CSX + trucks = ouch....

The "driver" of the new York truck isn't actually he driver of the truck, he's sitting in a dual steer bi fold door truck, probably a garbage truck not that MR.

I pulled the factory antennas off two Granites and swapped em for Wilson 2000's, made a huge difference on those trucks with my cranked up Cobra 29. On one of the granites the am FM antenna was separate so I went with one Wilson on the other one the amfm used the CB antennas so I put two Wilson's on and matched them up good.

E9's are old style turbos, a huge upgrade for an E9 is a turbo, for slightly more than stock hp a Borg Warner 171702 is a good upgrade for higher HP the 80mm Borg Warner from Antrim Diesel is bad ass.

Who's going to MATS in Louisville this year? I'll be there saturday unless something crazy happens looking for a bigger turnout for the BMT pic at the Mack booth! I was thinking noon again and look for the rest of us flunkies, I'm looking forward to making fun of The "Mack" guys again. I love asking questions about old trucks they can't answer.

Older engines with smaller older generation turbos or naturally aspirated need a larger intake volume to keep the intake vacuum down. With a new generation turbo they can pull a lot of air if the volume is available.

Aset right, if it was an avert I would have a problem with that.

So which one is you?

Actually Antrim and a couple others say you can make over 1000hp on that air cleaner cause I was pondering swapping to two stainless breathers.

its a big air cleaner, 8" inlet pipe.

J, wheres all the extra stuff hanging off the side of the engine? shouldnt there be egr coolers and electronically controlled liquid cooled turbos and valves and computers on that thing?

That's a Mercedes not a US product! Lol, they're all gonna have issues, you can't stick all the extra emissions and govt compliance crap on a truck and not have issues, not to mention all the new technology that truck makers think we want in our trucks. I don't know about everybody else but a mechanical engine with a manual transmission and std camelback rears is good for me, I don't need a driver information center or GPS telemetry to haul a load.

There's no written rules and regulations on this thread, I just think its a neat idea to save em up and have something different every day, gives me something to look forward to. I've been so tied up lately I haven't had time to participate bit I'm trying to keep up to date.

All the truck E9's have the same exhaust manifolds, the marine and tank engines have different exhaust. Mack still has the parts in the system if you want new, Dale Francis has his headers (expensive) and some welded pieces. Winrock Truck Parts in Oliver Springs TN can find em somehow but they probably don't have all the pieces in stock. I'm going to try to make some stainless tubular manifolds for an E9 when I can, this cold ass winter has kept me waiting since I don't have a shop to work in. I hope to get my truck in a friends shop or get to work on my exhaust in the driveway as soon as it warms up and I'll post pics and try to make a few extra sets for others if they want em. I'm still looking for a junk E9 block, heads and flywheel housing to use as a jig to build em in my garage off the truck.

Yep that's sum 6BT Cummins power in a few of those. The last one Mike posted is a Mid TN truck, that thing is freakin awesome. The engineering in the suspension is pretty awesome,it was a junk truck and now it's back at shows so I'm cool with it. That truck has a tiny 290 sitting in the frame crooked and some great details all over.

A long hood R with disc wheels, radiator shutters, and a clean frame, hell I want it for $2000

Hell Watts has em in stock, I put a new one in mine just so the MACK lettering was crisp and clean. But I'm a little CDO, that's OCD alphabetically, the way it should be.
