  1. uh, yep not many CH dump trucks ever made from the factory, they wouldnt put anything over a 14,600 front and a 44k rear axle in em for years, I think a few years back they finally started letting you go up to a 16k or 18k front and whatever rear you want. The CH has a lighter frame than the RD too I cant remember specifics but its a pretty big jump to the RD690 frame from a CH613.
  2. I wonder if we could email Kristofferson and see if he would come to a truck show and sign the truck? how sweet would that be? maybe sign a plate on the passenger side dash like those custom built for plates.
  3. SWEEEEEET! I cant describe it any better.
  4. I was just sure someone would have commented on my "AIM" remark, does anybody else see that the Bulldog actually made it thru the fork in the tree unhurt, hes peeking thru in that last pic, I mean you gotta give that guy props he hit that tree DEAD center and let the bulldog live another day. Id keep that one on the shelf at home and tell the story of how he survived when people saw it.
  5. That green R is a lightweight chassis, only 8 lug wheels makes me wonder if they're hauling on 12k front and 34k rears, whew I couldn't do it.
  6. Like the smoke from the red one myself.
  7. Again, that is one helluva tree, and the drivers aim is impeccable I mean the bulldog probably shit all over the hood knowing he was gonna be the first one on scene to a serious wreck.
  8. Got a little more done today, here's a teaser of the new fenders. I'm gonna have to get a taller 5th whl to run em loaded but they'll look good bobtailing to the next two shows.
  9. Damn, how much to paint an 85 Superliner?
  10. 96, so VMAC 1 E7 400, you can get the rpm up a little but youll end up hurting the engine running over 2000 for long periods, change the rears out, you can find a set of takeout carriers for about $1000-$2000 and get whatever gearing you want. if my math is right 120kmh is about 75mph, how fast do you need to run or are you trying to get the rpm down running 120, Im guessing your running 4.42 gears topping out about 75mph, go to 4.17's and youll get about about 80mph or 130kmh and your rpm will drop to about 1850 @120kmh. I am assuming 2000rpm @ 120kmh with a 42" tall tire and a .74 OD.
  11. Yeah thats Cory's truck, the guys in the club all pitched in and bought the MH for him back in like 2008-09-10 something like that, that show must have been the 2011 show, that orange R model was Hoover Paving's lowboy tractor for probab ly 20 years and they replaced it with a freightliner, it has since sold to a third owner. Ill be at that show not this saturday but next and plan to get some pics.
  12. the truck was factory double frame, so I cut the outer frame in front of the suspension and moved that piece back with the trunnion so I only had to drill one rail then all I had to do was add a straight piece in the middle over the inner framerail, I havent gotten it done yet but thats all I need to do to finish the stretch, been busy and the matching frame is hard to find.
  13. Hmmm, a Four and a Quarter Mack would be neat to have. never heard that one before.
  14. I like the artwork, is it going to be on the back with a small left chest Watts Mack logo? Im not much on huge graphics on the front.
  15. I appreciate the thumbs up on the truck im trying to keep it clean and simple. Brutus, get with Bill or John @ Winrock Truck Parts, 800-676-0052. It took Bill a little while to get those valve covers but he found em.
  16. Looks great Pawel, I'm going to need you to build a model of my truck when you finish yours.
  17. Ya know I just realized you said the driver made $100k a year, that is about double what the highest paid driver I know makes. That just shows the difference in cost of living from the NY area to rural TN, I bought a 2090sq ft house on 23 acres for $230k, a co worker from NY sold his 3800sq ft house on 3 acres for over $750k. actually if you ran a dump truck hard here and paid the driver $100k you couldn't pay for your fuel and payment on a new truck.
  18. I have my Certified Dirty Idle sticker in my window anyway.
  19. A buddy just bought a two year old Thermo King for $1500, says its the best nbut I have no clue about them.
  20. Not being able to see the whole screen on the stereo is a pain for sure but I can't get into that fibeglass/epoxy work ID end up destroying the whole thing before it was over. The truck looks awesome, just simple add ons, not a lot of stuff hanging off it just a super clean Superliner.
  21. Sleepy is that an apu under the passenger door?
  22. Got my cab lights dun, got the interior back in with my new stereo and some decent speakers. I added some 1/8" x 3/4" aluminum strips to distribute the load so it doesn't crack any more. I decided I was tired of having an external speaker for my CB hanging around so I took it apart and did a little custom mounting in the center of my headliner.
  23. These are the OX Bodies that fall apart, they arent that great for heavy stuff but work fine for crushed stone and sand/asphalt work. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2955053
  24. those arent Coopers, theyre Roadmasters, read the fine print they are engineered by Cooper, I am running Bridgestone 11R24.5's up front and Toyo's out back, I know the cheap tires are tempting but they will dryrot faster than anything else the compound sucks. I am with some of the other guys, go to your local tire shops and tell them you are looking for some take off 11R24'5 steer tires if you can get some with 6+ 32nds for cheap go for it, tey will dry rot before you wear them out its just not worth it to buy a new tire for a truck that sits more than it runs there are guys pulling tires off everyday to get new ones to stay legal you can find some decent take offs. Hell someone on here may let you at ther next set of steers they pull if you put an add in the wanted section for used 11 R24.5 steer tires with 6/32nds or more. I got my drives used they all had 6+ 32nds and I paid $100 ea, cant beat that when I only run this Superliner 2000 miloes a year, now if I start running it on the road to work Ill go buy some new drives but not to sit.
