  6. i dont want to do it but looks like im going to have to sell my old dog.last week i went to work and got sent home because of weather.went to work this morning and there wasnt a piece of equipment left on the property.the cowardly people that i worked for sold all of the equipment or are in the process of it.the sad thing is my good friend (property owner) didnt have a clue about it. so hes trying to put leins on the equipment so they cant sell it without paying him what they owe him. now ive had to sign up on unemployment and try to find another job...joe the truck has 55k rears 7.49ratio 18 speed quad box trans and pedigreed reman 237 have a few spare parts bed is not in the best shape but has a new floor will sell for 3500
  7. RESPECT MOST KIDS NOW DAYS DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS MOST OF THEM DIDNT HAVE ANY RAISING. I HAVE A COUSIN THAT USED TO WHIP HER MOTHER AND SHE CAME TO LIVE WITH US AND TRIED IT ON MY MOM IT DIDNT WORK OUT TOO GOOD FOR HER. AFTER ME AND MY BROTHER GOT DONE BEATING HER BUTT MOM WHIPED ALL THREE OF US ME AND MY BROTHER GOT IT FOR WHIPING MY COUSIN AND SHE GOT IT FOR SLAPING AND CUSSING MY MOM. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT THOUGH JUST SEEING HER FACE WHEN THAT HEDGE BUSH LIMB WENT TO STRIPING HER. LOL THAT WAS A GOOD TIME IN LIFE.
  8. i still believe in that too. thats how i was raised im glad that my dad wore me out when i didnt mind or just plain wanted to show him i didnt have to. and im glad that him and mom didnt give me or my brother what ever we wanted that we had to work for or twords getting it.nothings quiet as rewarding as knowing that what you have you worked to earn it. (you take better care of it too). my son and daughter are verry protective about their stuff because they had to earn some of it .but my stepson is a little dif his grandpaw gave him everything and for the last 6 years he has had to get things by earning some of it (he didnt like it at first) but for the last couple of years hes coming around. he appreacites the things that are given to him a lot more than he used to (rewards). and im hoping that will do the same later in life when they have to work for a living like it has for me.
  9. thats the way it should be. but some times when your legs get cut out from under you its hard to do. but things are alot beter now that they know that i mean business when i tell them if they want something they have to work for it. it helps them be more responsible with what they have and they have more pride about what they have. or thats what i hope it does for them. it worked for me growing up i dont have much but i take pride in what i have and so far its rubbing off on the kids (teenagers) but i think they are going to blow their gaskets when they get their presents for christmas. me and the wife have bought them all atvs. and they didnt have to earn them there not new but they will beat walking if they are responsable enough with them and we think they are.
  10. ifin it aint got no pictures my brain dont have capicity to asorbe no more than 2 or 3 pages of reading material.
  11. ill agree with you rob ive been in that situation before with my current wife. the boy dont want to do anything but what he wants to do which is nothing but that dont work when im arround the wife tried the agreeing with him a couple of times and she didnt like the results when they were out of the house kicking rocks down the road. when they realized that i aint kidding when i tell him to do something everything works a lot better arround the house and she aint so quick to agree with him anymore. my kids have to work here and so does he if they want anything from me.
  12. dang and i thought my x was a pain in the butt for getting credit cards on me after we got divorced.
  13. have you ever tried a pic studio they can prob do it ive seen some dvds that have been done but they dont have sound. if you were to get the chance to go next year i think you would love it with the skyboxes above the stands its like sitting in a barrel. when the top fuel/funnycars leave the line it shakes your whole body..
  14. i think the hotrod reunion is going to be in august in 2012. thunder valley is about a hour and a half from me its only 94 miles from my driveway to copperhead road entrance. i usualy go every year one of my best friends is real close to waren/kurt johnson and he takes pics for dragracing online mag.so i usualy get free tickets..
  15. ive been planing to go to the hotrod reunion i bowlingreen but like most other things i plan its fell through for the last 2 years.
  16. nice 55 reminds me of my old 55 i used to race. i miss that car it had a tube chasis that me,my dad and 3 family friends built because it was diferent everyone else had a 67/69 camaro,or nova, with a few dragsters where we used to race. i won my first race in that car. then the next race i won was in my dads dragster the first time i ever drove it. then i went stupid and sold the 55 and bought a dragster not a bad trade off ive won alot with the dragster but i still miss the 55 it was my first competitive car.
  17. i think it might be i know it was past central city. he lived in beaver dam
  18. i know the feeling first hand. i was just siting on the couch with my wife one day and all the sudden startrd hearing electrical arc and seeing smoke coming from behind the cabinet. thought it was the plug outlet but it was the power strip. ive been a fire fighter for 20 years and seen many dif types of structure fires. some set on purpose some not. all of the training in the world dont prepare you for your own home/family emergency. but when i calmed down i went into fighting mode and went to doing what needed to be done. if i hadnt been home the outcome prob(more than likely ) would of been diferent because i was suposed to be at work but the owners started rotating workers to cut cost and try not to lay anyone off. im just glad it was my turn to be off that day. joe
  19. rob you could do a mack up with the v10 and trans after all mack did it back in the day puting dodge engines in the old trucks. it would be a prety reliable unit with the newer engine. at least you wouldnt have to worry about seting/sanding the points all the time. joe
  20. rob that just aint rite. but verrrrrrrrrrrrry funny. good thing she didnt aim at your face
  21. have you guys seen the video on youtube with the guy unloading the d9 and the truck rolling away with him
  22. its the 575a they are huge peabody used to have one in western ky. my father inlaw has pics of a c65 mechanics truck pulled along side of it and you would still have to step up from the sides of the tool bed to get on the tracks. i cant remember the name of the mines but they had alot of shovels there too.
  23. thats a turkey hunter call
