  1. Please be true, please be true... We need kscarbell to chime in on this one.
  2. Track loaders are my favorite machines. I've never run anything bigger than a 943, though. I bet that '63 is a hoss.
  3. Yep, and it appears that a 237=E7 350, a 300=E7 350, and an E7 350=427 or 460.
  4. That's a fine looking truck! I sure hope you find it.
  5. I don't believe that's a 44K camelback.
  6. I thought you were joking about that, but sadly, you weren't...
  7. That's one of my youtube all time favorites right there. Gorgeous truck.
  8. That's probably not a bad little truck for the age, but I feel like they're asking about twice what it's worth. $14,000 per year insurance? Yikes. I'm 27, I've got two tickets on my record, been trucking for myself for 3 years, and around $2500 a year is all I've ever had to pay for full coverage with $1,000,000.00 liability. I had Progressive once upon a time, but now I'm with Sagamore. Probably not as good a company but affordable.

  10. Gotta love that stretched out hood!
  11. That's a good looking truck, my friend. I'll always have a soft spot for side winders. I didn't realize there was direct and overdrive 2 stick 6 speeds, but it makes alot of sense. My old R model had a 2 stick 6 speed and 4.17 rears, and would run 70 mph. My old DM with a 2 stick 6 speed and 4.64 rears would only do 55-60. It must have been a direct and the R model must have been overdrive. You learn something new everyday!
  12. Yep. I see where this is going.
  13. Prayers headed your way, my friend. Hope all is well soon.
  14. That's a clean old truck. What's the specs?
  15. Welcome aboard! A U model is basically a light duty DM. Vinny's kind of infatuated with them. I'd like to see some pics of that guy's DM's. Are they DM800's?
  16. I've heard from some old timers that those things would freeze your right ear off. LOL
  17. It was running around Baton Rouge about 4 or 5 years ago. It hauled rock to our job in Port Allen. I haven't been down that way since we finished up.
  18. unfortunately, I think that's the case just about everywhere... Have you ever seen the purple and gold KW T800 triaxle that's all decked out in LSU and says geaux truck geaux! on it? I'm not a non Mack fan, but I got a kick out of that one!
  19. Wasn't it originally just a railroad bridge and the added the traffic lanes kind of like shelves hanging off the sides? I can't remember if I'm thinking about the one in NOLA or B.R.
  20. When I worked in Louisiana, we had a short hood 359 lowboy truck, an extended hood 359 lowboy truck, a short hood 379 dump trailer rig, and an extended hood 379 that would switch hit from lowboy to dump trailer. Both the 359's were good looking trucks, as was the extended hood 379, but the short hood 379 was pretty ugly. I can't really tell them from 378's.
  21. Yep, that bridge was scary in a pickup. I can imagine what it'd be like in a pickup. I was an operator a few years ago for a company that built Cajun Contractors' Marine yard on the Intercoastal Canal right across the river from you in Port Allen. It sure does get hot down there in y'all's neck of the woods. Lol It was a fun job though.
  22. Welcome aboard!
