the 12 grand truck is a dual breather V8 truck, that is a double threat its worth 12 if it runs and drives and 8 or 9 if not, the red and black one has been for sale several times on truck paper I called about that truck before I bought my last one in 2006. I think the other E6 black daycab is pretty sweet too, could make a hell of a dump trailer toter. they both could actually just the V8 is heavy when your hauling by the ton I already played that game, my 84 was an E9 440, 12 spd, double frame daycab and weighed more than my 93 ch 60" sleeper truck, I havent weighed this one but a V8, double frame and a sleeper it cant be light.

Im on my second E9 truck, you just cant beat em for power under a load but they are outrageously expensive to work on, if you decide to sell the E9 truck, or just the E9 let me know Im always looking.

Yeah I have driven one, and a DM, I cant see the passenger side mirror without binoculars, and I was too close to passing traffic, and the hood is too short I might as well have been in an F model, lets not even talk about the lean!

yeah the dogs and bases can be a pain to get loose, as for a gold dog, well I put one on my 04 granite it was all Mack drivetrain but they didnt put gold on the granites then so I fixed a factory defect in my mind, the 85 I have now has an eaton trans so i am sticking with chrome till I get a good trtxl 1070 to put in it then Im goin gold dog on it too.

My point being make sure you have the right one before you get crazy, the number on the side of the trans will tell you which one you have then someone can tell you for sure, if you use 4 low range and it runs almost the same speed as 3 low its the pattern above, if you drop 4-500 rpm its supposed to be used its the old style t2090.

there are two different Mack 9 spds, one shifts like an eaton lo-1-2-3-4-range split-5-6-7-8 and the other is lo-1-2-3-range split-4-5-6-7-8 the latter is what I had in my 93 CH it gets you into high range quicker so in town or on low speed roads you can stay in one range the 4 hole in the low range is not to be used you go back to lo in high range like a 10 spd.

Hi, nice truck, I like the old dogs with the big hoods they are great to drive (not like some of the leaning trucks, u nut) I have a couple sources on Mack parts probably the best bet for air tanks at a decent price would be Phil at Global truck traders, call him at 603-239-7008. I called him for a few parts for mine and he had em all in stock and shipped em the next day great guy to deal with. Good luck with the truck, too bad its got that durn ol yeller motor, you know theyre yeller cause they is scared of the big dogs right? LOL!

Everything on any base in Iraq was run by either a Big Cat or a Big Cummins gen set, most areas had two big Cat generators at Camp Adder, they would shut one down for maintenance and start the other one up till they were done. We had one at Camp Cedar that was going south for the last couple weeks the camp was up and running, it was smoking out the exhaust and the crankcase vent almost constantly for the last two or three weeks I was there, they closed the camp 4 weeks after they sent me to Adder hell that generator is probably still there. I dont know how may of the 30 to 40 foot Cat gen sets were on Adder but they were very abundant, probably several million in power generation at that base.

Now? I am pretty sure it already needed "some" work! lol, crazy yankees!

You really want to tell the boss what makes it worth buying more of those trucks, tell him that 13 liter ran right with the 15 liter cummins, if I had to bet you will probably get better fuel mileage than the Cummins after Break in and as for the Cat's, Why? just why? the Acert engines have been crap since they came out and you go buy an international with a cat badge and an Acert engine, WHY?

I have a friend that needs to sell a 73 kW w900a Ext hood trial axle dump, it has a 1693 cat with another engine that goes with it, the truck is rough but ran when he got his freightliner classic and parked it I think he is going to ask $10,000 obo I think its worth more, drop me a message and ill get more info/ contact number, the truck is in Watertown tn.

I have seen one rs600l single axle but I don't know if it was factory, was a neat truck though.
