  1. Talked to a Mack dealer today, I can get a new MP7 automatic tri axle with a 16' rogers elliptical AR body for $152,000, still too much but a whole lot cheaper than $192000 thats just ridiculous.
  2. Heres a pic of one side of mine, it drops back to 5" after the elbow before it goes under the cab so it has plenty of clearance, like I said its 6" united pacific 96" miter stack and a 6" dynaflex tight radius elbow, they are both plain end where they join and there is a sleeve inside the seam is hidden behind the bottom clamp. I think the chrome 6-5 reducer was Dynaflex too, and the clamps are Stainless wide band mounting clamps for a pete, I cut the brackets off my hangers and made my own to get the stacks where I wanted them.

  4. I talked to a dealer about a new truck, it was $168,000,on 72 mos. It was over $2600/ mo I couldn't do it. I paid $1826/ mo for my 04 Granite and thought it was ridiculous in 2006.
  5. Hasent somebody here gone to look at all the old Macks at this place in Wynne AR, called Witcher Auctions, they have a trailer there Id like to get some more info on if possible. heres the trailer, has anybody seen it or close enough to check it out on the way by? http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4587597
  6. Please post a pic of the housing and what you have dripping out.
  7. You have engine oil coming out of your air filter housing? Is this housing located above the engine? If so between gravity and suction down the intake pipe its nearly impossible. Can you post a pic of where the oil is coming from? A C series Cummins is an extremely reliable engine with great power to weight, good choice for a repower. I'm just lost on how oil could run uphill to an air filter housing with air trying to pull it into the engine. However if the housing is located below the turbo I can see where a seal may be bad and risidual oil ran down after shutoff maybe even a little during idle with high oil pressure.
  8. Does that truck have an aluminum frame bobo?
  9. Its made for an R series cab, they are offered as a 12" but I had them custom cut mine as a 9". I had to drill for some rubber nutserts to hold it on, its not that big a deal since I don't see me taking it off. Well unless I need to replace it with another one like it. 6 holes if I remember right 4 on the front and one on each side above the drip rail. The headlight bezels are a universal visored bezel from United Pacific you can get them from any chrome shop. Take one of your screws and get some new stainless screws 1/4" longer to put the new bezels on, they're a little deeper. You can get visors for the cab lights too, again made by United Pacific at any chrome shop. The grab handles on the side of the cowl on my truck are United Pacific too, they're also a universal fit item that fits right on a Mack. I could go on and on.
  10. Yeah if you could afford new it would be a Mack, I would change some of your specs there to make it more profitable and pedigreed. ID go with the MP7 and a Mack 18 spd or 310m, then ID have to have Mack rears and Camelback suspension. This way you get a gold dog on the hood and you drop some weight to keep your payload up. If you really want to talk payload ID do a granite Set forward quad with am MP7, Eaton 18spd and Mack 44000 rears on Camelback, add an 18' aluminum body and two steer tags with low pro 22.5's and you'll be around 25000 for a light weight and you can bridge 65000 or so that's a 20tn payload legal.
  11. 10-4 trucker, at least somebody else gets it.
  12. Mine are 6" x 96" miter cut stacks with tight radius 6" 90's sleeved in at the bottom and the 6" to 5" reducer is under the edge of the cab. I think they are dynaflex elbows. PM me you number and I'll call you when I get a minute and explain what you need.
  13. I was actually going to vote for the relay valve being bad, I've fixed this issue with one before. Do you have an application pressure gauge on the dash? If not get some fittings and a cheap air pressure gauge that goes to 120psi and plumb it into the activation line to the relay valve(one from the treddle). When applying foot pressure to the treddle you should be able to watch the guage and gradually build pressure from 0 up to about 90psi. If the gauge jumps up as soon as it starts to move the treddle is bad, if the treddle applys gradual easy to control pressure its the relay valve.
  14. Well I'll be damned, an MB that's trying to rust thru above the windshield on the drivers side, that never happens. Cool old truck there and that's right Vinny the Cat probably makes it one of a very few of its kind left in the world.
  15. How is the pedal pressure on your truck with a lype, I've never been in a cable clutch truck with one.
  16. Your probably doing 2600@ the wheels so your probably putting oround 3000 to the clutch in a dyno pull.
  17. I can get chrome RW stuff, just depends on what you want, I have my ways!
  18. OK, you had me nervous, did you swap to a different clutch? I have a clutch shop in Nashville that says they can rebuild my 1750 clutch to hold over 2500lb, I dont know about all that but they will do it and resurface my flywheel for $450 so I think Ill give em a try before I get into the turbo, injectors and manifold this winter.
  19. HMMMMMMM? 260" wheelbase F model tractor anybody? how about an F model motorhome?
  20. I cant tell is it a single axle? Swwet old F model for sure, wish the steering wheel was in better shape.
  21. Well crap Im in the trailer buying mood and your too far away, I would buy that truck for $4000 no problem, its a Superliner 1 with what a =ppears to be a solid cab, basic interior and a very reliable Cummins engine. I think you did great, I doubt I could sell it if I had under $4500 in it, it would have to eat a lot to make it onto my for sale list.
  22. Damn thats sweet, I keep noticing more cool toys in your shop, I now see a forklift too, I think Im gonna need to come hang with you for a few months to get some projects done with all those toys. I did some math a 4.17 would be a swwet gear for the 350, would keep it right around 1500@68mph, they seem to pull best @ 1600 and get better fuel mileage there than lugging, if your going to swap to low pro 24.5's go to 3.86/3.89 that puts you in the same place, Im going on a .74OD in the trans. Wheres the RW at, it sacares me to see"cant wait to get the rw back" makes me think something happerned to it and its just too nice a truck. Im sure Antrim will be happy to take care of that long time to get to speed issue too, just take it to em and drop it off for a week, Oh and leave a blank check of course.
  23. Ha, that's what most of the guys I've talked to say about em.
  24. The new poo spreaders with the Maxxforce 13 have Cummins emissions systems to get them to meet emissions standards and run more than a week at a time.
  25. Looks like a whole bunch of RD and DM800's from the satellite view there, I think I see two Superliner sleeper trucks too.
