  1. hmm lets see.... 1-dunno 2-yep 3-dunno 4-dunno 5-other than the extra room, um......it has a kinda curved back wall? maybe? not really anything else I can think of.
  2. Vinny found another one, looks like it is Vinny and thats a K100 cabover back in the weeds behind the F models, might need to make a field trip to that place.
  3. http://www.tirebalancingbeads.com/sizing-chart/ heres counter actgs chart, the weights are the same for both, it shows 14oz for 425's, Id do 14 or 16 the guy I called at counteract told me goin up 2 ounces wont hurt anything since part of the balancers job is to control hop by moving with the tire.
  4. I have used Equal tire balancer in the past and had great results, now I use CounterAct tire balancer and it works even better, I use their chart and on a cheaper tire I will get a bag that is 2 ounces higher than recommended for that size tire, I think my front 11R24's called for 10oz but I went with 12 and they are SMOOOOOTH. I am a huge fan of truing a tire also, I had all the steer tires on the trucks up to this last set trued and between that and the balancer in the tires they ride great. thomastractorsvc I have always heard from tire guys that if you swap thte direction of a broken in steer tire you can break a belt and get a bounce, I was always told if I wanted to swap sides with steers to take em off the wheel and move them over running the same direction. macattack, youve been fighting this hop issue for a while, Id love to see you get it fixed but the odds are against you in a low cab forward garbage truck with heavy axles and spoke wheels, theres just a lot of weight and a lot of room for issues. I would try to true the tires you have on there now, make sure you have enough balancer in them either counteract or equal (use their chart), make sure they are running straight on the spoke hubs and then have them trued and see what you get.
  5. Ive been on the excavators from the 85C on up to a 370 and they were all hitachi parts, I think the largest newer Deere dozer I have been around was an 850 had Deere on the boxes, the deere track loader was all leibherr. I know they still make their backhoes, or theyre really good at disguising them anyway.
  6. Does Deere actually make anything other than backhoes, the excavators are Hitachis the dozers and track loaders are Leibherr don't know about the wheel loaders I've never had to work on one yet.
  7. Winnie cooper........damn flashbacks.
  8. Ha, true those 6.5's ain't much, of course I got a 6.7cummins 240hp in this Freightliner and it will barely pull itself up a hill my welder might be close.
  9. I love seeing those hot rod Superliners but I still can't help but think they took a nice truck off the road. So which one was strongest, killer?
  10. I would think real hard on trading my Superliner on that one.
  11. Take the bracket off the frame that will allow you to reinstall the spring. You will need to put the studs thru a piece of metal and put some nuts on as far as you can then pull the hanger out and slip something between the bracket and hanger( I use a long 1/4" bolt. Then reinstall on the truck after your bracket is snugged up pull up on the hanger till you can remove the bolt and release.
  12. Hey I resemble that remark!
  13. that would explain a lot for sure, and if you force them and snap the tip off then its in the cylinder to kill your engine next time you start it, crappy deal man.
  14. Not being too mean but, I dont know anybody else that has a generator that makes more HP than the truck its mounted on, that may be a record! LOL
  15. not, chicksandmacktrucks.com or hotgirlsnbigtrucks.com or my personal favorite ##@***#((****##.com (had to censor that one sorry)
  16. +1 for cleaning out the radiator and intercooler, also when was your last oil change and valve adjustment?
  17. Very true, I see lots of newer Mack's in the scrap yards already.
  18. that #2 being really wet might be your problem, and if they were out just last year they shouldnt be in there that tight already.
  19. I worked on a CSX tie gang replacing ties up the spur to Mt. Storm, that is one curvy track up that mountain, we were there for two weeks and it was in early October, it was in the 30's-40's and drizzling rain the whole time, I was soaked thru every day, seemed like it took me a week to get my body temp back right. The only plus is we stayed at the closest hotel that could handle the whole team and it was a ski resort that was purty nice compared to the usual railroad hotels. Oh and that last pic in the sand......................good god man!
  20. Ha, ok that was good there OD!
  21. Why go that fast down a hill?
  22. I never liked the feel of an air ride dump, and I've seen the aftermath of spreading rock on air ride, not pretty.
  23. I had a small TV and a fridge running otr for a while, I stayed out 2 weeks and home 2-4 days, I only used the TV when I was loading or unloading and bored the fridge kept me from paying truck stop food prices. I never really understood all the stuff some guys carry in their trucks, if your driving you can't use it and if your not driving you should be eating or resting so you can start driving again. Of course all the newer dot regs kinda leave you stranded away from home a couple days a week unless you get it just right.
  24. EastCoast, you can come hang with me and work on a truck two anyday. Um we just have to get you approved by my kids first!
