  1. With 11r22.5's you'll make 65mph @ 1785 rpm, the Eaton has a .74 or. If you swap to 11r24.5's you'll get your rpm down to 1704@65 so you would be able to make 70mph just over 1830rpm. I would go with a 4.42 or 4.17 if you want to get your rpm down at interstate speeds and still keep good torque multiplication. If your not running too heavy you could swap to a 3.86 and the 13spd and keep your 22.5's and be geared ok, bout 1600rpm@70, if your close to gross 4.17 would be better making about 1730rpm@70mph with the 22.5 talls.
  2. Hmm, 15-20% % less at the wheels huh? I guess my last E9 truck didn't get the memo, it was rated at 440hp and made 560 at the wheels, don't know why it was so much higher .....
  3. I don't see any Burt Reynolds qualities in either of em myself, maybe a little like Justice Junior but not Burt.
  4. Appears to be well thought out, the tri drive on air ride gives the best tri axle weight distribution. It will probably kill tires and scrub up some ground turning tight but for areas with loose or soft ground it should do ok. I would go with a set forward axle not setback just for the bridge weights and less tire scrub and wear.
  5. I think ID put two or three good deep cycle batteries in there and mount two good size solar panels on the roof to charge em, that or buy one of the little Honda's.
  6. I don't see a slip yoke in there anywhere, am I missing it somehow? or is there more than pictured?
  7. yeah, unless you figured out a way to make that a three piece driveshaft you cant change the way its mounted, other than rotating it 180 but I dont think that will do anything.
  8. Just wait till its dark and go walking around in the city, you'll meet someone, probably not the way you want but ya never know. LOL, on second thought you better just try to make a truck show, its almost as safe as walking around in Jersey after dark.
  9. Hey I didn't say it, you seem to know Mack power well, has this happened already? Did Ray catch you out east and teach you how to get up a hill with that beast of an engine in the Ol White RW?
  10. Naa, something about a pete in trouble that seems to just look natural, if he was ever broken down around here I don't think he'd call, cause I would take the Superliner and do a Fly By of the scene before I picked him up! Might even offer to haul his trailer on to the destination so his load wasn't late, of course that would mean the trailer would never pull right again after it got a good stretch behind an E9 truck. LOL!
  11. A Cat truck with a plow? wow ok never even thought about that, of course my only experience with CAT trucks wouldn't easily fit down small streets.
  12. A yearly BMT Europe pic would be a neat addition for sure.
  13. Oh I'm on a couple watch lists for sure so you are guilty by association.
  14. ID take the tri axle In a minute.
  15. Damn I'm too far away for that.
  16. Well I've never been there but the Macungie PA show is one ID like to see so I would have to vote for that too. If your into aircraft The Museum of the Air Force is located in Dayton OH, supposedly the largest collection of aircraft under roof in the world and they do have it all. I can't stand the town but in Chicago IL you have the world renowned Museum of Science and Industry, the Shedd Aquarium and the Willis (formerly Sears)Tower. I would tell you to come to TN but unless you like American Country music and liqueur there's not a lot of world famous stuff here, just a bunch of crazy folks.
  17. I didn't notice until today that it had a 425 for a tag axle tire, the drives look taller than the 425, they have to be 12.00R 24's, Michelin shows them at 49" tall, the 425 XZY Michelin shows to be 44", I bet those Michelin 12.00R24's aren't cheap but you gotta pay if you wanna play I guess.
  18. I knew somebody would have the info.
  19. Cali? well theres 5 days wasted youll never get back! I am against going much farther west than New Mexico. Kinda waiting on that BigOne theyre supposed to have to watch it float away, and my sister lives there too.
  20. Ha, LOL I did that in my first RD at Hurst construction back in like 99 or so, I pulled up to a couple other trucks at the asphalt plant the next day and let my dog pee on em, by noon my boss called and told me to take it off, LOL. I just used some 1/4" vacuum line and ran it up the frame to the hood hinge and on up inside then looped it out up front and zip tied it to a leg. Damn I have been waiting for years to hear somebody else did it!
  21. Hey did somebody say something about free food?
  22. Ha, the first "BMT Europe" get together photo, that needs to go in the Archives Berry!
  23. Vlad that picture of you looks familiar, you aren't on my Most Wanted Russian Mafia poster are you?
  24. That 6 cylinder looks like it would be awefully familiar to a Mack mechanic, different but familiar.
