  1. Ha, well everybody has to be somebody.
  2. Just pull the valve cover and check it out, could be a pinched wire, could be a bad solenoid and it could just be the insulation bad on the bulkhead plug thru the side of the riser, not a big deal really. P.s. I don't recommend the smoke test if you like your truck, lol!
  3. Going from an R to a CH is a big jump, camelback to airride is a big change too.
  4. "Holy friction material batman" I get a kit with shoes, springs and rollers for $80
  5. I smell a road trip!
  6. A poo-finery!
  7. Ha, that's the paint job I was thinking about when I mentioned silver on top, the red frame will tie in the stripe nice.
  8. I've pondered what an RW rv would look like, I've seen almost every variety of newer truck chassis with a nice rv body but not many older trucks. Wonder if there's a market for R,RW, KW W900A, Pete 359 and Ford LTL rv's? Hmmmmmm, maybe even an old General!
  9. And the winner for most stickers on their pickup.......this guy!
  10. That's one way to make it more aerodynamic.
  11. Diamond Equipment the local Case dealer has the 580M backhoe in case yellow and the black anniversary edition, won't sell em and they are broken all up.
  12. Ok the RW looks like a decent truck, but why in the hell would you take pics of it the way it looks under the hood? I would have been embarrassed if my dump trucks looked like that driving for someone else!
  13. Here ya go Vlad, Mack4ever, I want some of the white flaps with the colored dogs in the last pic Vlad posted if you can get a couple sets Ill buy em for my truck.
  14. Here's a pic of the brackets and rod, mines not bolted to the back of the carrier yet just the bottom and the frame. Global truck parts, Winrock truck parts, the list goes on should have them on the ground.
  15. Ahh, 18" would give you more surface area, cost double to change too. I always thought 16.5x7 was std for Mack 34k+ rears since all of them I've had were 7's (upto44k)but I can't get a direct answer now.
  16. That's not a dog in that pickup, that's an automatic, heated load securement device. The F looked purty cool, the Freightliner looks close to my first truck at Howard Baer.
  17. Looking for a nice steerable tag axle if anybody knows where to find one.
  18. Also make sure items 7,8 and 9 in your drawing aren't cracked.
  19. If there's no cap on the trunnion shaft its got rubber bushings and they have more movement than the bronze bushings. Like above sounds like its missing the transverse torque rod, they made that addition in the mid 80's to stop the walk of the axles. The transverse torque rod has a bracket bolted to he back of the rear carrier and the torque rod runs across to the right frame rail and bracket which has two bolts holding it in the frame. If you replaced the trunnion bushings, wedges and shock absorber pads at each end of the spring it shouldn't be able to move enough to touch the carrier to the frame. Did you replace ALL the pieces, both top and bottom rubber pads and the wedges on each side?
  20. Whats wrong with the 18? You wanna sell it I like em, got a gear for everything.
  21. Mack 18 will have a .71OD the trtxl 1070 12 speed has a .78 so youd lose a little, if you want more highway speed or lower highway rpm Id swap the 4.17 rear carriers to a 3.86/3.87, thatll get you some more speed, just out of curiosity how fast do you want to go? I had 4.42 rears and a 12 speed OD in my 84 with 11R24.5's and it would run well over 70 if I had wanted to but I kept it down around 65-68. Im planning to swap my 3.65 rears back to 4.17 to get myself some more gearing and bring my rpm up right now im running 1400 at 70mph and I like to run around 1500-1600rpm for best mileage and power.
