover off and look at it to remember, "my lock wire is broken already-wink,wink"
  14. supposedly the Mack p/n for the aus E9 610hp is 631GC5142M or AM turbo manufacturer p/n 168095 from 95-2003 there is a different p/n from 2003-2007 it is 474305 but I cant find a Mack p/n that crosses to this one. I guess I ned to ttry to find out which one is a direct swap for my 85 631GC5110.
  15. 505hp MP8, with an 18 spd, or M drive 12 spdO.D. trans and 3.86 rears with lo pro 24.5's would be my drivetrain of choice, plenty of gear for torque in hills and a good cruise rpm and always go with O.D. its just not worth it to go with direct anymore you can always drop a gear and keep the rpm and road speed where you want it. I dont know what kind of gross weight you are hauling but if you are light or never plan to get into big hills 3.36 rears would also be a good choice, 3.21 would never work here in the southeast US too many hills and I always ran close to gross you would lug then have to drop two gears to keep the rpm in the right range, However if you plan to run low pro 22.5 tires go 3.36 or 3.21 rears the road speed/rpm matches up with 3.36 and low pro 22 to 3.86 and low pro 24. Just my two cents worth
  16. best way to make a Mack start with air in the lines, which you did get in there if you cracked the fuel system anywhere, is to crack the injector lines at the injector on 4 injectors, as someone cranks someone else watch for fuel to spurt out and tighten the injector lines as you get fuel to them, when it tries to start stop cranking, you should have all 4 "wet" tighten the restof the injectors then crank the engine with about half throttle on the pedal itll start.

  18. found this looking for a turbo new old stock apparently anyone need a new grille for an rl here it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-RL-RS-Grille-New-6MF49308-/110980204570?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d6ef881a
  19. I found this page that has pretty much every Mack engine I can think of listed and the oem and replacement turbos p/n listed, you never know when this will come in handy. http://www.jhdiesel.com/BORG%20MACK.htm
  20. 631gc5134 is a turbo for an E6, any way you can find the correct number for the 610 E9 turbo I might go that route and just watch my fuel, I think just turning the governor up a little and maybe 10% should be ok if I can get more air to it, Ill definitely not be running too heavy so exh temp shouldnt be too much of a problem.
  21. Hmm 120k huh? Well I had the last E9 truck and pulling a triaxle detach with a D400 on it I out pulled a 550 cat with one coil on Mt Eagle here in TN, I would guess he was grossing about 78000 and I was 124,000 I was 4000 over my permit. I remember it well he got all pissy when I scooted over to let a car on the highway and slowed him down then he says to me " why dont you keep that old Mack in the right lane so a real truck can get down the road" this did not sit well with me so when we started pulling the mountain and he started slowing down I started speeding up and passed him on a 7% grade and told him the same thing he told me, I didnt hear any more crap out of him after that.
  22. I finally got a set of the Old style mudflaps on the truck, thanks to Barry and Watts truck for getting things like this for guys like us I think they look great and now you know what just passed you on a hill too!
  23. 25. I have alway thought of putting an old mack E5 Midliner engine in a pickup Im just scared about the parts availability but you can get the 6 liter version pretty cheap considering and it says Mack on the data plate(renault on the block).
