  1. I think WOT had an article on centerpoint steering not too long ago. I guess it means when you turn the wheel, you're not trying to lift the entire front of the truck. My '74 FS has centerpoint.
  2. Welcome aboard! That's a good looking RD you got there.
  3. That is immaculate. I didn't know there was such a thing as a clean Cruiseliner interior left anywhere.
  4. Very nice for a 13 letter *you know what* spreader
  5. Wow. That would have been a hard landing on a 44 camelback. Well, hardER. Glad to hear the guy and his son are okay, though. Chalk that up to another case of having to share the road with a multitude of knuckle draggin' retards.
  6. That's a nice load of history you have there. At first I thought that was an old 673 that was missing its injector pump, then I noticed the distributor and the carb. I never realized how much the old gassers look like the diesels. Were they based on the same block?
  7. I've built a couple of this guy's kits. They're a little pricey for 1/50 scale, but they're pretty high quality. The pre built ones are about twice what a kit costs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-50-Mack-LMWS-M-Tractor-Rogers-wobble-Ready-Made-Resin-Model-by-Dan-Models-/261243230344?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item3cd34f5888
  8. Glad to hear it sounds like things are working in his favor. I'll say a prayer for y'all.
  9. I like the truck number on the hitch plate.
  10. Okay, thanks, Mark. Was it a 5 speed Mack box?
  11. Are we talking wheel or track loaders? This little machine still earns its keep around here.
  12. Love the old Brockways. There's still one that runs through here, I think he's out of Missouri. Black, R model cab, huge sleeper, and I think he pulls a flatbed. I've seen him on I55 as far north as Sikeston and as far south as Helena, AR several times. No pics though. Got a stupid question: What does Huskidrive mean?
  13. Growing up, my dad had a tractor identical to that one. Looking back, it probably wasn't that great of a machine but I liked it. Probably just didn't know any better. I always liked the straight D3 better than a B series though...
  14. I think it depends on what size floats you're running. I may be wrong, but I think a 315 float will go on the same rim as an 11r22.5, but I know a 425 or 445 needs a wider wheel. As for there being any difference in the hub, no, there shouldn't be.
  15. I rebuilt an old Miller tilt top low boy that had been converted to pintle hitch last fall and it pulls my 943 great, but I think I bent a spindle dragging this 215 around. If my trailer had axles it'd be ok, but all it has is walking beams with spindles welded to it.
  16. Duplex or 6 speed?
  17. Good U/C, pins and bushings tight. I just bought this machine with the intended purpose of it sitting at my dirt pit and loading dirt. I've since been trying to take it out and work it on other jobs, and it's a little big for my tag trailer at 36,000 lbs. Make an offer.
  18. That's a fine looking little workhorse you got there. I may have a truck with budds here before long and I'd rather have spokes. I'm not too far north from you if you may want to do an even swap on some hubs and rims?
  19. A buddy of mine saw one on an Arkansas yard sale page on facebook the other day. It was either an A or B model, I'm pretty sure, and they wanted like $650 for it. I thought that was ridiculously cheap.
  20. Just trade the old Vision in on a big ole DM and start dump trucking!
  21. I almost went up there last year to run a vac truck. Dang good money, but the whole man camp thing freaked me out a little bit. Plus, I'd be driving a brand new KW. If it had been a wore out R model, I'd probably be a lot farther north right now.
