Might I suggest this visor it would stand out great on that truck with all the polished aluminum, check out JP chrome for other newer Mack truck chrome. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-CH-CL-CX-CT-GU-Vision-13-Drop-Visor-2002-Current-/110560554162?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item19bdec2cb2&vxp=mtr

that trailer would do it now go find an M35 to haul around and you can have the Mack tri fecta.

I had issues on my 93 and it ended up being the wiring at the deutch connector near the pump. I know the early vmac's had a connector on the back where the harness enters the pump and the connector about 10 inches toward the back of the engine, they had so many issues they took the connector off the pump and hard wired the later ones(this was also a fix for the early pumps). I just unplugged the connector and jumpered the wires removing one at a time till i found the culprit then ran a wire outside of the connector soldered in and heat shrinked to correct the problem. I think the one I had at Hurst had an issue with a pressure sensor that made it derate, just my two cents but I wouldnt change the pump for a 30 dollar sensor or 2 bucks worth of solder and heat shrink.

I guess Ill join in I always liked camaros this is one I just sold to a friend,4spd hard top car, I may have to try to get it back one of these days. I added Hotchkis suspension, Baer brakes and Corvette Z06 wheels (magnesium made by speedline in italy) it was fun.

Rotting Superliner
rsb502 replied to rsb502's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I just bought an 85 on the newer frame, I had an 84 on the old frame with the steering on the axle seemed a little stupid to me but hey Im no engineer. -
Rotting Superliner

I looked under the fender well it looked to be an E6 it was an inline in gray paint and before 84 that would be right, I didnt leave any number his son seemed pretty interested in restoring it when he could if dad didnt but its going to need lots of sheet metal. -
I have to wonder, did he think he would get away with it and outrun the law on a tractor? or was the whole issue he didnt think, either way I think its pretty darn hilarious reminds me of the abrams tank rampage a few years back and the armored d9 dozer back before that.

I saw this truck in a field a few years ago and couldtn catch anyone at home I went today and they were there but Im sad to say they wont sell her it was the owners first truck he bought it new at Neely Coble Mack in Nashville and says he is going to fix it back up one day, thought someone might like the pics.
-
I have not called I jsut looked on the website they have been out of stock for quite a while, I will call and ask after I get the rest of my parts order on paper I need filters my dealer in Nashville doesnt stocka nd they want to order me a case of each or nothing I say nothing. thanks
-
I have been there with the slow shift I changed the filter added an air dryer to the truck and rebuilt the shift solenoids there was corrosion and what I would call mud in the solenoids I think that was my problem but Mack did not stock that filter and had to order me a case of them.
-
I am looking for a set or two of the old stlye rubber mudflaps with the dogs facing each other 24" x whatever", as advertised in the Watts R,Superliner section they show to be out of stock.
-
Nice buy now you just need a lowboy with an old B model on it and you can head to a show.
-
I had one in a CH also and yes thats how it works, the idea behind it is to get you into high range with fewer shifts then you can stay there during normal driving even thru towns down to 30mph and not have to range shift. I still get screwed up going back to that truck from any other but it works great if you remember, go to the dash then go to high in the low hole and your there, 4 on the bottom, 5 on top versus eatons with 5 low and 4 high. I think when you get used to it youll like it, dont see a pic of the purchase though?

rsb502 replied to mack mhe9's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I would love to go but I guess it will have to wait till next year I dont think my new one will be ready for a long road trip by then I want to see pics though. -
Thats an old 769 cat that was their first off road dump as I recall, Mack made them before Cat. M35 Mack believe it or not all those trucks are supposed to be in the same weight class ( Mack looks stringer to me)

95 E7 350 with bosch mechanical pump (more power available?)
rsb502 replied to dds92780's topic in Engine and Transmission
with the bosch pump you can really do whatever you want for power, just let your wallet lead the way. I would think going up 10% on your pump with a little more timing and a swap to a wastegated turbo will do what you want. I know that Dale Francis is the man on Mack v8's he has a turbo upgrade for single turbo trucks that almost doubles your boost and you get boost off idle, I would call him and ask what he recommends for an E7 like yours the number is 440-254-4046. -
got another V8
rsb502 replied to rsb502's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I just made this with my phone to prove it started so it doesnt show the whole truck I will make another one later in the week and post it I used to have several truck videos but they got deleted I will be making more soon, maybe just maybe video of an E9 pulling a lowboy making some sweet V8 sound. thanks for the comments I plan to have this truck at the ATHS show in Cookeville TN in September and the Chrome Country show in Smyrna TN in October. I have long wanted to get a Mack Truck show/cruise up somewhere in the Southeast I might have to really try now that I have a sleeper. -
I dont have any yet I am looking for a set with higher gears I have the taper mount carriers not the saddle mount torque arms I know that for sure, I would like to swap my 4:64's for a set but I might have to settle for buying a set.
-
I have a set of 44k camelback 4:64 rears in my Superdog and I am looking for a set of 4:17 or 3:87/86 rears to swap in it, I believe it is a crd92 front and crd93 rear since I am swapping both do I need to know anything other than the input splines? I have to get it home and drop the driveline to know for sure but what am I missing I just have the feeling Im forgetting something? ?
-
I am looking for a new mattress for my Superliner, I need to measure for sure but I believe it is a 34" wide mattress with two corners notched for the exhaust notches in the sleeper does anyone know where to get a replacement?
