  1. Should be a .68 od in the 2130 and a 1.1 in the Allison, what size drive tires and gear ratio does the truck have?
  2. Yeah the 4" has the old school Mack look, I just like the mellowed sound of the larger pipes.
  3. Oh and I use power service or Lucas fuel additive in my diesels every other fill up.
  4. Why put oil in a Detroit? Its just gonna leak back out!
  5. A little JB Weld and that last one would be good as new. The first pic looks like the European version from a scania cab over the exhaust outlet and trans aren't of the US, oh and there's a twin steer Volvo behind em.
  6. I have to say Mack Camelback is #1 it hasn't let me down yet, after that probably Hendrickson Haulmaxx its a very smooth riding rubber block walking beam , I hate to say it but I have heard good things from others about the t ride also but I've never tried it.
  7. Quincy Makes good compressors, Im kinda partial to Ingersoll Rand but some people dont want to pay the money, I had one that was 9 or 10 years old and had something like 3000hrs on it and it still did great, had to replace the engine twice but the compressor and tank were fine.
  8. Hmmm, 78 Trans Am huh? How bout a 79 Camaro?
  9. Mack, Blue Bird and several other manufacturers used Briggs and Stratton ignition switches back in the day. I was always told that Briggs was always the low bid on ignition switch sets. I was also told only about half of the OE's had their own logoed keys made and the rest (Mack, etc.) Used the Briggs key to keep the price per unit down.
  10. I work outside all day on equipment so I actually try not to use much AC, it just makes you feel worse to go back and forth. If I want to feel cool I just think about southern Iraq in june wearing body armor, it was in the 120's to 130's most of the time, saw over 140 a couple days.
  11. That's a killer look, I'm not sure id put the sleeper on it now that I've seen the side view. If I did id stretch it the length of the sleeper so I could get between the truck and trailer. Its gonna look good no matter how you finish it for sure.
  12. I say step it up to a 5 or 6" stack and let her sound all mellow, your already half way there.
  13. Um, well........Just Damn! I cant really sand the giant stacks in the bed of a pickup so that is just something I have no words to describe my feelings for.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiLkwp5E6Zs OK, click here to hear my truck!
  15. Just because he's a pic of my engine now, I still have a couple hoses to swap out but I'm close.
  16. In my experience any 1.5" lug nut cover is a pain to keep on, the plastic especially, I always add a dap of clear silicone to each side then slide it on and it stays put. The 33mm is for hub piloted wheels and will not fit over a stud piloted lug nut 1.5" equals around 38mm, as for the crew ons they work great but I have only ever seen them for hub piloted 33mm lugs.
  17. I would rather have my old F550 ext cab it had a 12' Summit body and a 7,000# hydraulic crane, it was a well thought out truck. The Freightliners were getting have utility bodies like the electric department just modified with a couple sets of drawers for tools, they are not set up well to work out of.
  18. Sounds like the battery solenoid isn't disconnecting, that or the wiring has been modified, you need to track that down and you'll fix your battery issues.
  19. Ha, sounds like me, I get a little into a project. The last thing I started was swapping my valve covers and that ended two days later after I repainted the charge air cooler, pipes, engine, steering shaft, re arranged the wiring and hoses over the engine and re painted all the brackets.
  20. I removed the puff limiters from both of mine, if you drive it like you should there's very little smoke. However if you crank the governor way up and remove the puff limiter and just roll into the throttle hard it'll smoke like an old freight train. Its neat!
  21. 56qt on most of them (both of mine) I actually haven't ever seen a truck with the small pan.
  22. How long did they sit out, looks like they are rusted pretty bad in the ports and combustion chambers.
  23. Its a good thing I'm broke I can see me spending a lot at that auction.
  24. The Superliner is lookin sweet with the chrome and visor back on it. I talked to Russo this week in Lavergne TN at the Mack dealer he said he got your MH frame to redo his RW. He says he's gonna holler at me on his next trip so we can get some pics of the two Superdogs together.
  25. I still no where there is a Cyclone and Typhoon hiding in the corner with less than 10k miles each. The same guy had a Cyclone with a built 4.3, custom grind cam and larger turbo, think it ran low 6's in the 1/8. I remember he beat my 95 Z28 and I was running 7.50's at around 95mph.
