  4. I got a few non Mack over 30 year trucks for ya today, the K100 is the product of a 3 year restoration, the W900A model is just a pic I found I liked.
  5. And that is why I don't like liquid coolers, air to oil is the only way to avoid that problem and they keep the trans cooler. Figure if your engine gets hot so does your trans, I talked to an Allison guy about the MT643's in buses years ago and he told me to get a separate cooler. They were built with water to oil coolers and he told us that if the trans gets over 200 you will have issues, hell the engines ran 185-205 all the time so so did our transmissions.
  6. That thing makes the other trucks in front no it look tiny, those are some awesome trucks for sure.
  7. That's gonna be a sweet truck for you, I'll take it when you decide to let it go.
  8. Looks like a 237 and 44 rears to me, I thought by 79 the 38's were flat axles.
  9. OD straps aren't supposed to be banjo string tight are they? Maybe you need to use chains instead.
  10. It happens every Monday mad dog, get some more pics ready only 5 days I'll the next mack motor Monday.
  11. The truck that coupled up to the train is a track inspector that put on the track and came around a curve to meet a train coming at him. The back hoe was driving on the road and the explorer actually cut across behind it and caught the boom flipping it over on themselves.
  12. The CL could be had with two frame sizes, the CL613 was the smaller rail height, the CL713 had the larger of the frames.
  13. That 505E may get better fuel mileage than the 445, in my limited experience more HP from the same engine size = more efficient operating engine and if you use more HP the way it should be used and let the truck do the work it'll get better fuel mileage. We did a test at HBI with 4 Freightliners all identical N14 powered trucks, we set 2at525hp and 2 at 435/500 split rate. After 6 months the 525hp trucks averaged over 1mpg better.
  14. How bout a backhoe on an explorer....
  15. Here's some tore up Tuesday stuff.....
  16. Ha, your gonna run outta stickers awful fast!
  17. poor bulldog cant even run away and that thing is smothering him!
  18. Fed rules say 20,000# per axle max with certain axle spacing, if the tag is too close it doesnt qualify unless you are running a permit, the most you can legally run on any tandem is 34,000# at 17,000# per axle and this is the same for a tandem or a single axle and a tag unless they are spaced out and I cant remember the axle spacing needed to get to 20k, you also have to have the tire and wheel rating to handle it as said above if the axle rating is good bnut the tire is too light youll get popped for the lesser of the two.
  19. Randy, do you have a spare atlas i your truck with gold stars in all the locations you have met a BMT member?
