  1. look around Vinny there out there for cheap sometimes, I got most of my models for under $100 and about half under $50 on ebay.
  2. That turbo shouldnt cause any issue unless its bad, its still really small compared to a hot rod turbo, I looked into a turbo for a hot rod E6 4v and came up with a Borg Warner 171701, its a 71mm inducer and makes that 400 turbo look silly. Might need to get into the mid range adjustment on the pump and if its still got a puff limiter get rid of it, control the smoke with your foot. Actually just turning up the low rpm and midrange and removing the puff limiter will make a ton more torque, with a 400 turbo you should feel it pretty good.
  3. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ertl-RUBBER-DUCK-CONVOY-Mack-TRACTOR-TRUCK-Model-Car-Mountain-KIT-1-25-/380698589573?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item58a3677985 as usual Ray is spot on heres the link.
  4. hmmmm?
  5. can anybody make out the name of the shop in the background, I need to add it to my list of places to avoid.
  6. why make a bunch of $1 dollars, why not just go for 1 big score? lol, Ill be in Memphis and then Galloway tomorrow, do I need to keep an eye out so I dont get shot?
  7. neat find, yeah you can swap it to camelback, I actually had the right rear suspension and housings here until a couple months ago, just measure the inside width of your frame then go find a trunnion that matches(should be any dm,r,f or u of that era) and remove whats there sliding it all out the back and slide the trunnion in from the back and bolt it up, add crossmembers as needed not a real big deal.
  8. My 2011 freightliner is bad like that too you cant hardly see the engine for all the crap mounted on each side of it, I sure do like mechanical trucks!
  9. i see the pic of the under hood area but I dont see an engine, is it under the body?
  10. theres not much Mack left in that one is there? headlights are gone, grille is gone, roof is gone, I dont know what that is now.
  11. breaking stuff getting out, oh and then having to clean it back up when your done, I got a problem with driving dirty trucks, I break out in a rash.
  12. A crowbar for a credit card? well she wouldnt be much fun on a first date, or second!
  13. simple cure really......... dont get stuck!
  14. Im not hard to find I go home every day.
  15. Another day well spent!
  16. There were only 5 of those 4 door single axle r models factory built for FDNY hoping for more orders that never came as I recall.
  17. On a side note I would have a stroke if I saw work boots hovering above my hood.
  18. Go with a cable like on the 450, you can swap any.of the parts over from one to the other. The inline pump engine is going to have a different intake manifold to clear the pump and a different turbo outlet so your charge air piping will need to be adapted but its not hard to do. Just fyi you can put all these questions in one thread to keep them together it would make it easier since one leads to another.
  19. It should be the puff limiter pics help, at any rate get rid of it.
  20. Depends on s/n but its the same turbo on most of them from what I can find. The 95 would be set up with the charge air for a CL so depending on what you are putting it in you may need to swap some things. Now would be s good time for a turbo upgrade to keep your egt's down and get some more power if your gonna have to swap it anyway. Being a 95 E9 it should have the Bosch inline pump and the 89 450 may have an Ambac v pump if so the intake manifold is slightly different to fit the longer inline pump, with a little more info on your swap someone can get you pointed in the right direction.
  21. The south is full of old Macks still earning their keep, our climate is a little nicer to sheet metal than the northeast. Just take a drive from KY, down thru TN, MS,AL and into GA and if you run the back roads they are there working like they should.
  22. Neat old truck, yep, eye candy? Hmmm I think of something else when I think eye candy.
  23. Mike the western F is a 69 runs good and is not for sale, that's about all I could get out of him. I wonder if you could ever find the right bumper for that truck, sure would look better if the grille and bumper matched.
  24. Washed the dogs, did laundry, swept the house, went to an Idpa shoot then back to more laundry.
  25. 20 Frt 30 rear? Geez that's a heck of a single axle what are you planning to gross? A PX8 I'm guessing at 350hp so that makes it a Cummins 8.3 or 8.9 I can't remember anymore.
