  1. Um hey Ray look at this one........http://www.ebay.com/itm/MACK-E-9-V8-500HP-/181263493452?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a3425694c&item=181263493452&pt=Commercial_Trucks
  2. I look at the pics of those trucks and it hits me again, why cant people take better care of the interior, I mean if your a driver that is a direct reflection on you, your the one in it all day and if it looks like shit I gotta think your not any better than the mess you leave behind.
  3. 645ci in, 10.57 liters per cylinder, I think itll fit, 9-1/16" bore x 11" stroke oughta be nice with 2100hp on tap at that 900 rpm red line.
  4. Hmmm actually I wonder if you could build a truck around one of the newer EMD V8 diesels, they were probably about 4-5' tall and 5' long about 4' wide and weigh around 4000-5000lbs.
  5. EMD still makes 2 strokes in the US, cant fit em in a truck but theyre made in the USA! lol
  6. Nope not this one, not yet anyway Im still waiting for Staxx to fix the dyno, the '84 I had made 560rwhp with an E9 440hp that had 10%over pump and the euro 540hp turbo, Ray (MHE9) had his RW on the dyno at Antrim with some of their injectors and turbo, don't know what their pump settings are but I think he said it was around 700-800rwhp, I cant remember. Antrim told me to look for around 800rwhp when I get the turbo on here to match the injectors and pump, Ill probably bump the timing up a couple degrees too. The Mack book shows the intake pressure at rated speed so 1900rpm to be 13-21 for an E9 500, of course 1900rpm is long after it peaks its boost (mine drops back off a little after about 1800) , Id say your right in there for a stock engine making 24-27.
  7. Loose leaf baby, its the only way I ever made it where I was going "legally"
  8. Except those.
  9. I have no words.........
  10. 24-27 sounds right, my 450 with bigger injectors and cranked up pump does about the same.
  11. Brocky I got both sides of those trucks and that was about it, I spent pretty much the whole time there talking to other ATHS members about the new chapter I'm starting here. I didn't even get a pic of my truck or the multitude of Pete's with louvered grilles(I counted 6).
  12. I don't think ID be brave enough to hand crank a truck, I like my fingers.
  13. Unless the flywheel got put on the front and the balacer out back that is, be hard to hook up a tranny though.
  14. you meant balancer right?
  15. That chn looks like a GA truck, probably 14600 frt, 40 rears and it will need a floor in that bed pretty quick. Still didn't see any axle ratings the chassis specs would be my selling point not the looks or price.
  16. I've never hauled logs myself!
  17. Went to the Heart of Dixie chapter ATHS show in Snead AL yesterday and got you guys a few pics.
  18. So you don't think naked pictures will be enjoyed by others.....or afraid they will? Lol!
  19. Is that key hole in the bumper for the crank handle to start it?
  20. I bought trucklite brand lights for $26 ea, they are identical to the Mack lights for less than half the money.
  21. On all the newer trucks with daytime running lights its all you can do, my service truck is like that and I hate it.
  22. ID buy it for the simple fact they are gone, when's the last time anybody saw more than maybe 1 a year.
  23. It was fine @55k, in AL its legal for 70k and on site who knows.
  24. I don't know what you are planning on spending but these are what I would recommend, an Allison auto would be nice for on site too, youll be wearing a clutch out staying off road, look for 4.64 rears if you get a manual trans. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4592125 http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3727253 http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4479101
  25. Al you can run 80k on a triaxle, way too much for a CH of any kind, they didn't offer a frame or front axle strong enough for 80k on a straight truck in a CH.
