every garbage truck I have seen with a dpf and that exhaust tip has been charred like that, I bet theres 50 running around mid tn that look that way, I have seen two that were "fixed" by their owners after Mack said they were ok and the intakes starteds to melt, they just put a tall stack on em to get the exhaust up to the cutout in the headache rack and bam fixed, supposedley they run better, cooler and no more charred paint near the exhaust. I hope they get it fixed for ya, seems this has come up here before.

Triaxle RD, steel wheels, 16' ox body and steel tanks, looking at 26,000# and that's if the bed isn't lined with 1/2" plate to haul shot rockif so figure 28,000#. Oh well momma always said life was like a box of chocolates, sum are good sum aren't and sum never should been made. I'm a proud supporter of natural selection.

Nice, I have been trying to pay attention since my 84 and most of the Hayward trucks that came east seem to be worse than the Macungie trucks.

Dead on, my 84 440hp made 22 stock, cranked the pump 10% it made 25-26, swapped the turbo for the 530hp euro turbo and got it up to about 28-30. I make 24 on my 85 450hp engine bobtail now but the pump is a little hot and I plan to swap injectors and turbo soon as above. (Got some injectors from Rays hot rod service)

It was a lot cheaper, I started trucking paying $1.25/gal or so now its creeping in on $5/gal and I'm just a pup. -
That B model dump is for sale price is $8500, I would have already bought it but I can use that money on the projects I've already got.

There was nobody home but compared to most f models I've seen it looked good, and it was only the second F700 I've ever seen.

Hmm I may have to start a TN Macks thread I've probably got a couple hundred pics already. I know of lots and lots of older Macks working around here, they just never seem to die. -

it sucks but ive had to run a bouncing truck before too just because it cost more money to keep fighting it thatn it was worth, I would make sure the balancer was right and maybe swap it out for 2 oz over and have them trued that will be your best shot at getting them smooth on your application. the MR guys I have always talked to aid they were bouncers I have never driven one so I have no idea but with htat much weight up front and no shocks it cant be easy to keep em smooth, you can get some shocks to put on it, surely there are p./ns out there for the mouning studs and shocks from another mr, or just make your own.

the galvanized cab was a Macungie thing in the early trucks, my 84 was a Hayward truck and had no galvanizing, they tend to rust quicker for sure.
