  1. Just in case anybody's interested, we called about the Rossi RD's. They bought ten, only used five, and have cranked these every month since new. Recently repainted, and they're asking $82,500 per truck and trailer unit. I don't think they're interested in seperating trucks and trailers. It's a little out of my price range, but if I was in the market for a new truck, it would be a no brainer between a manual pump RD or a computer nightmare Volvo cousin for twice the money!
  2. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4338347 How on earth does a company afford to buy a truck, keep it and never use it for 17 years, then sell it? If it's for real, that's a pretty sweet find though. I wonder what they're asking?
  3. I'm sure you can get her going. In '07 I drug home a '73 DM that had last been tagged in '87. Had to cut down a 6'' dia. tree growing up through the fender. I ran the fuel line up into a plastic tank in the cab, cracked the injector lines at the pump, and drug it a time or two around the shop until we had fuel. Tightened them down, and other than the turbo being seized, she ran pretty good!
  4. Man, oh man. If only I had the cash. That is one gorgeous truck, my friend. I'm sure you won't have any problems selling it.
  5. Do you have rubber or bronze trunnion bushings? Are you sure you have 44s now or do you think they're 38s?
  6. If it makes you feel any better, 4.8 is all I can get out of my RD... What do you average when you're running hard?
  7. He always has been and always will be one of my favorites. RIP Possum!
  8. Looks good... My dad and I are working on getting his 44A series D6B back up in operating shape. The only difference I see are our steering clutches come out of the floor, where yours are in the dash. Just like an old Mack truck... you can't beat an old Cat!
  9. Lookin' good, Al!
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. Yep, I had the same thing happen on an '87 R model and a '95 DM. The first time it happened I thought I was going crazy!
  12. Those look like International tanks to me.. Like what would have been used on a Fleetstar. Don't hold me to that, but I'm pretty sure they aren't factory. Being from the eighties, it should have the round step tanks, right? Nice looking truck, though! That interior is super clean... Most of the R models with tan interior I've seen have been dogged out completely.
  13. That's awesome. What were the specs on these trucks?
  14. It's funny you mention that, I read this this morning. It happened in TN and I thought zombies may have been involved....http://wreg.com/2013/04/18/police-man-bites-off-chunck-of-victims-face/
  15. Been there, done that! It definitely sucks!
  16. That's sad.
  17. Mark, I've always wondered... do you shift all the way through the aux for every one gear in the main, or is it the other way around?
  18. Man, I didn't get to make it. I sure hate it too. How big a turn out did y'all have?
  19. Thank y'all for the F model pics... they're slowly replacing B models as being my favorite old Mack. Mike, is that brown '76 the one you were talking to me about swapping my '66 for?
  20. That black B 73 may be the most gorgeous truck I've ever seen. I wonder what ever became of it?
  21. You stole it at $1,800! I'm glad you got it, man. That's gonna clean up nice and be a fun project.
  22. I've got the same setup in my '96 RD but with an airshift power divider. Do you think my divider would bolt up in place of an automatic?
  23. Definitely looks better with the dogs!
  24. I never thought about that... I bet light bridges are alot more common up there in the hills than we've got down here in the delta flatlands...
