  1. I collect em' have well over a thousand toy trucks (no kidding) and it is a good idea to list them either on your homeowners policy,or get seperate "collectable" insurance which is what i did. I've been collecting trucks since i was i kid, still have the very first Tonka i got for my first Christmas, although it is due for a restoration at some point if i ever get the time. First Gear makes some damn fine trucks! i have most variants of both Macks and Brockways,i am always on the lookout for anything Mack/truck related, second childhood i guess, but i really like them, especially the more "vintage" types ie: Winross,Corgi,Matchbox,Dinky etc. also have always collected trucking memorabilia in general too,old ads, brochures, belt buckles,etc...it's still amazing to me sometimes just what is still out there floating around!..................Mark
  2. I 've been "Cowcatcher" on the C.B. for a good many years (much to the dismay of my lovely wife)!...............................Mark
  3. I had my exaust manifold "Jet-hot" coated about 5 years ago to see if i could lower my pyrometer/exaust temp. a little on a long pull, its really held up well, and works as advertised, still looks great too! only thing is you have to ship the parts to them to be coated. I will see if i can find the records/reciepts...but i'm pretty sure its www.jet-hot.com Mark
  4. NICE! really something to see a "survivor" like this un-restored,if that truck could talk i'm sure it would be interesting to hear its history, thanks for posting the photos!......................................Mark
  5. Good story! never encountered a buzzard, but back when i drove for my Grandfather,i was taking a load of apples to the canning plant in South Jersey with his R-model, it was hot,i had the vent kicked open (the screen was rusted almost out) well, it was just getting dark,i heard a "bump" did'nt think much of it at the time. Then i felt something brush against my clutch leg, reached down, brushed it off thinking it was prolly a moth or so-fourth.went on a little further, felt fluttering down by my feet, turned on the dome light, found out a was a friggin' BAT! grenaded the brakes!,Flew out of the truck!, flaling wildly!,came real close to shitting myself!............................................Mark

  7. Thank Mrs. Vision if you like this one............. Three friends married women from different parts of the U.S. The first man married a woman from Wisconsin,He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning daily. It took a couple of days, but on the third day,he came home to a clean house and all the dishes done and put away. The second man married a woman from Montana,he gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, cooking, dishes and care for all the livestock. The first day he did'nt see any results, but the next day he saw it was getting better,by the the third day,he saw his house was clean, dishes were done, livestock all fed and watered, and a huge meal was on the table. The third man married a girl from New Jersey,he ORDERED her to keep the house spotless, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and folded and three hot meals on the table per day. He said the first day he did'nt see anything, the second day nothing, but by the third day, some of the swelling had gone down enough that he could see a little out of his left eye,his arm had healed enough that he was able to fix himself a sammich, and load/unload the dishwasher. He still has some difficulty when he pees

I found a picture of a hayward F on a truck photographers' site, interesting thing to me about this one is the bumper, looks like the same bumper i've seen on the factory V-12 yamaha equipped R-models ,i know Brockway installed V-12's in C.O.E's but have never seen nor heard of an F-model coming from the factory with an iron lung in it,anyone know if and how many there were?...................................Mark
