    Vin:

I could'nt agree more! i'm not much of a "computer person" and as i have previously stated,i came to this site looking for info on a specific truck, boy, look what that turned into! i truly enjoy reading post both serious and not. And all the people i've met on here that i consider friends even though i have only met a handfull in person, and personally,i would'nt trade the fellowship on here for anything! sure there are posts on here that are of no interest to me,i just don't effin' read them- period! but when i have a serious question,i always get an answer, when i feel i can add something i do! if you can't take the occaisional "ribbing" off color joke,a titty now and then well maybe this is'nt the place for you! i think there are a great bunch of people associated with this site, and many of us share a common interest,Mack trucks? sure, but the jokes, pictures, peoples stories (the people themselves) are worth the price of admission in my humble opinion. show me another site where you can get the timing sequence for a 1963 ENDT-673 on one page and see some big boobs on another? i say don't change a thing, its just like TV,if you don't like the program, change the channel,or better yet, turn it off and read a book!................................Mark
  5. Just ordered the Chemical Leaman set for what i'm working on now, should be nice!.......Have you ever seen that small decal sheet, the one with all the B-model variants,Mack scripts, filter decals, bulldogs etc? cant seem to track one down, everyone i talk to that has one, says "Oh,i bought it on Ebay" never where or who from? any ideas? you know the one i mean?................Mark
  6. Never had much luck with the wimmins, even as a youngster, guess i was fortunate to find my wife, she says we're perfect for each-other,as we are the only people we can stand, and at this point no one else would have anything to do with either one of us!..........................Mark

Anybody heard anything out of Chuck (Bigen)? been a long time since i seen him on here, was just wondering how he was making out......................Mark
  8. Nah! you did'nt miss anything,i drove both a KW and a peterbilt nothing to write home about!....................................Mark
  9. Watched the video, what a great B-model! just about perfect from what i can see,and indeed a" treasure" personally,i'd like to know a little more about its Jersey history.....................Mark
  10. Personally i am glad to see younger people interested in our hobby, and i think a more "pro-active" means is what works,"take a kid to a car show" comes to mind, and take the time to explain things,i believe there are young truck enthusiasts out there, that just don't know where to go with it. I do a "walkaround" my truck at my son's school every year, try to explain some of the safety of driving around trucks, blindspots, stopping distances etc. (mostly for mom and dad) the kids are always amazed at whats "in" the truck, that i actually sleep in there, have a fridge, microwave,TV etc. most have never been anywhere near a big truck, but i truly believe they come away with a better understanding of whats its like to drive a truck.I also stress the importance of education, and all the "school skills" it takes ,even to drive a truck, reading, math, geography, etc. it can be a bit of challenge when i open the floor to questions however!.............................Mark
  11. I have tried Sourkraut a bunch of times, seems everything i want is "out of stock" and has been for several years..........on the otherhand i just ordered a set of decals from Jerry, and could'nt be happier with them, hopefully i'll be able to post the finished project, provided i ever get the TIME to finish it!..................................Mark
  12. Paul,i like that paint scheme too,but i always thought that was the "seminole" design?................................................Mark
  13. Thanks guys! i thought some of you might get a kick out of that,i am going to email my buddies wife, and see if she as any pictures (i know she took some that day) i don't have any myself,i was just so glad to be home, get my hearing back, and thaw out my hands to worry about pictures!,but now in hindsight i wish a had taken some, especially knowing the circumstances!................................Mark
  14. Its a "DC" series,Autocar had a complicated numerical system, and built so many specialized trucks, its hard to narrow it down to a specific model. And as far as the year,my guess is mid to late sixties, evidenced by the "Autocar Diesel" badge on the side of the hood, later models just had the word "AUTOCAR" in script.................Mark
  15. Just goes to show there are still a few human beings left in the world...............................Mark
  16. For shame! a PACCAR? anybody but you! LOL!...............................Mark
  17. Now thats a nice truck! i am glad to see one still used for its intended purpose,i can remember a time when R-models ruled the world puling both flats and dump trailers in New Jersey!..........................................Mark
  18. Nice looking build! where'd you get the decals for the filters on the engine? thats really something!....................................Mark
  19. I have both,plus the WHITE "Road-Commode" cabover,why,i don't know!................Mark
  20. Would'nt be the craziest thing i ever did, thats for sure! a dear friend of mine (now deceased,he had terminal cancer) had long dreamed of his own B-model,so his wife surprized him (and me) with the purchase, only problem was the truck was in New Haven,CT we were in New Jersey. So i was "talked into" going to to get the truck as a suprize, but how? hell,i'll DRIVE it back! she took me up there, along with all the tools, parts etc. we could carry, granted the truck was roadworthy (barely) but after cleaning terminals, changing fuel filter, new batteries, and airing up one steer tire,i was on my way! (did i mention it was january and it was missing the pass. side window?) so after mapping my route (pre GPS) to stay on as many backroads and lesser highways as possible, off i went with my buddies wife right behind me,this was a 1965 B-61 tandem tractor that had once been a dumptruck,ENDT- 673,Duplex,lemme tell ya' i give them ol' timers all the credit in the world! this thing beat the living shit outta' me all the way home! and really the only trouble i had (mechanically) was a leaking wheel seal, which was easily fixed.Long story short,we got home just about dark,i drove right up to my pals house, pulled the rope on the horn,he came outside,as i was backing in the driveway,he says" where'd ya' get such a great truck, and why are you bringing it here?"i says "Pal this is YOUR truck" i'm just the delivery man! if i live to be 100,i'll never see a happier face in my life! he had it just about done before he passed, and asked that his son keep the truck, and finish restoring it,but that never happened,he (his son) sold the truck for dope money, never to be seen again!...but i am so glad it was enjoyed while he had it,and love to tell the story of how it got to Jersey with the little part i played in it,i loved every minute of it! prolly not the smartest thing i ever did,but i never got so many "thumbs up" in my life! and would'nt trade the memory for anything! and all that was left to do was mail the owners plate back to him!...............................................John W. Creamer 1940-1997 R.I.P my friend!...........................................Mark

  24. AMEN! everbody i meet down here asks me if thats what the Jersey shore is really like,NOOO! having spent many a summer down at Wildwood,Ocean city, even AC once in awhile, not at all like that! when i was i kid either! and i agree NONE of those people are from Jersey, their all from NYC,LI,even CT i think Jersey would / should be ashamed of them and what there doing to the image of the shore!.....................................Mark
  25. I remember it well Ernie,i delivered labels out of Philadelphia there a few times in the short time i worked for APA...........i read somewhere weird NJ maybe? that they were going to try and save it from the scrapyard..................Mark
