  1. Learn something everyday, it fits Mack would do that if anyone given their desire to be the best back in the hayday of trucking. I would try to swap it to a left and right as stated above so that it was easier and cheaper to rebuild in the future if needed. Good luck whatever you do and get pics on the road when yur done.
  2. That's the kind of thing that really ticks me off about clubs. I understand the noise I like to have a peaceful day to, however why not just go ask the person to please keep it to a minimum and let it go. I really doubt that the show was so small you couldn't find a place to talk and if asked nicely most people will say no problem, now if he just ignores them and acts like a dick then ask him to leave. I don't understand how that can warrant getting banned from a show and I hope he and anyone else he knows boycott the show in question just to prove a point. The ATHS club here locally is becoming such a pain to deal with their last truck and tractor show had 6 trucks, they have basically killed their own club.
  3. I want one of those if anybody has 2, I have one from 78 for the Superliner 1 but no post 85 brochure. Ray that looks like your truck in the second pic, and the White and green daycab has the same pint scheme my 84 did. Nice find.
  4. If hes willing to put up with employees hes a better man than I.
  5. Topless truck wash Dallas, bout 2000-2001!
  6. Both right hand thread? that seems odd to me if thats right you would have to drop one of the joints to adjust the front end I have always adjusted them by turning the tube with a pipe wrench one end right the other end left hand thread. I'd make sure it wasnt a right and left before you buy, seems odd one side would have fine thread and the other side coarse also I think you got one number wrong but crazier things have happened.
  7. Thats the easiest way right there, just need a dump control that will stay in the raise position to keep pressure going to the trailer while you run the neck, then the return line can just go straight to tank from the trailer, Dump systems or "single line wet kits" just return back thru the pump and suction line when you move the control to lower. The only real difference is the pressure settings, Rogers manufacturing sets dump pumps at 2500psi and two line lowboys at 3000psi but you wont ever notice just put the control in raise and idle the truck up to about 800-1000rpm and run the neck, most dump pumps are going to make 2500psi thru a 1" line under 1000rpm so going over is just going to open the relief and heat up your oil.
  8. Heres some p/n info for R models from the Euclid book.
  9. my cros reference book shows a 10QH38 listed for a FA532 side zerk 4.875" length, makes it an E-4607 Euclid for a curbside end. I cant find a reference for an FA535 or a 10QH347 in my Euclid book, what is the front axle rating? are you sure its not an FA536? are they fine or coarse thread?
  10. Should be faster, don't know how much you can load with it, I think the smallest hoe I ever got loaded with was a 320 CAT. I know the compact hoes are nice in tight areas and easy to transport so it definitely has its place.
  11. What are those things you dropped in the hole? Looks like they're squirming around better squish em. Or load em and haul em to Mexico.
  12. That 992 probably got put to pasture when they priced tires!
  13. A D9H that's a heavy old dozer, I've been around D8H's and K's but never a 9 that one looks like its in great shape.
  14. Everybody likes a clean beaver!
  15. Ahhh the beginning of the yard dog, Ottawa is the king now.
  16. Mmm, steam in blowby and white smoke = head gasket more than likely in an etech, if it was liner seals it wouldn't get in the cylinder just the oil pan.
  17. Used to be is it not listed on the website.
  18. having to stop to let it cool off i wonder if your fan is running, or your water pump is bad and it overheated and cracked a head. 9 out of 10 times a truck with a bad head gasket, oil cooler or liner seals will run for a while and they dont really get hotter than usual so it seems something else is going on and that lead to the water in oil. Im not there and I cant see or hear the truck but I would check the fan and water pump first for proper operation and then the oil cooler for water in oil. If it got hot due to a fan inop and the driver kept going and got it real hot in a pull it could have cracked a head and that could lead to water in oil, I dont see it as being a water pump issue since its pressurizing en ough to get water in the oil and it seems hard to believe that it was initially a liner or head gasket issue with the symptoms you are describing. basically we need more info.
  19. That White and Blue Superliner tri axle tractor is nice.
  20. Ha, I worked thru Charleston back in 2010 and thought that capitol building was just weird as hell where it was at. the Beaver in Beaver is pretty damn funny to me.
  21. Must be a low creeper!
  22. Im just wondering why its not working already, it should do fine and you can work on it little by little, let the truck make some money to pay for those parts.
  23. That red Superliner parts truck is a superliner 1 with all aluminium wheels and looks complete except the engine and crossmember, why is it still there? Actually where is it?
  24. That tan RW daycab is pretty nice, the guy that owns it is looking for a Tri axle Mack heavy haul tractor. Sorry you didn't have time to meet up for lunch, maybe next time. We definitely need more pics of the RW's together now that you have your parts back on it.
  25. You meant......always around when you don't want them, and never around when you do.
