Welcome aboard from a (former) fellow jersean! born/raised in South Jersey.......couple of Jersey Guys on here good people,i don't care what the rest of them think!...........up in Brick i see,used to go to the stockcar races at Wall Stadium pretty regularly as a younger man,always liked the area.....still a few B-model wreckers around there,my cousin (Helmrich Towing & recovery) had quite a few of them "back in the day" good luck on the search,lots of info (and B.S.) here for the asking!...........................Mark

Believe me,thats money well spent! my brother and i took a "hop" in a B-17 at an airshow in Jersey about 10 years ago,what a thrill! i even got to sit in the co-pilots seat, i'll always remember the captains' remark to me when asked what it was like to fly a "fortress" he said,"Well son,it's kinda like flying a MACK TRUCK!" a great experience for sure! something you'll always remember!....................................Mark

Thanks for posting that picture Mike! the B-17 is my favorite WWII aircraft,my maternal grandfather was a right-door waist gunner on a "fortress" tough ol' bastard he was! shot down 3 times over Germany,he AND the whole crew lived to tell about it all 3 times!..................Mark

Saw a photo in a newspaper out west a few years back,it was a logging truck (loaded) and the story was about the the plight of the local logging industry anyway,the driver of the truck had put a sign on one of the logs that read "spotted owl mobile home in transit" seems it offended some of the local "treehuggers" that evidently have no families to suport,or no need to work for a living!..................Mark -

No,you're not wrong Ernie,tried teaching my kid "mandatory spanish" down here not too long ago,course i raised holy hell with the school! let them know our primary/ONLY language in our house is ENGLISH! i said "maybe the kids should have a better grasp on english BEFORE you try to teach them a "second" language".............THANKFULLY the kids down here are still reqiured to say the Pledge of alliegiance everyday...............Mark

Thats true,used to be they were everywhere! i havent seen any (other than ebay) for YEARS! i just don't like the "new" Mack logo,i still prefer the B-R-model era logo,let me know if you do come up with anything,i surely appreacieate it!..........Thanks,Mark
