  2. You are right on Mark! I think that Brock would look a lot better with the Mack F-Glass visor! esp. with those cab lights BULLHUSK
  3. Ya think you'll be sittin in a Titan 25 to 30 years from now? We'll prob be haulin em to the scrap yard with our Superliners and R's an B's BULLHUSK
  4. Can someone send that picture over to the Volvo people and show them what a real truck looks like!! BULLHUSK
  5. My 361 Brockway has a Super 250 now the Cummins book says it came with 2 hp ratings 250 an 270 mine is a 250, now is it pos. to turn the PT pump up without takin it off of the motor? If so can anyone out there help me out on how I can put more fuel to this old Husky? I just can't take it on the hills anymore! I know it's runnin lean cause it don't smoke, I mean It looks like it's runnin on LNG! I did an in frame on it last year and the pump looks new Thanks BULLHUSK
  6. Guys, I'm lookin for an engine scanner for Cat Accert engines nothin but a scanner that can tell me what to look for when a code comes up and what the code is. I have one that I bought from Cat about 7 years ago when I bought these junks, but you guessed it!! It don't work anymore and Cat don't want to know nothin about it!! i know they have these readers now that will do the same think for about half of the 2500 that the Cat scanner cost! any help ?? Thank YOU BULLHUSK
  7. Before Detroit sold to DB I was in Detroit at there factory tour and the rumor was goin around about Penske selling, and they said that Detroit did not have the big money that they needed to keep up with the new emissions so they might have to sell or get out of the engine business!! I do not like our American co's sellin out, but what choice does the DEP give these company's today? Just look at Cat International (Maxforce) and Pacar's new motor? It looks to me like the only new motor out there doing well is the new Detroit's! I'm just happy as a clam at high tide that Volvo didn't get there hands on Detroit cause the Series 60 woulda went out with the babys bath water and we would be stuck with some MMMMM so somethin!! Is it not sad that these euro co's come over here and bleed our American companys dry and shut them down!! Terex, Fruehauf trailer just to name a few! these were great American companys! Today only one co in the US makes a freakin Bulldozer! Gone are IH, AC,Terex guess where they all went!! SAD BUT TRUE!!! BULLHUSK
  8. I THINK THE 2 360'S were done by a fellow named Byron Hoppkins I don't know if I spelled his last name right but it's close. The man is the best in the busn. The tilt nose was done by Richie Zigmont another job well done! BULLHUSK
  9. I think the red U360 V12 is Grimms truck, I think it was once owned by Ray Lucia from Lucia Lumber in MA. Sorry guys but even as few RL700L's with a V12 like the one I got, I would give it up in a minute for one of those Brockway V12's! Esp a 762 BULLHUSK
  10. Thats a sharp truck right! I'm told by Paul P that Dane Baldwin bought that truck (orig. a 761) and the prv. owner made a 760 tilt hood by movin the front axel foward and havin the fenders on the hood moved up to make it a 760 tilt nose! Brockway never had a 760 with a fiberglass tilt nose so It's a first! and a dam nice one at that! (I'm told that Dane did most of the work on it to make it to what it is today!) BULLHUSK
  11. It's A truck show!! Mrs Lubner! we some times have noise! OMG I hope I meet the dead line on the noise before I finish my R with the V-12!!! LOL BULLHUSK PS I think I'll park next to the guy with the Astro And we'll both hold our foot to the floor
  12. Those flat head Mopars with the duel carbs, esp. that big inline 413 had brute force ! The Dodge Job Rated trucks were good trucks and they sure were built to do the job! BULLHUSK I guess ya can tell I'm a Mopar fan LOL
  13. Thanks Vinster I just loves that blue 762 with the V12 I think thats one of Grimms trucks and boy he does have some nice Brockways! I wanted to go this year but with JR. down for a couple a weeks an the cement tankers rollin 7 days a week for the next 4 months I'm stuck in JC! GOOD PIC'S KEEP EM COMMIN!! BULLHUSK
  14. I think what cat has done is they basically stood still and went backwards! as far as there engines go anyway! I think what they should have done 10 years ago is build a motor from the bottom up, and I don't think they did that. When I look at there Accert Motor, Ya know the one thats all apart on the floor of my garage with less then 450000 on it that exploded!!! It's a 3406! Was the 3406 a good motor years ago?? Yes it was and as much as I hate these new ones ,I do have a Mech. 3406 with about 800000 mi on it! They had a good engine years ago and just keep adding to it instead of just building a whole new motor like Detroit did during the Roger P days, thats just my opinion since I'm not a Cat guy BULLHUSK
  15. Jeez Mike I musta missed this one with all the P,S an C goin on in my life the past 3 or 4 weeks! I wish you the best and a speedy recovery! BULLHUSK
  16. Associated Transport off of Delancy St in Nwk NJ had one if those
  17. 220, I called and spoke to Ron yesterday,I'm gonna try and get out there as soon as him and I work out a day and time. I would be interested in buyin the 3 units as I could alway use another tank and flat bed, I'm not crazy about the K/W but it would be something I could put right out to work as it has the blower on it! He said it is not a G/D blower? what the heck would it be? Maybe a Roots or a Drum ?? BULLHUSK
  18. Ernie JR is home and resting! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! Your support from post's sent to me these past couple a weeks both from this site as well as the guys over on the Brockway side have helped me hold it together! Again both me and my son and the Delli Santi family say Thank You Thank You Thank You for all of your help and prayers! BULLHUSK
  19. 84, So far the best thing I have done is build a W-Star 4900 rolling glider, I put a non EGR 575 hp 1800 fp torque 14L Detroit Reman motor in with a OO 13 and 4.10 rears (the rears are factory new) the truck is getting close to 7mpg! and pulls like a Mack! (I had ta say that) I'm gettin another one and doin the same thing! All in it was just under 100G's, thats about 30 to 40 less then a new one! You just need the time and the men to do it but once you've done your first one your gonna want ta do another BULLHUSK
  20. I own about 18 Freightliners, stay away from the Columbia, and the Cascadia's they are nightmares to work on!! Most of mine are Classic's with Detroit Diesels I would not own another engine cause of the product support Detroit gives you! Now I don't own any but I would like to try a Coronado some of the guys I talk to like em, the last 3 trucks that I have bought have been Western Stars with 14 and 15 Liter Detroit's in them. So far the W-Stars have been working out good except for the M/T weight, they are HEAVY MOTHER'S!! But are built like the old R- Macks and the old A-Cars and they are very E/Z trucks to work on and parts for both trucks are are reasonable and won't put ya otta buzz. like a K-Worth or a P-B (but are also good trucks) The Dealer I use in PA Horwith and the Detroit guys in Jersey both take care of my needs when the Sh_t hits the fan and cover just about all Wr-Tee work without any BS like the Cat guys do. The only wiring prob's I ever had was with my Pete's none with my F-Shakers, the only truck that I had to sell was the W900 Kenworth with that 8 bag air ride! That one the dash did fall out of!! LOL NO KIDDIN!! One rough riddin truck! My guys loved it untill they drove it! My 1988 R- Mack E-350 T2090 4.64 Mack rears with Rayco works every day still makin me money to pay for the new ones! Good Luck cause none a the new stuff is without sin thats for sure! BULLHUSK
  21. It's all good Mike I just needed a Good laugh!! LOL
