  1. Vinny show your PaPa some of these, I, also like the 65,66,an 67 Mopar's!! I have a nice 65 Coronet 500 drop-top 426 Wedge 4-speed (stock) it needs total resto. The one in the trailer was a Coronet 440 with a 273 V-8 but IT's gonna have a big big HEMI in It's new life!
  2. I have a C-12 and an older 3406-c 350 mech. motor they just run an run with no prob.! All we do is change oil an filters an send them back to work!! BULLHUSK
  3. I think I'm gonna take a look at this B81, the town that It's in is only 12mi from me on RT22 ! If It's who I think it is, he's got a lot of other stuff in his yard! What the heck is Line-X?? I've never seen the stuff Ernie DS
  4. Are you sure It's not in your garage??......LOL BULLHUSK
  5. Mark, I was told by an old timer that par-boilin takes the flavor out of chicken and or ribs, he told me if you want to pre cook food like chicken or sausage or ribs, just put them in the oven first an then grill em-up!! I take chicken parts and put them in a baking pan, then add Italian dressing and let it sit in the frig overnight, then before I grill it I cover the pan tight with alm. foil add liuid smoke put it in the oven @350 for about 45min to an hour, take the chicken out of the pan and start grillin it...About 5min before you want to take it off the grill I put the BBQ sauce on and brown it up a little! Just DO-NOT use the dressing in the pan unless you boil it, it should be ok from being in the oven, but I wouldn't take a chance. I also do a lot in the smoker, but when you don't have a lot of time, the oven is the way to go! Good Luck Ernie DS
  6. Take the rack out and let them cook in there own juice. This is what I do, I use a good maple syrup and coat the rib's then I put garlic, and a good rub, Famous Daves or Bone Suckin rub is good and a lot of brown sugar. I let them sit overnight in the frig. then i put them in a oven pan (something with high sides) and add liquid smoke, I then cover the pan tight with alu. foil, pre heat oven @300 and cook for about 2.5 to 3 hrs. (dep. on how many racks your cookin) Now, as soon as you pull them out of the oven you have to take them out of the juice or they will tast greasy! I then let them cool down, then I take the juice and pour it into a countainer and put it either on the side or in the freezer for about a half hour or so, this way the grease will come to the top and you can scrape it off and throw it away or keep it to coat your grill burners when you put the grill away for the winter. Then add the drippings to your favorite BBQ sauce. I use KC original and just put a large bottle in a pot and add a little beer and stir in the drippings at a low heat (if you think the sauce is too thin, just add some tomato paste) Then I put the BBQ sauce on the rib's and finish them off on the grill BULLHUSK

  11. The truck's I'm talkin about were H model Macks, I guess it was around 1964 or 65? I was about 10 or 11 years old, helping my Dad in the garage. I would say the one was early 60's but the other one a little higher and had round fenders with the headlights mounted on top, also we timed them from the flywheel and not from the front; so from my guess the motors were from the early 50's to mid 60'?? BULLHUSK
  12. If the 673 has the older crank, the one with the hollow rod journal's I would not! My dad turboed a couple back in the 60's and thay all broke the cranks, but when we changed them over to the newer style we had no more prob. also do not put to much fuel to them unless you have a block that you could put the piston oil cooler's in. Other then that I do not see a prob. just make a nice 205hp out of it, I'm going to turbo my Super 250 Cummin's and make it a 290, also puttin a Pyro in won't hurt good luck!! BULLHUSK
  13. I think it's goin over to Buddy the cake boss over there in Hobin-a-bokin for mixin cake batter!!
  14. HEY JUST ONE MINUTE HERE!! That was one of the first things I told my wife about myself just before I married her ! BULLHUSK
  15. Cat runs away from there A-Cert motor warr. like a guy that just dropped a hand grenade after pullin the pin!! and the one's I have are gutless fuel burning pig's!! I would rather have a 8V-92 then another 475 3406-A-Cert!! BULLHUSK
  16. Over in NJ we had thousands of them! Roselle, the garbage guy must have had over 100 of them with 25 yd Leach packer bodies, my cousin had an MB-400 tandem with a 20 yd Leach, it had a Mack 465 with a TRD-77 dup. (no balls) Plus I think it was Carolina Freightway had a bunch!!! BULLHUSK
  17. I sure hope the people in this country wise up before It' too late!! Over here in Jersey, our tax's are going down and unemployment has gone down with Rep. Chris Christe in office
  18. That is why I changed over to another truck back in 1993, I had 6 R600's and one RW613 Superliner. I changed every Ambec fuel pumps on the R's two or three times because of brass in the bottom and pump would quit, and I put three T2090 trans. in my RW ,after breaking the main shaft 3X's they changed the top cover and told me they made the shifting forks stronger!!!! water pump, fan clutchs and no help from Mack, not one red cent!!! I like the Mack, It's the people that run Mack, thats the thing!!! Freightliner and Detroit Diesel always try there best to cover my stuff even if it is off wrt. they will some time just cover the parts!!! But again, I still love Macks and Brockway!!! but I gotta keep my wheels turnin! BULLHUSK
  19. Well lets all hope that in Nov. 2012 we could post this.... OBAMA HIT'S THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE!!! AND WE HAVE A NEW PRESIDENT WHAT A VERY GOOD TIME IT IS !!!!!!! BULLHUSK
  20. Going with my Dad on the weekend's back in the 1960's up into the Pa. coal region to work on some of his customers truck's, they were mostly all Mack's and Brock's!! My Dad was a Wiz on gas motors, and there were a lot of them still around back then and some of the diesel mechanic's would get stumped with distributor timing and plug's, point's, wires and stuff like that!..... Well my point is that the Pennsylvania coal region was a bustling industry back then, with coal jockys and big dozers and loaders all over the place!! We would stop for lunch at the bars and he would have a couple of beer's and a sandwich (I would always get a fountain soda mixed with syrup an seltzer) don't see that anymore! that sandwich could feed 3 people!! I would talk to the coal miners and listen to them tell me stories of there working in the mines and some of them telling stories from the (old country)!!! everyone was makin a little money and everyone was nice !! What a time it was!!! Well last week I was at the Freightliner dealer in Pa. with my Brock 361 dump truck, some older gentleman pulls up in a pick up truck and starts lookin at the 361. So just as I get ready to leave the man started to tell me about the Brockway's and Mack's and even the K-series International's that he would (coal jocky with) drive back in the day!! So I asked him how life was treating him? Well at 86 he was running for parts and stuff for a local guy in the area and just keeping busy. I went on to tell him about how I remembered the Pa. coal days as a kid....Well I could not beleave what he told me about Pa and Wv.coal ind. He told me that most coal miners are outa work!!! are you kidding me!! He told me that in the last 3 years have not been kind to the coal Ind in Pa or Wv. He told me that the people up state are havin a tough time and but are still nice, and that the new gas drilling has helped, but that most of the permits that were delt out a few years ago are all just about done and that the new guys in Washington want to stop the hyd fracking, soooo no new permits!!! I don't know if things are as bad as he said they are, but I'm sure some of you guys on the site that live up in that area would know? What a Time it Is !!! BULLHUSK
  21. I will be there on Sat. but I also might go on Fri. also. I don't know if I'll bring the 361 dump just yet, but if I could register the truck after workin her on Fri afternoon I will bring it, does anyone know if you could do It that way?? Thanks BULLHUSK
