Just the facts printed on the Brockway web site, if you look at the Brockway proto-type tractor it looks just like a Superliner! I'm sure Mack did make some changes, but the fact is Mack had no truck on the drawing boards that looked like this one. An with all the R&D that Brockway put into this design? Mack was not going to scrap the idea. So AGAIN this is what the guys who worked at Brockway at that time tell us, the fact is Mack stole the idea from Brockway. An again I'm a Mack guy as well as a Brockway guy, but I agree with the Brockway guys on this one. BULLHUSK

WOW!! what nice stuff!! I hope my RL700L looks as good as those! As much as I like a 762 Brockway V12: I still think the R700's are nicer trucks, I like em even more then the Superliner's. The R model Mack is all Mack where-as the Superliner started as a Brockway. Didn't a guy by the name of 'BoneCrusher' drive one an the brother drive the other one?? did they fire that guy or did I miss something?? I used to love the sound of those Provan Mac's & Brock's!! Also Roadway back in the mid to late 60's had a bunch of them (R700 318's) Macks based out of the Kearny NJ Term. The co that I worked for in 1971 (Colonial S&S) had CCC's with R700 cab & hood built on there I-beam frames also with 318 Detroits they were real good trucks! they pulled great an rode great an they could fly! Question guys; On the RL700 that I just bought, I was lookin at the rears (Mack) an the Page & Page suspension (4.56) I may want too put an air ride setup with 40K Eatons (4.11) from a wrecked Pete that I have, in it's place. I want to do this only because I feel it would be a little easier on the alm. frame, an on my back. Ok my question is should I use this set up or look for a Mack air with Mack rears (cut/off)? Mark, I went out to Nazareth PA to load for tomorrow morning so I don't have get up @ 2am to load in the morning!! Anyway I think I'm gonna do the '66' Brockway 260 that I bought in Feb; first. That truck will be a lot less work, all i have to do is pull the nose off an pressure-wash an maybe sand blast the frame. Then I have to take the cab loose an POR the bottom side of the cab, replace the mounts an re-bolt er down. The inside & outside of the cab on the Brock. is in X/L condition just a little rust under the back an thats it! the doors are all good an rust free as well as the interior of the cab! So I hope I could do it all before Fall comes an save the RL for A winter project,we'll see what happens, we are fightin the cost of fuel also, even with the sur-charge It's killin us!!! an nobody in Washington is speaking out on the price of oil?? We been busy with haulin cement from PA to NY state for these drilling co's (natural gas) they pump it into the fracks after they extract the gas out, so they got me back on the road 3or 4 days a week. Anyway I been usin this 07 Classic I bought with A 515 Detroit an a 18 speed 4.11's WOW what a MONSTER!! she's got 130,000 on her when I bought it off the F-Liner dealer (Horwith) in Northampton PA. The funny thing is....I never drive the new ones I just give em to my guys an say 'heres your new truck now go make us both lunch money!' I still use my 93 Pete 378 with A 450 series 60 DD that I bought new from Cambria Mack/Pete I did the whole truck over about two years ago motor trans. & rears an painted it up she's still a real good runner! The mans name is Gary Maham (not sure if i spelled his last name cor.) he lives in Millington NJ.I have been to his place a few times. I think he has 4 big pole barns full of trucks!! mostly Mack's but he does have a nice 360 Brockway with A 1693 thats showroom!! he also has an old Pete (late 40's) in the same shape an I think he has a few A-Cars as well. Where's the birth cert.?? how come we send troops an planes, million dollar missles, to protect there oil fields, spend BILLIONS YES BILLIONS to rebuild Iraq an we are gettin humped over here? Trump said the other day; Let's take over the oil fields in Iraq an pay the USA all of those BILLIONS of dollars back an at the same time get the price of oil down to $25 per BR.!!! He also said if these Countries like Saudi Arabia Kuait an all of those other places over there that have short memories want our Military protection?? Well then they have to pay for it!! I mean It's not that they're short on CASH!! Now how about China, OK he said how the hell are you gonna create more jobs here in the US if there all going to China an Mexico?? So he said put a 25% import tax on all imports from China to even things up. I hope he does run for President, I'll vote fo him, for one thing he's not one of those Washington boys!!
