  1. sound familiar? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r11HldiatPQ
  2. I counted 4 MH's in those pics alone, they may be dicks but I would have to go scope it out for pics if nothing else, theres no telling whats buried in the weeds back there if they have all those factory trucks and all the B models I see, could be a super rare turbine powered test unit in there somewhere, you never know.
  3. pm sent
  4. if its an automated manual like the M-Drive and the Eaton autoshift, its actually in gear just like your truck is now it just has shift solenoids and a computer telling them when to shift instead of you doing it, unless you push the buttons to shift it or hold a gear that is. if its an Allison it should put the torque converter in lockup as soon as the engine brake is enabled so its pretty good, not as good as a manual but if its all running right its hard to tell the difference.
  5. As I said the media's description of what happened bugs me, now someone dumb enough to actually get killed by a train on the tracks that's a different story I consider that thinning the heard. I mean come on seriously do we want that moron spreading their genetics?
  6. The current regulations did not force a MPG improvement, they actually went backwards the current regs were put in place to reduce co2 and particulate emissions, and MPG was sacrificed to meet those requirements. This is the same BS the railroads are going thru right now with PTC, the government set a timetable on regs they came up with then said here do it. The PTC equipment required to finish isn't even all invented yet but that doesn't bother Washington. One thing politicians are good at is making a rule others are required to follow then berating them when it can't be done in their arbitrary timeframe. The fact is they have no idea what it will cost the industry to meet these new regs and don't care they just want the tree hugger vote so they can stay in Washington longer. I say kick em all out and start over with term limits for all positions period.
  7. Dirty Pool Mister! funny as hell though!
  8. I havent seena yone note that Truck Fuel consumption was at its lowest point in history right before we had to go the the 04 Emissions standards, heavy diesel engines reached their peak right there and have been junk ever since. I just dont think you just cant change to a fuel with a third less BTU's, slap massive EGR on a diesel engine and make it run thru an exhaust filter that requires more power to equal the same rwhp, and for you to burn even more fuel to clean it and use less fuel therefore creating a better environment. The same crap over and over politicians dictating policy about something they know nothing about, I bet not one of them even knows what a BTU is let alone the fact that heavy trucks were getting in the 7's and low 8's for mpg before and then after jan 2010 they went to 4's for mpg " I dont know mr president we made the policy its the engine manufacturers fault it cant be done" I did the math using one of my old trucks and a friends new truck back in 2011 and guess what the old truck used less fuel per month to do the same job, so how is the new emissions technology better? And now they want the engine makers to get better emissions and use less fuel doing it, oh and let us not forget that means they will have to squeeze more out of a fuel that wont run an older Diesel for shit, I was trucking when the new ULSD fuel came out at the pump and saw my power and fuel mileage drop like a rock, I had to get another whole gear on hills and got over 1mpg less fuel mileage just due to the weaker fuel, might as well run em on water in my mind.
  9. Fitzgerald Truck Parts build Gliders in Crossville TN, they use new Reman Series 60 engines and eatone transmissions on new glider kits with new rears, they do em right too all the piping and wiring is perfect they look like theyre right out of the factory.
  10. You mean it has a Cat engine then, the Maxxforce 13/15 were Cat Acert engines with international designed massive egr systems. So really they were Cat engines painted blue.
  11. I love hearing the news talk about a train crash, they say " today a train struck a vehicle at a crossing" or "a train hit a vehicle" guess what the train can't swerve to hit you, they don't just come out of nowhere THEY'RE ON THE FREAKING TRACKS YOU MORONS! How bout a better headline like "today a vehicle pulled into the path of a train" or " today some moron stopped on the tracks and committed suicide "
  12. That's a railroad ballast deck bridge in the second pic, they build em off site and truck em in then place em with a big ass crane or two.
  13. Obviously what Washington says doesn't need to be based in reality, hell it can just be a plain old lie!
  14. I looked for my "puller" this afternoon to take a pic but I couldnt find it, its a 3/4" long 5/16 bolt welded to a 3" long 3/8" bolt that I put a socket over then put a nut on top and thread it down to pull the injector straight up.
  15. Thats Mike Ryans truck he runs the mountain this sunday I believe, he is the one that started the Chump Truck racing series, which is scheduled to begin next year, also ask Staxx hes building a Value Liner for the Chump Truck circuit. Plan is for me to haul his racing Mack to the track behind my Racing Mack, ok maybe mines not ra race truck but its definitely not stock! http://chumptruck.com/
  16. Ecm plug full of oil normally = bad sensor ask Staxx he can give you the low down on the trouble sensor plug.
  17. Dunno, never seen an RF! Lol, I have stupid fingers sometimes too, yeah the cowl and right front quarter along with the firewall are notched for the air intake pipe from the breather, that's it, actually if you take the cowl, firewall and right front quarter/kick panel off all the R, U, DM cabs are the same, same roof, doors, back wall, a pillars etc. The only other difference is shifter location depending on cab placement.
  18. Ha, I mean 676, I'm so tired!
  19. Vinny if we try we might be able to get you a set. What engine you got in there, endt 673?
  20. I don't know, these might be too shiny for me.
  21. Hope you dont think popular vote actually means anything in the presidential election, cause it dont your vote doesnt mean squat!
  22. The blonde kinda looks like her!......maybe not but its a nice tasteful pic! or tasty I cant get it right!
  23. Hey who cares which side of the fence she prefers, if your stuck there in the snow things happen! and later when you get back to civilization maybe she would bring a friend from the other side of the fence home for some show and tell!..........MMMM!...........I am a sick sick man! happily so!
  24. the front right firewall, cab corner is different , other than that its all in the bracing for the cab suspension, both share every panel but that right corner ,cowl, and firewall, oh hood mounts are different too but they bolt up in the same spots as I recall.
  25. Sounds like a RailRoad operator, finesse is not required reading for them. I would still go with the 410 just for the added front bucket size and lift capacity, the rear stick is 6" shorter on the SK than the 410 so you get more reach with the 410 and the breakout force is so close its negligable but the price tag scares some guys off, I think its about $10-20,000 more to go to the 410k from the 310SK depending on options. Of course I would think real long and hard about getting an extenda hoe too now that I ahve to work on em, they are nice to use but a pain to fix and when you get stretched way out g=with the 310Sk and the 410K you can actually damage the outer stick just trying to work it the hydraulics are so strong. I think my ideal Backhoe would be a 410K 4x4, QD front bucket, pilot controls, with a standard stick no extendahoe, that or a CAT430 spec'ed the same way. notice I didnt say cab and A/C, thats more crap to fix and more money to spend when the glass breaks. I wont say they arent nice but have only really wanted that cab about three or four times when it was really dusty or raining other than that I open the windows and turn the A/C off of course I learned on some old Case open cab 580E and 580 Super K's, mostly two wheel drive, the first 4x4 was the best thing I have ever seen I was in love, it was a Case 590 Super L 4x4, open cab but had extendahoe, it was top of the line then.
