  1. It makes the turns easier but if you actually go back and read the books your supposed to make your turns from the right hand lane always so nobody can come in on your right side like that, hate to say it but he was actually in the lane he was supposed to be. I completely understand the tight right turn stuff, I get in the right lane then at about the stop line swing back left to make the tight rights just to keep my right side clear of morons.
  2. wasnt done, oops! engine fan shouldnt run all the time either, seems you have a bad temp sender or A/C high pressure switch issue, does the fan go off if you turn the A/C off?
  3. you should be making more manifold pressure, like Staxx said check for leaks, you have some or your turbo she is a goin bad. The easiest is to get a spray bottle full of water with some dishwashing soap mixed in it and start the truck and use the cruise to set the idle at about 1000rpm then soak all the charge air connections and the intercooler with your water/soap mix, youll see bubbles somewhere, then all you gotta do is fix the leak, other than a possible bad injector or injector electrical signal issue that aughta fix your smoke and build more hp.
  4. its staked into the injector nozzle body it doesnt come out, or it shouldnt come out, the older ones had a machined lip that located the injector the Robert Bosch late models had the staked in ball bearing.
  5. Winrock ahs the boxes in stock used and a few new, PAI makes em now too including factory style stainless tops, you can get em all thru Winrock they are one of the oldest PAI Master dealers out there.
  6. Yeah if its a pilot control machine there is a switch on the side panel to go from wobble stick pattern to excavator pattern, I leave em on excavator I suck with a wobble. The pilot controls on the JD are veryu good and smooth, the CAT is about the same but the pilot controls arent as good on the CASE. The 310SJ?SK actually have a higher rating on breakout force on the rear than the 410 even though the 410 has higher hp and more weight. Big difference in the JD machines is the Hyd pumps, the 310J has a gear pump 28gpm, the 310SJ has a gear pump with a secondary stage that increases the flow to 36gpm when the rear is working but it stays on the 28 single stage for the front, the 410 has a variable piston pump that is higher quality and is single stage @43gpm i think, the 710 has a huge piston pump and makes like 56gpm. I wish them well if you jerk and snatch with that back boom something will break its just too strong but with pilot controls you can be extremely smooth and precise for a backhoe, I have a 2010 SJ Im gonna have to swap the pump on soon, its got around 4500hrs on it and its losing power on the low end up front, it wont idle the front bucket up you jhave to give it throttle to lift it, the back being piggybacked for extra flow is still working ok.
  7. Ha, yeah that might turn out bad, pull the injector line and the tube from the side of the head before hand so you dant have to replace that too.
  8. Ok guys I got someone looking for an endt piston and liner, anybody got one they would part with or know where to get one? Thanks
  9. If its that weak it needs to be rebuilt and or adjusted, they aren't the best but I could pretty much use the Jake on my E7 400 to stop the truck.
  10. Injector puller, threads into the injector then you turn the puller drawing the injector up into the cup. Or a bolt the right size and thread about 3/4" long to thread into the injector weldedto a long bolt pulled thru a big deep well socket with a nut on top to pull it.
  11. Yep shifter is wore out possibly the forks, I fixed the same problem in an RD not long ago
  12. Sweet, I wish I could find 8 good take off 11R24.5's for mine.
  13. Check the tire height of a 225/70r19.5, they'll be really close to a 17.5 heavy tire but run oh so much better. I only thought about it because a local farmer/excavator went from the 15's to 19.5's on his old lowboy and they fit fine since they have a short sidewall. Ford F450/550 comes with 225/70R19.5, most medium duty rollbacks have 245/70R19.5's and most big truck auto racks run 265/75R19.5's they are pretty good for reliability and capacity.
  14. I got two sets each of 30 and 36" long when I ordered a few months ago after they got em back in stock.
  15. I agree on the make your turn to the nearest lane then merge over if needed but I dont think anybody knows anything about it anymore. I still make my turns per the old CDL way, trucks make turns from the right turn lane going either direction if there are more than one, so if there are two left turn lanes I get in the right one so I dont swing into it making my turn but I see trucks every day turning in the left lane and they end up taking both just doesnt make sense to me.
  16. Cant be scared Vinny, I have Rattle snakes here I guess I dont mind I just watch my feet in the tall grass, the um "lawn mower" killed two last year while I was mowing my yard, granted I have about 5 acres mowed and woods behind and to the side of the house.
  17. I got a new old stock crossmember, new old stock carrier bearing mount, grab handle, carrier bearing and driveline section for under $500, you tell me about theyre pricing, Mack wanted closer to $800 for all but the driveline and $1200 for it.
  18. Superdog, Watts is cheaper than that and they advertise the set online, oh and I have the trucklite part number for them I got mine for $26 each and got the one center one from Mack $60.
  19. Here they is... http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_45&products_id=179&zenid=1ac875c1bc1293fc8e2d86eed146123c
  20. theyre in Watts R,DM,Superliner store online.
  21. 1/2" rubber, theyre some good mudflaps not cheap ones probably one of the heavier ones you can get.
  22. Like this....... http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4438785 http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3891685
  23. They do make left and right mudflaps, Watts has em justa phone call away, I have two more sets in the garage for my next project.
  24. Looking good Vinny, look around for an old single axle lowboy trailer like a Phelan, they are relatively cheap and would work well with that truck.
  25. I bet they have enough cabs to weld em together into a 5,000sq ft house! R cabs, DM cabs, RB cabs, CH cabs, CH sleeper cabs, they got em all, and you could use the hoods to roof it!
