  1. Alot of people don't realize all of the models there are, and think all of them are B61's Terry
  2. With a 35 year truck it would be hard to tell what all has been updated with the air lines, but would a 35 year old truck even have original plastic lines, most trucks that old ran copper didn't they. terry
  3. It is not just a bolt in job, unless you are familiar with a mack power divider it is hard to explain, the outer cam of the power divider has to be changed and it is held in with a large nut and you have to lock up the shaft to get the proper torque. And when you take the power divider assy. out you have to be careful and don't damage the shims for the ring and pinion, and yes the air divider is longer and drive line has to be shortened. terry
  4. Isn't the main shaft in that the same as a 5 or 6 speed? I think the main boxes are all alike. Terry
  5. Each set on either side are wired in series to make the two 6's into 12 volt, just put in a heavy duty 12 volt battery and hook the posts up to the cables that run out of the battery box the same way. terry
  6. With a double disc pull clutch you will have to figure out how to make your linkage pull the throughout bearing instead of pushing, like the single disc clutch does. terry
  7. Denny check your PM's i have a brand new pair of tan ones, left and right door panels. Never installed. terry

  11. I have two brand new left and right door panels for the beige interior, can you use them? terry
  12. If the headlight panels are off a B73 they are narrower than a regular B61 panel, the B73 has a wider radiator than a b61, you could put the whole front off a B73, but the hood has to be completely redone. terry
  13. Very, very nice truck! ! Terry
  14. Rob the TRDL 1070 is a overdrive tranny, there was also a TRDL107 which is a direct tranny,to use all the gears start out in 1st in the main box and direct in the back one, then shift to overdrive, then 2nd in the main and direct in the back one, then in to overdrive and so on up through the gears! And i am almost positive the top main cover on a 5 spd. will work on that tranny. the main cases are the same and i think the back one is too. just different gearing in the back box. Terry
  15. I think i would start at 4,000 and go from there, you can always go up if you think it is worth it. Pretty hard to go back down! Terry
  16. I was told the heavy axles out of a DM mack can be used in the CH, but measure from center bolt to center bolt to be sure. terry
  17. Looks like an awful straight truck to chop down! Terry

  22. I owned a DM with a 285 turned up and a 12 spd. overdrive with 4.17 rears, absolutly the best combo i ever drove. you could not believe the trucks i could outrun. But it sure liked the fuel if you kept your foot in it. terry
