  1. next line up was 720, if it runs like most it should get about 7, more if he runs light.
  2. Don't tell me that, I was happy in my little Mack bubble.
  3. I want my 700hp club stickers man, wth? I guess I would have to drive to PA and let Antrim do the dyno thing to get em huh? that sucks! Glad to see another Kitty killing E9 back on the road and just think its been killin cats since the 90's, thats a whole lot of pu$$!8s! I like the pic with the MH pulling the RW, now get one with the RW pulling the MH from the other side and hang them in your shop next to each other. You cant hate a Mack pulling another Mack, at least you didnt take a pic behind the Volvo.
  4. Puppydog, Going from a 4.64 to a 4.17 would be ok for your overall gearing, youll lose a little torque but little, I doubt you would notice much difference in power from a 4.64 to a 4.17. I have run 4.64, 4.42 and 4.17 oin tri axles running 74,000+ pounds and they all ran fine for me, it really all depends on you, yes a trtxl1070 or 1070B would get you some more speed but even with that you would want to get up to a 4.42 to get the same cruise speed as a 4.17 with your trans. The math with a 1:1 trans and 11R24.5 tires comes out at 2300rpm@65 for a 4.64 and 2070 for 4.17 rears, a .78 OD will get you down to 1790rpm with 4.64 and 1600rpm @ 65mph with 4.17 rears. I would make the swap to a 4.17 if it was me, the 4.64, 4.42 and 4.17 are very common Mack rear ratios so finding a set and swapping your carriers shouldnt be an issue. You will need to know the carrier input splines on the driveline and axle splines, also if it is taper mount or saddle mount on the torque rod on top, taper looks like a drag link end with one big nut, saddle mount has two smaller bolts and a wishbone style bar.
  5. Did the cab shrink in the dryer?
  6. never seen those, they did a non emissions aset engine at 480hp for the military in the ill fated Granite military truck, the ones they actually bought to my knowledge were off the shelf Mack powertrain with allison transmissions. There have been some non emissions MP7's sent south of the border but Ive only seen pics of them thru Staxx, I am sure they could make them however they wanted but they probaably wont help us get there.
  7. low pro 22.5 are 40" tall, 11R22.5 and low pro 24.5 are 42" tall, 11R24.5 are 44" tall use this and your info in this calculator. http://www.powerblocktv.com/resources/
  8. what size tires?, like I said above I can do the math but not withou the tire size and the trans ratio.
  9. Thats a Crockett and Phillips truck Staxx, they haul at the Zinc mine in Gordonsville, they run 80,000# plus back and forth from the mine to the plant with those, I wondered who could break one now it just fits.
  10. Holy crap, I might even trade my RW for something like that!
  11. if you give me the tire size and transmission model I can get you pretty close to max mph @ whatever rpm, i swapped from 4.64 to 3.65 with an Eaton 9 spd so .73 OD and 11R24.5 tires, I went from wound out at 70 to 1400rpm @ 70. If ypou have an Eaton OD trans and 11 R 24.5 tires a 4.42 will make about 1600 rpm @ 65, 4.17 would do 1500@65mph
  12. The truck looks great, if it runs like it looks it'll be an awesome ride for sure.
  13. The post office doesn't count, they'll put anybody's picture up on the wall.
  14. All you guys that will be there Thurs,Friday get us some pics so we know who you are.
  15. Reminder BMT pic at the Mack corporate booth saturday at noon, be there or don't, whatever, lol.
  16. Ha, beat me to it.
  17. FWD, looks like that floor is awful high, you could undercut the floor and make it higher that way, the RR does it to tunnels all the time.
  18. I was just ignoring it long enough to see how many other folks saw it, lol.
  19. Here's my new to me Mack engine....
  20. Nope I just like talking about e9's, they're so sweet.
  21. Its sitting on 11r22.5's so low pros would drop you about 1.5", of course you could always build a bigger garage, or just get a bigger door!
  22. Just got back from a drive in the MB, the shifters are sticky but they're soaking in kroil so they'll get better and I can turn it around in one lane of a two lane road. The sound reminds me of a CF pumper we had on the vfd here years ago, it runs awful good for as long as it has sat. I can tell this is gonna be one of those things I spend way too much time playing with.
  23. Measured just for shits n grins when I loaded it, was 10'6", my stacks are 12'6" on the RW, the MB is about 16' long, just a little guy. I think the lowboy is 24" high so figure 8'6" for the truck.
  24. Almost all southern trucks, tandems, triaxle and quads have 44 rears. Big rears never really caught on here since the most you could put on em was 66-68k for a tandem. I think that looks like a GA truck, they run lots of tandem dumps in GA with 14,600-18k steers and 44-46k rears. I can't remember what they can haul but it was less than TN and we are 66,000 on a tandem so most here have 18-20k steers and 44-46 rears. On the interstate your only looking at about 50,000 gross so that leaves plenty of axle.
