  1. my 84 rw had the brown button tuck interior on a tan base that was the high level interior option back then, after they went to east coast production only the button tuck died, a sad day if you ask me.
  2. go get it mike then you can have a heavy duty b model wrecker too, and its a quadraplex which is cool.
  3. Just damn I mean that would have to be the most head on collisions I have seen in a month, and I used to be a Firefighter, first respoder, extrication tech. I mean seriously I would be scared to drive there.
  4. Is a 230gn hollow point .45 a blunt object at 1000feet per second, if so I agree! I just cant imagine what I might do if some asshole was standing between me and the stuff I wanted and asking double, Im guessing I would just take it from him and leave him there in the inevitable pool of goo.
  5. I found this on Craigslist it looks awesome somebody needs this truck. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/3270654957.html

    Ouch.

I hear ya I have the 4.64 gears in mine so I only run about 60 to 65 but I can pull two trucks with the brakes locked at 60. Good luck with the engine and keep me posted I want to know when its time to fire it up I might come for the event, are you going to get cigars for when your baby comes back to life?
  7. till 84 then they all went to PA for the 85 production run, I have seen some sold as 85's with the hayward chassis even though they say they built 84's then closed and moved production to PA for the 85's of course in the early 80's Mack labelled the titles with the year they were sold not built a truck may have been built in 80 and sold in 81 and it was an 81 model I have heard tell of some being built two years before they were titled and as such being labelled two years newer.
  8. 85 was split the last year of all tan was 84 the first year of all gray was 86 I have an 85 that is gray had an 84 that was tan, almost bought an 85 in tan and there ya go, the word I got was they were using up what they had in 85 remember some trucks built in 84 were 85's and some built in 85 were 86's that would explain the color overruns.
  9. might I suggest some comfortable Mack apparel? https://www.mack-shop.com/mti/VALUE/Itemdesc.asp?ic=M3845%2D12MO&eq=&Tp=
  10. Is there any word on the second annual trucktoberfest for next year?

    Ouch.

Nice glad your getting it together next year we can run up to cookeville to the aths show together, or I could trailer your B if you want, you know if it wont make it up the hill there on 40, I think the ol Super Dog can handle it. LOL!
  12. I need you in tn, I have had about as many issues getting my truck together for this last show as I could possibly have and the house I just bought is a whole nother story and no Im not done with the house not by a long shot I have broken a backhoe 4 times trying to get the area behind the basement dug out for a slab at basement level I finally just paid a friend to come do it with his Bigger backhoe (590 super L) and we were done in a day.

    Ouch.

And yes there is an adapter, and a whole machine based on the chinese version of a dewalt, they even make a cordless version so you can "take it on the go" so to speak.

    Ouch.

I have seen the a__ box at a certain middle tn emergency room, and yes most keep a box for the interesting objects they remove or at least take photos and keep them together. I will say this, I am a crazy kinky sum bitch but just damn, you dont want to try to imagine what has to be removed on a weekly basis from someones rear it is scary, there were a lot of" how the hell did that get in there" comments made.
  15. Just holy crap, I thought I had a bunch of stuff laying around, I suddenly feel inadequate. I didn't see a new old stock superliner hood top in there, I bet that's in the bedroom drawer safe from drooling truck nuts though.
  16. Which link? The torque rod from the frame to the axle going across from side to side? That bracket bolts to the back of the chunk and I have never seen a carrier that didn't have the holes for it. The other torque rod from the top of the carrier forward to the trunnion has two different mounting styles one is saddle mount with two bolts on the carrier the other is taper mount with one nut it works like a tie rod end.
  17. Hmm where to even start, well if she delivered a package here I would probably try to get her to do things I would get into trouble for saying here so well skip that. I have seen the F,MH, and CH Macks but never an R, there have been several Internationals and Sterlings around here and in the Cab over days they had just about everything. I have looked the cut up CH trucks over several times, most dont even have a Mack steering wheel emblem they are just generic horn buttons. I know that they ran the same mirrors on all their trucks for years no matter the brand they were the small square convex and slightly larger rectangle flat mirror, brown of course along with the brackets. I wish they would sell them but they are pretty far into their routine to change now, just think of all those F and MH models scrapped, makes me sad.
  18. Just curious is the ATHS a not for profit? I thought it was "not for profit" but if it is a profitable corporation then we have an issue if not then whats the deal? I see that the buses were a large cost and paying for all the ATHS employees to travel had to be a lot of money, so just out of curiosity why did they need buses? and why did the ATHS pay for so much of the out of town travel of so many employees if its a not for profit organization? Just my thoughts on the matter.
  19. definitely not me my pockets are dusty theyve been empty so long.
  20. That is a great find and yeah putting a price on that would be easy for someone that was into recycling but Im going to bet its a tad higher to guys like us, if you have any Superliner stuff your willing to part with, especially in the 85 range let me know Im willing to give it a good home, I actually have a Mack shelf on my bookshelf in the office.
  21. Thats good to hear, and the shop equipment is really nice I have to get a shop up soon so I have somewhere to put my stuff right now I have a small collection but Im working on it, I would LOVE to have a CNC Milling machine.
  22. make that a set forward bumper say by 4-6 inches and you could have a cool shelf for other truck stuff too, I had the same idea a few years ago I had an R model hood that was killed on the back but good up front.
  23. I am actually trying to remake the bolt on camelback shock brackets, if I get a set done and they fit right I plan to make several and sell them at cost here on BMT or thru Barry hwo knows, they are nice to have for the Camelback hop issue.
  24. It is cool but makes me sad its gone I have not seen more than 5 Magnums so far and there goes another one.
  25. Holy S__t, well I guess I should auction off my Superliner and go buy a new tractor, with those prices I should be able to get at least $50,000 for mine it runs and drives fine, got good brakes, good tires, new exhaust, new bumper, just got all the aluminum polished, hell maybe I can get $60,000.
