Hell yeah, scrap price right? The only thing keeping me from the N14 swap would be the electronics, I think all you need is an electronic speed sensor and throttle then you can just use a wiring diagram for the oem side of the ecm to get the ins and outs for the sensors right. Would be cool for sure, just keep some injectors and eps sensors handy, oh and take the time to make a socket for the eps sensor, makes it a whole lot easier.

Looks like an off brand, Ive actually managed to break a 1/2" proto industrial ratchet at work, Im not teling how, but it can be done if you really try and your impact wont break it loose. Good job on the tool, Id keep that one on the wall of shame just to remember the pain in your hand when it snapped.

An N14 would be a sweet upgrade, probably the most reliable high HP engine Cummins ever built. You can get over 700 HP easy and reliably from an N14

I have a friend that is toying with the idea of getting a 3d printer, the type used to print with metal are too expensive but the resin/plastic based printers aren't that bad and you can then use your plastic prototype to make the mold to pour metal pieces.

Staxx is gonna have to come thru with this hot rod Mack project, they already called him out!

OK folks, we shot the Music Video for The Black Lillies song Smokestack Lady this past weekend. I had a blast doing it and got some great footage of a Superliner getting chased by the cops, so in other words, smoke and speed in a big truck, COOL! I got to play the part of "stunt" double or driver as I called it so any scenes where the truck is moving its me, I wore a gopro on my head for some scenes so it was a point of view kinda thing. The amount of engineering that went into that vehicle just to make a testbed for the desired end user is nuts, there is no company left in the US if not the world htat would go to the trouble to build that, instead they would send you a computer model, oh and charge you for it.

Last I checked there weren't any non chrome y pipes left. I talked to Grand Rock exhaust, gave them the Mack y pipe p/n and they said they would make one for $500.

If its got mack axles and auto per dvdr, if you loose traction spike the brakes it will lock up automatically.

Not my trailer its a friends, I actually think the gearing would be OK but I've been pondering 3.86's or going to low pro 24.5's. The trailers pretty decent but I would rather have a 48' with a 26' well and flip over short ramps so they don't act like parachutes over 30mph.

thats a pretty std truck, mid level interior, front aluminum, steel rear wheels, aluminum tanks, single exhaust, not a Rawhide but not a plain jane work truck either, he told me an MP8 Rawhide Granite tri axle would be around $178,000.

mine is 6" id stacks and elbow, with a 6"od sleeve, the sleeve is made for this so they should know what to get, then under the cab past the reducer I have a 5" 45 on each side, going forward into a y pipe on the right and another 45 on the left, then its just a short piece of straight to tie into the y pipe, Ill have to try ot get under my truck to take some pics, I used a piece of flex on both sides and another one from the downpipe to the y so theres plenty of movement.

A .74 OD in the 13 spd and 3.90 rears with a 42" tall 11R22.5 or lo pro 24.5 would put you @ 77mph @ 1800 rpm, 69mph@1600rpm, I am like Superdog keep it close to 1600-1650 and itll pull great, if you run it over itll just pull down to 1600 on a hill anyway. If your going to go to the 13spd, or any eaton trans with a .74OD, you should shoot for a gear ratio around 4.42 to 4.17, 4.42 will get you doing 61mph@1600, 4.17 would be 64mph, I think a 4.64 would be a little steep for fuel mileage it puts it close to 1700 rpm @ 60, but it would probably pull great around 55-60mph or 88-95kmh
