A nice Chrysler 361 or 413 would have been a better gas motor for a truck that size, but then again I'm a Mopar or Nocar kinda Guy!! LOL BULLHUSK

Not yet Superdog, but if ya come across any in your travels, CALL MEEEEE!!! LOL Thanks Ernie DS -
WE do not need to tell you what happened 10 years ago today. You know. You may no longer recall the times of the attacks, what countries the hijackers came from, or how many people were killed in Manhattan, Arlington, Va., an on a field near Shanksville Pa. But you will never forget where you were when you heard, or the outpouring of grief that followed. and if you are like many people in New Jersey, you believe the events changed you. Forever..... Even if you did not know anyone that died. I copied this paragraph above, from the front page of todays, Sunday Star - Ledger, It was the first paragraph from a full page written by Mary JO Patterson, who wrote the first Star-Ledger story on the 9/11 attacks 10 years ago today. It was just something I thought I would share with you guys today. The World Trade Center Towers were about 1 mile across NY Harbour from my garage in Jersey City NJ. It was the most beautiful site to see every day an night. I didn't see anything on the site today about it so I figured I'd break the Ice. As for anyone who who may have lost a friend or a loved one? My God give you the strength to get through your sorrow an to bless your family an friends. Ernie an Family

That was geat!! Thats just what I'm talkin about with this guy!! never mind what country you think he may have been born in?? what the hell planet is he from?? As far as the coal miners an the teamsters an the AF-l-cio goes the members have to stand up to leaders an ask them who the HELL'S side are you on?? But the other side of the coin is, when they send you all of that Union voting stuff in the mail? Just send it back to them return postage due, thats what I do!! an then when it comes time to vote, be your own self an vote for who YOU think is the right one, NOT who some big shot tells you is the best guy for the job!! Paul, Local 282 was the Union that Colonial Sand & Stone had in NYC an all thruogh LI years back, I worked on the Jersey side (Newark NJ) A fellow by the name of Bobby Sasso was the was the stewart in NY then became a Buss. Agent for 282, I heard he had some trouble years back but I always thought he was a stand up guy! I could remember drivin into W30th street under the West Side Hwy. Colonial had a concrete plant there or any of there NY plants, we would have to pull to the side untill every 282 truck loaded befor we did! It was a very different world over there! We didn't even have to put water in our over head tanks! the batch (loader) did it from up top!! those were good times an I only wish those days were back again! Ernie DS

41, I'm with you 110%!! an as far as Hoffa goes? Well let me say this; I've been a Teamster since July of 1971 that makes me a 40 year member in good standing, which I think is more years then Hoffa Jr.has in?..I personally have absolutely no use for the man!! How could this guy go on TV an stand beheind Obama?? When the guy hasn't even created 1 job?? We need a guy in charge of the Teamsters that has no political agenda no Rep. or Dem. These leaders should not tell members who they should vote for, an they should never use Drive or members money to do so!! Just be honest with us! Ask us; 'well are you better off now then you were 4 years ago??' Be your own man or women an vote for who you think should be president not who your Teamster Pres. or what ever Union pres. tells you to vote for! Thats just my opinion but if I was the Teamster Pres. I would never tell a member who to vote for.

We got the 12-71 running yesterday! an so far so good, even with the half/ass injectors!... Stephen Lucarino one of my friends from the Brockway site has been workin on the motor all week an it wasn't an E/Z job to say the least!! someone put a lot of money into this motor but did not complete the job. There were some rack parts missing an frozen injectors, the oil pan was left bolted with about 4 bolts an needed a new gasket an so on. We pressure tested the block last Tuesday an all is well, me an Steve checked the bottom end an the bearings had very little if any wear on them. Well once we got the injectors bled down an she caught the fuel...O-MG What A sweet sound that was commin out of our garage on Friday!! Very little smoke, only when you cracked it she would throw smoke! Then we let her idle for a little to see if she would build up any oil out of the blower tubes, but they stayed clean so that was a good sign also. So now I guess I'm gona pull the 80ml injectors out an put in N70's, Stephen is going to check with his dad an see if he's got a couple of turbos an we will be on our way to haulin some Portland Cement!! We took videos with sound an as soon as my son gets his ass over here I'll have it for you guys BULLHUSK

All of the Chrysler dealers that the Fed's closed down after the bail/out, were all dealers that gave to the Republican party, an thats a fact!! Now just think about that for a minute??? The Federal Gov. comes into your business (an a lot of these Dealers were family mom an pop people private owned) an says your out!! Now what the hell did these poor people have to do with Chrysler woes? Now why in GOD'S name would you close dealerships (these are the people selling the cars) when they are not costing Chrysler any money?? an just how many jobs do you think were lost when they closed?? parts guys, cleaning , sales, an the list goes on!! Obama an his crew are the biggest bunch of A-holes I have ever seen in my hole life so far! Obama fed us a bunch of lies the other night, an again, for him to try an sell the made in America an keep American workers working?? well look around at Gibson, Boeing, the coal ind. an the car dealers that they closed an talk to the people down at the Gulf Coast, just how many drilling rigs did this idiot send on ther way to other Countries again costing Americans there jobs an at the same time sending So. America Billions of our tax money for oil exploration!! Obama is in the tank for someone.. an it sure aint us the American workin people! An don't forget when the price of Gas went above $3.00 a gal when G.W was pres. the news ABC NBC CBS all reported how bad it was for us, an it was all because of Bush an his oil buddies!! But now when the price of gas was over $5.00 in some parts of the Country with Obama in office.. those same news people (except for Fox) said that it was good for the Country because now it gives us an incentive to find alt. fuels!! Oh an by the way..Gibson backed the Republican party.. do I see a pattern here?? BULLHUSK

Thank You David,! I turned the T/V on just to see what this B/S artest had to say, but when I seen the camera on Jeff A-Meltdown from GE sitting with the Pres. wife I said O-MG are you kidding me!! It's all a bunch of lies Gentleman!! This so/called leader of the free world,(whats left of it) gets on National T/V an is tryin to sell us a 6 for a 9. tellin the House an Congress to vote Now!! Now!! an then he's goin to tell us in the next couple of weeks how we are going to pay for it???? How freakin stupid does he think we are!! Come Nov. of 2012 we have to put a stop to this madddddnesssss caus we are sinkin fast!! Don't forget if we send GE's Aircraft Engine div. over there, that means we also have to share our Tec. secrets with them (thats part of there doin business with them deal) it's all not good fellows!! OVER AN OUT, BULLHUSK

Boy that is UGLY!!..... The only sad part about that thing?? He could prob. still get parts for it an I can't get parts for my R700!!! BULLHUSK
-
Rob I wonder why the post didn't seperate yours from mine? I'm still tryin to get used to the new set-up!!! sorry Ernie
-
Don't know how that happened!! Ernie DS

Skip, I have not talked to him other then when I met with him last week. I would not pay more then 2,000. for the truck, the only thing worth the money is the hood, an thats only about 60%, some cab parts, an the motor core!! The frame is scrap, thr rears are 44,000 rubber bushed with 20in Dayton open wheels!! I even think 2,000, is top dollar for this truck, but I think Rob could use some of the cab ext. parts. The frame I would scrap, sell the rears, use the front brakes (mine don't have any") an try an recapture some of my money! The seller said that he would call me an give me a chance to counter offer,.. but I'm not countin on that! BULLHUSK

Superdog, Glen Winters, the man that I bought my truck from told me the same thing that you just posted; He said that there were 4 tractors built 2 RL's an 2 Rs's the other RL700 that he has, which is a 72 the preious owner repowered with a E9-500 Mack V8, an the blue one I see often at the truck shows out here in the Jersey NY. area. Now how a bout the RL700L with the sleeper that Mack used in there advertising about the owner operator with the V12 powered tractor? was that just a show an go thing? Thanks For your Help!! BULLHUSK
-
Like a new Volvo!!! Now thats funny!! LMAO... Good to see you made it back safe!! Will we be seenin you an your truck in any new movies?? BULLHUSK
-
bobo, The best used truck you'll ever own is the one your drivin!! Keep her, an just start puttin the new truck payment in the bank every month, at the end of the year you'll have a nice piece of change! BULLHUSK
-
Skip from Australia asked me how rare the R700's with the V12's were? I realy didn't have an answer. He said that there where 0 in his Country, now I've been told about 100 different answers,2-4-8-12 24- 6 on the W-coast 4 on the E-coast!! Do any of you Mack guys out there have any answers? The owner of the truck that I looked at last week told me that it was the only one with a steel frame built in CA.?! Now I find that hard to believe! Thank You, BULLHUSK
-
If you look under RL700L pics you will see us unloading the tractor from the drop/deck.I am not sure how many were built with V12's, but I have been told that there only 3 or 4 RL700L's built, but I can't confirm that. I would ask some of you Mack Guru's on the site, would you guys know how many R700's were built with the V12-71's? I have seen only one out here, an that would be the blue one they call the 'Dirty Dozen' an it is one nice tractor!! BULLHUSK
-
Skip, It's realy to far gone, an I bought one back in March of this year for less then a third of his price!! The engine in in real good condition an the cab only has rust beheind the cab by the doors, an mine has the alum. frame (untouched) an the alum. doors which I always thought was a true Western Mack BULLHUSK
