  1. Looks great, and you weren't gonna put it on? ...........really?
  2. Winrock Truck Parts 800-676-0052 email- www.winrocktruckparts.com
  3. Well I spent a decent part of the day nosing around Winrock truck parts in Oliver Springs TN today and figured id make a post about it. I looked thru about 10 acres of the best kept secret in Mack Truck parts in the country. I found a tan dash speedo and tach panel for an r model, a few dozen Mack new old stock grilles and dash panels, a couple hundred Mack engines and transmissions, a KT450 Cummins and hoods for every Mack R series truck from the 60's to the 2000's. If anybody needs used Mack parts or Barry and the gang at Watts can't find a part you need call Winrock and ask for Bill, John or Casey, tell em you heard about them here. Oh and I have pics too!
  4. I know y'all ain't gonna believe this but................ Look what I found in the woods behind my house!
  5. The comforts of a nice newer Rawhide would be nice, but it would be hard to leave the Superliner parked if I hit the road again, I think they are addictive, they hold the road better than a CH, they are more responsive than a CH, they dont wobble around like a CH, and dont get me started on E9 power!
  6. $70+/hour, anything less is not worth it, just figure out what it will cost you to do, drivers? how much fuel(how far, what kind of truck etc) permits?, insurance, truck payments, you get the point.
  7. My Buddy pulls power only for Rexdon and has been hit twice in truck stops on 34 hr breaks and once on the road all by big company steering wheel holders, he has three cameras in his now, one on the windshield in to see what he sees, and one on each side looking down and back, I have seen some of the footage and it ticks me off pretty bad what trucking has come to.
  8. Not necessarily cheaper, those things can get real expensive, I had two Tamiya King Hauler kits and ended up selling both before I went overseas. I have wanted to get another one or two and use a Bruder Granite cab and build a Superliner cab and hood but I cant work on the real thing and the little ones thers not enough money in my check. http://gardentrucking.com/
  9. HUH? The RW and RD cabs are not the same, the breather location on the RD has the intake pipe going in thru a notch in the firewall and the hood, the RW came in thru a hood only notch the only cab difference was the added brackets on the inside of the kickpanel to hold the breather brackets.
  10. go with a jacobs engine brake and that exhaust brake and you would be REAL happy, most people think the exhaust flow slows with the engine brake on but it has the opposite effect it speeds up thats how you build boost with it on, theres not as much cylinder pressure when the intake valve opens so the pressure differential is such that you dont make as much boost but it helps.
  11. Wonder if I can get a GAU 8 on my truck? its almost as long as the truck when you count the ammo drum but something about 30mm 6690 grain HEI rounds firing at 68rounds a second makes me happy!
  12. HMMMMM? I can see hood mounted GE miniguns on the Superliner! Maybe a 240 on the roof in a remote turret?
  13. Yeah I used to go to a couple gas stations here and they had most maps of the central US by state and large city, now I get what I can where I can, I still like the DeLorme state atlas and gazeteers they have hiking trails in em even.
  14. I dont think those are the kind of pics for here............... now in the VIP area, IM IN, hell I might know her!
  15. Just one more reason working for the RailRoad is better than me trucking full time, Id kill that guy.
  16. Well I have had every engine brake on a Mack so far, the dynatard on an E6 aint much, the dynatard on an E9 aint much, the Jake on an E7 aint much same for an Etech, the Powerleash in the ASET engines is actually pretty good I would compare it to an M11 Cummins for sure it did a great job on my 04 Granite, ther MP series is a great nbrake for the engine sizze it is the best so far but not being true Mack engines I dunno I would have to go with an Aset Powerleash for the best true Mack brake. The Jake on an E6,E7 and Etech can be helped along quite a bit with the use of a high volume oil pump and a little tighter setting, on a 2000 D with a 350 Etech it probably added a third more brake horespower to the truck, I was very impressed. I still think the king of the hill engine brake is on an ISX Cummins they will flat put you in the dash if theyre right, but I would settle for a Mack 427 Etech with a Jake and a high volume oil pump for reliability.
  17. New non armored HET tractor yeah around 43,500, all wheel drive, rear wheel steer 700hp CAT Allison automatic they are probably purty nice but I like the old 8V92 500hp HETs just fine. I just don't like the idea of an Acert Cat having to get me out of a kill zone, hell they'll barely get you out of a TA without breaking down.
  18. Check your bolt pattern you may be able to bolt up 19.5's, they run truer longer and are easier to find.
  19. Two different names on the door, who you pulling for now, Landstar?
  20. Here's a single breather/stack truck.
  21. It all depends on what you get the contractors used to really, we wouldnt go where we knew a truck would get stuck or possibly get damaged so the contractors got used to taking care of the haul roads on the jobsites. Hauling shot rock and demolition debris is the roughest places we had to go and we got them trained pretty well a couple days into the jobs after we told em we couldnt back up to the piles until they got it straight so we didnt cut a tire or get stuck.
  22. sounds like a pressure issue in the back box shift solenoid to me, how do you know its out of gear?
  23. Bout time for some chains and pads there! Bet that would be fun in some mud, lol.
  24. Those 310SK/SJ's are heavy, they have plenty of power too, we have several 310SJ's at work, (35 i think) ours are 2010 models and have hydraulic thumbs on the rear and a clam shell front bucket on a quick attatch they are 19,100 supposedly. One thing about em if you grab something with them its coming to you, your not gonna slide to it like with a 580 Case. I like the 410 Deere a little better because of the wider stance and extra weight its not much but its probably another 600-800lbs it feels more stable but the power is really close on the 310S or the 410, gotta love the Deere pilot controls too, the only ones better is CAT.
  25. How bout an Armored High track D7 in Iraq?
