  1. Hmmm, heavy Haul tri axle MH, with a V8 making about 1000HP, i could see it.
  2. TN is 66,000 on tandem, 74000 on triaxle, 80000 on quad, bridge law chart on interstates, my triaxle granite was only good for 53,500 on the big roads.
  3. Bet you couldn't flip a truck on a "private" road and slide it sideways onto the lane of a highway that perfectly if you wanted to.
  4. Got em in lots of older RR machines, hell they still put em in some as they rebuild em instead of swapping to newer engines. Every time an operator says "that engine as leaking oil" I say "check it twice a day instead of once" they say "you aint gonna fix it" I reply "its a 4-53 Detroit if its running its leaking".
  5. Jakebrake Go look at the wedico Cat stuff on garden trucking.com they have a 966,740 and a 345 excavator but I can't afford em.
  6. If I was there when that Plymouth got dug up I woulda puked.
  7. I m ight be able to come up with a louver style grille for an R model, it would be custom made to measure so itll be expensive, but doable.
  8. Im surprised the dash didnt fall in the floor when you covered up the light, ive never been in a freightshaker that didnt have a rattle or shake to the damn dash, the DD15 is one of the better emissions engines out there though so they get points for that I guess.
  9. That R is badass with the big turnouts and floats on it, wonder how it looks clean...... I dont think I would be qualified for that grille front seat either, not on the chain drive wallet, big ego payscale, lol. I wonder if there is a bad bump behind that truck with the load getting stolen. I had pics somewhere of a Howard Baer trailer that broke like that, they had it loaded heavy right in the middle with drums of something and hit a pretty bad bump and she broke down in the middle, driver said he nearly crapped his pants when it happened at 70mph. All in all another nice week of pics Ray, we thank you for your support!
  10. I used to go to gardentrucking.com all the time and drool over the Cat stuff and the truck builds but I had to stop looking or I would be about 10 grand into a Mack dump truck or tractor/dump trailer by now. I have several Bruder Granites waiting to offer their cabs for a build on a tamiya chassis but Im keeping focused on the real Superliner and my other toys right now, hell if I got into it like I did HO trains I would have a fleet, I ended up with waaaaaay to much money in DCC/sound equipped locos and well over a few hundred cars. I have video of a working coal loader I built on my youtube as well as a 75 car UP coal train with a mid train helper, too much money just in those two right there, lets not even talk about all the other stuff. i am curious who is doing the printed cabs for you, what are they using for their design? pics, or an actual scanned die cast version or what, tell me, tell me!
  11. I had a bad connection in the pump harness do the same thing to my 93 CH E7 vmac 400, had a bad connection on two wires due to melting of the [plastic around the pins. This is the round Bosch style connector just to the left of the pump on the pass side of the engine.
  12. Is this a vmac truck or mechanical? (Electronic pedal or throttle linkage?)
  13. see the Mack Scania Vabis engine for $1750 buy it now?
  14. Several Superliners for sale on ebay too, 4 from the same place near Boston, 3 V8 trucks, if they get what theyre asking Im sitting on a gold mine.
  15. there is a set of Bores stainless fender guards on ebay too, look up mack superliner and youll find em.
  16. awesome, I may need to get a 3d printed Superliner cab and hood for a Tamiya chassis, have you thought about using a micro servo mounted on the bottom of the body to lock the tailgate, then you can open and close it independently of the hoist.
  17. Yeah as others have said, good luck, I think I would want a lawyer like FWD there too just for the correct verbage of, go to hell old man!
  18. Go to court much? geez I almost thought you were a lawyer for a minute......hey wait a second!
  19. My walkout basement garage got cold enough not one but two pipes froze and then burst, had about 3 inches of water in the basement before someone noticed, I was in NC so the wood stove wasn't running like it is when im here and its cold out. Apparently the water running out the garage doors froze and created a dam and that's how it got to 3" of water in a 22'x42' space, needless to say ive been drying and cleaning since Friday when I got home. I try to keep my wood stove and a fan down there going to keep it about 40-50 degrees but with me out of town it was kinda hard to do, I am trying to get some wood toegether now for the next couple months and guess what, its been so wet I have almost no dry wood. I guess Ill have to prepare a little earlier next year, I already used up almost the same amount of wood I used all last winter, I wasn't ready for it to get this cold this fast and stay there, we don't normally do that in TN.
  20. I agree with BMT being a great forum, I want to thank Barry and the moderators for making this what it has become. It seems to me this forum has doubled in active members since I first joined and I think that is mainly due to the freedoms we are allowed. I think most of us are of a mind that our freedoms shall not be infringed and in keeping with this view our use of our right to freedom of speech is rarely infringed by the BMT moderators. I as before appreciate the knowledge of BMT members, I know that I have learned a lot from questions and answers posted and m grateful to have done so. I hope this forum is kept alive and that I can give back a fraction of the knowledge to others as Im able.
  21. Does anybody have a spare hood filler panel for a dual breather hood I can make a pattern off of? And for clarification I'm talking about the sheetmetal panel that fills the space between the hood cutout and the cowl.
  22. Probably not, take the Loyd panels and some pics to an upholstery shop and have them made, cheaper anyway.
  23. Best hot rod Mack parts list ever put together there.
