  1. Why don't he start with own office and congress? And by the way find a new job czar Jeff Emeltdown from GE ain't cuttin IT!!!
  2. Paul, I was always a big fan of Del Star myself, what a freaken shame!! Well let me just point out 2 of about 1,000 or more stupid things that are going on here! #1 How many millions of these new light bulbs that the Gov is forcing on us have Mercury in them?? ALL OF THEM!!! Just what do you think the Land Fills will look like in 10 years?? Anyone see a major EPA clean up in our future? #2 why don't they take all of our waste oil and start pumping it back into the old dry oil wells in Texas an PA?? Lets just start those old pumps up an start pumping the used oil back into the ground an in 20 years we'll have enough oil for the next 100 years, It's below our water table Is It not?? BULLHUSK
  3. Good luck with her Joe!! The inside was a little rough but not so bad. I like the fact that it has a 15 speed trany an a heavy front end! This would make a very nice dump truck! Alex and his wife are good people; again good luck with the truck an keep us posted on the progress!! Ernie DS
  4. Joe D, Did you buy that 758 with the Mack cab out of Franklyn Precast? I used to Del to that place sometimes an always saw that truck in the garage, it had on of those shake an bake mixers on her. They alway took good care of that truck an he always wanted me to buy it when he put his stationary mixer in , but I always liked the long nose trucks! Ithink It even had the org. Brockway mirrors on it! Ernie DS BULLHUSK

SO Kearny, Western-Electric (every telephone mfg. east of the Miss.) Coca Cola bottling So Kearny, Dupont Kearny, Pabst Blue Ribbon Nwk. GE NWK, Ballentine Beer Nwk. Kruger Beer Nwk. Mack Truck So Plainfield an Somervile, an the list goes on & on an that's just in the area I grew up in!! Were in the HELL did all of those jobs go?? So GOD BLESS Mack Truck in PA,an let's all keep buyin Macks!! And of course restore every Brockway that we can get our hands on!!....BULLHUSK
  9. Paul, I remember those Macks,I was raised one town over from the 3 ringer! After the Macks they bought Chevy 'Viking Series' trucks for there P&D work an when they got done with them they took out the stright 6 motors an trans. an retro fit them into there Bulldog chain drives that they used as switchers an loaders. After the Chevys Ballantine bought White Compacts with (Perkins Diesels from England) an thay also bought all new White 9000 I think? or 4000's. an then they closed down in the early 70's. Ballentines was a nice place for us young guys back then to work part time, esp, in the summer! The thing that I remember most of course, was the TAP ROOM, thats were you took your beer breaks! It was a long bar, an at the center was a great big beer keg coming out of the wall with a tap on the bottom, Back then the drinking age in Jersey was 18, and, you could go there after you were done an drink all day an night for free, but you couldn't take any out of the Tap Room. Well I'm sorry for goin on an on about nothing but, You touched on some good times!! A now I'm 57 year old an I can't get a free beer no way no how!! LOL Ernie DS
  10. Grant, That was awesome news! Who would have thought someone down/under with big Cat motors were running LNG trucks! Look I know It's gona cost aome $$$$$ to convert or find a motor (LG ready) an plop it into the 93 Pete that I want to do this with, but it just might just be worth a shot? Right now I'm doing a lot of Cement hauling into upper western PA were they are drilling and fracking for Natural Gas, an I was thinking of sending a letter off to one of these big guys (International Corp's) who are the General Contractors, an to see if they would be intrested in sending me a NG Demo. tractor to use an to monitor over a years time, an see just how the NG powered truck does alongside the diesel powered tractor? Hey It's worth a shot, all they can do is aay NO! BULLHUSK
  11. Mark, Just think? there's a couple of guys out there that are tired of lookin at those same ones every night!! Ya think they would share with us Americam fellows over here in the USA
  12. One of my friends from the Brockway site has a very low hour complete gen set for sale with a 3412 Cat engine for power. If anyone would like to talk to him, just email me an I will send your email address over to him. ernie67rt@aol.com PS It's in Jersey Ernie DS
  13. rob, yes I'm sure thats what I saw on the series 60-DD Ernie DS
  14. ThaddeusW, I think the one that I saw had a magneto plug wires an spark plugs, It's been some time ago, but I could swear the engine was retroed with big spark plugs an a mag.? I'll call my Detroit rep tomorrow an ask him, maybe thats the way the first ones were?
  15. hatcity, The bus has the fuel tanks mounted in the roof. the mpg. I'm told is better then diesel, but I don't have any info on paper about it. One of the bus drivers I talked to said the RPM are quicker an the power is better then the diesel power, again this is one driver an also we are talking about a bus and an automatic trans! Has anyone out there driven a truck or bus powered NG veh.
  16. I've been thinking about converting one of my older 12.7 Detroit's to Natural gas, I've kicking this around now for about a year or so? I got a chance to look at a NJTA NG powered bus one day an got to thinkin why not? It burns clean, and I don't think we would need all of this new EPA stuff on the motor, and it is cheaper then diesel, we have enough of it in our Country for the next 300 years! So i guess the big question is.....Why are we not pushing for this? So I turn to you guys on the site for your thoughts an ideas an anything else that comes to mind. BULLHUSK
  17. Or, how about this; 'Sorry sir the TD does not come with a sleeper buuutttt.... I could sell you a Volvo with a sleeper!
  18. Clifton, This sounds like rob's cup of tea!!
  19. WOW Thats great!!! But I don't need a whole one, can you sell me half a whole?
  20. I've run the 11R22.5's on my Cement Tankers, an none of them lasted!! all had side wall seperation (the cords inside would distort an knock the tire out of round), I also had them on my service truck, with the same results! Yet there are some guys out there that love em! BULLHUSK
